By far the worst experience we have had camping. I almost didn't write this review, because I didn't want them to rob me of one more moment of joy. But I figured it would be worth my time to maybe save someone else the frustration. The pros - The campground itself is fine. The property/location and views are beautiful. The cons - I'll try not to write a novel. Ultimately, it comes down to the staff. Mainly "Stacey". I've never been spoken to with such disrespect. Her condescending tone and demeanor was unreal. My husband and I pride ourselves on teaching our boys to have respect for adults and to follow rules, especially when it comes to safety. The staff here were far from hospitable. They appear to be trolling around looking to scold people. It's borderline harassment. It is worth noting - we came to find out the permanent residents call the woman who drives around disciplining everyone the warden! We left one day early to try and salvage what was left of our holiday weekend. Let me finish by saying - I was told by multiple sources that this place was not a great place to camp. But in 20 years of camping, I've never been to a KOA that wasn't family orientated. So we opted to give it a chance and give them the benefit of the doubt! SMH! A KOA is supposed to be very kid oriented, but this place is not. This campground shouldn't even be a KOA. Every other KOA has a weekend full of activities, especially a holiday weekend. This place had one activity on Saturday. They also lie on the KOA site and said that the pool is open until 8, but on Sunday made everyone get out at 6. Also stated the pool is heated but was freezing cold. When we asked the counter, they first said it isn't heated until we said the website stated otherwise. They then changed their tune and said it was only heated to a certain temp and then shut off. The putt putt course looked extremely run-down and uninviting. The playground didn't even have wood chips, they used stones. That sucked for the kids that fell off the slide and didn't even have a soft landing. Our friends also rented a yurt and they didn't even have running water or a stove. Website also said these things are supposed to be included in the price. You would think that they would deduct some money off of the cost to rent the yurt for the inconvenience, or at least move them somewhere else. Absolutely don't recommend this campground if you've been to other KOAs and are looking for something family oriented. They care more about the seasonals than they do the families coming in for the weekend. Very disappointed in this campground. The owner seems to think that the dissatisfaction comes from them "confiscating" our rented golf cart due to violating their policy. That couldn't be further from the truth. The negatives were talked about amongst our group well before the "confiscation". And him saying they confiscated it Is also false as we voluntarily have it back when the option was given to keep it. read more

Be careful if you book this place during covid. New York is currently restricting visitors from my state and there is a mandatory quarantine upon arrival, with penalties up to $10,000, plus potential jail time. This quarantine mandate was imposed after I booked. When I called the campground to cancel, I was met with a rude response indicating I didn't have to follow the mandatory, state imposed quarantine and a refusal to refund my full amount paid, even though I was cancelling two weeks out. The campground charged me a cancellation fee and was completely inflexible. Bad business practices all around and completely oblivious to NY laws. Would not recommend at all! read more

This was our first time & they were very accommodating, giving us a beautiful site with great views. The park does cater to seasonal's so most of the spots are in open areas with smaller trees. The staff are all excellent. I would highly recommend this campground. Lots to do in the area. read more

Worst camping experience we've ever had. My husband and I along with our children have been camping for many years. 15 trips per summer. We've visited lots is campground in lots of states. Chautauqua lake koa was the worst weekend we have ever had. The campground itself is OK. Sites are a fine size. The pool is old and dirty with missing tiles and very old furniture. It's only about 3 feet deep so it's not great for grown ups. The putt putt is fine. The bounce pad is nice. The map will show a splash pad in the back of the park which there is not one. Altogether a clean campground. The issue we had was with staff. Every time we turned around the staff was scolding us like criminal children. I brought pretzels and sparkling water into the pool area for my kids on very hot day. No no My child was in the store buying pool noodles in her bathing suit...no no We put picnic tables together to eat with family and friends..no no The kids were climbing on a game in the playground.. No no It was forth of July. We lit a couple ground sparklers bought at the supermarket..no no They threatened to call the police on us. They point in your face and ask for names. (Are they gonna call my mom next?) it was so awful, so rude, I've never been treated like this in my life. Most campgrounds are very fun and relaxing. The KOA crew here are driving around doing "security patrol" all day and all night just waiting to stop anyone from enjoying themselves. We spent a lot of money to be there plus rented a golf cart plus buying things in the store... I wouldn't return if you paid me. read more

The campground is fine. It's a KOA so you have to have reasonable expectations. It's clean and the staff is pleasant enough. We stayed in the Deer cabin. It's cute and efficient. But let's be clear - it is not lake view, as advertised. It's more like, you can see the lake, but it is not a view of the lake. It would be more accurate to say it has a view of "the butt of a neighboring RV and a playground and if you look real hard you'll see a lake in the distance" view. See attached picture. Also, WiFi didn't work, the gas fireplace didn't work, and the heater wasn't working correctly either. You could get heat for about 15 minutes then it went frigid. It was very cold nights. I realize it's a KOA. But we're paying like $100 a night for this place. You have the right to expect the amenities promised. UPDATE: Upon returning to the campground, Anita met us at the gate to discuss this review. I promised there would be an update based on the actions taken. They sent maintenance over to see about the heating issue. It couldn't be resolved so they gave us a space heater. Great. Anita assured me the park does have WiFi at the lower bath house, but not up where our cabin was. Fine. The issue with the "lake view" was my perception and most people love it. Okay. Again, look at the pictures and judge for yourself. But on the website this cabin is advertised as having an "awesome view" of the lake. I take issue with that. Final word, we enjoyed our campfire, the cabin was fine, and most of the staff was pleasant enough. But management will sacrifice customer service for the sake of arbitrary rules. We'll no doubt stay at a KOA again, but probably not this particular one. read more

This rating is based on what happened when we left. We are locals that have never been here before. We have been past it, and all around it for years and have even recommended this camp to others. We had friends in from out of town stay here that we haven't seen in some time. I worked all day and knew it would be late when we got there. (After 8) Between the friend staying and another that visited the night before, I had thought I had the info I needed to visit, i was WRONG! We parked where we had been told we should and walked in. Apparently there was one sign that i missed seeing as i was looking at the very nice camp and thinking it would be fun to group came here the next time my friend came. (Not seeing the one important sign, just like running a stop sign... an accident!) When i didn't see signs directing us to the area we were looking for, I text my friend and he came and got us from the front gate. So we had "lingered" there for a few minutes with no interaction from staff. Just the one when we parked asking if we wanted the store that was closed and we said we were visiting. (The man did not direct us to do anything special, I know, not his job) Had a very nice visit and enjoying that camp very much. The HUGE problem happened when we were leaving. This is why the bad review! We were met by a VERY irate woman saying that they had been looking for us for over an hour. They were getting ready to call the cops and tow our car away. We were trespassing. I said sorry more time then I have ever done before. I apologized so many times for the mistake and the misunderstanding. We were on video as to when we arrived, ok. I did not deny anything. She seemed to unhinged! I paid her the $10 ($5 per visiter) and that didnt help. I kept my cool, but won't apologize again! She didn't have a mask on, neither did I as my hands were full with chair and water, which were put down to get my wallet. I text my friend and warned him of the issue. She took the money and stormed off... right to his site and gave him an ear full. I had taken full responsibility of being in the wrong, but that attitude of this woman(owner?) I really hope she didnt stroke herself out! In all... Nice camp!!!!! Nice view!!!! Lousy attitude for a mistake!!!!!!!!!! Will not recommend this place to anyone anymore, sorry. The negative reviews are befuddling to me - we've been treated well by everyone here, from the staff to the permanent campers. There are only two reasons I couldn't give them five stars: 1) There is no access to the lake. To get to the lake, you must pile in the car with the appropriate gear and drive to public access points nearby. 2) Only two restroom / shower rooms in each of two general use buildings. Even though most campers here have a trailer or 5th wheel with a shower and toilet, not all of us do or choose to use it. Additional restroom / showers would be quite nice. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. We will likely return. EDITED TO ADD: I stand corrected! After some exploration, I'm pleased to say they have more than four restroom / shower rooms. There are four at the lower bathhouse, two at the mid-park bathhouse, and more at the main building near the entrance. All were clean and spacious with lots of hot water. My bad! read more

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The campground is very beautiful and well maintained. We camped in a travel trailer and had a very spacious site overlooking Lake Chautauqua. Pros- Clean sites, extremely clean restrooms, spacious sites, great playgrounds, dog parks. The gave us a ride in the golf cart to and from the pool. Our site was by far our favorite ever:cement patio, table and chairs, swing. Cons- The pool is in need of repair. It is falling apart a bit and the heat in the pool was not refreshing. It does not have lake access. Not a lot of planned activities for kids 10 and under. The roads are not paved so our little guy could not ride his bike. read more

I was just with my mother when she called to get a couple questions answered. Anita had the most disgusting attitude I've truly ever heard in my life. For this being her job you'd think she'd be kinder to potential customers. From the moment she picked up the phone she was impolite, unpleasant and entirely dismissed my mother's inquiries because everything she was asking could be "easily done online." When my mother asked who she was speaking to she was hung up on. Thankfully when she called again, another worker gave the name. Anita, you should be ashamed of your behavior, and maybe consider a new profession where you don't have to talk to people because that's clearly not your strong suit. You've not only lost us as customers, but we will be sure to inform all friends and family to avoid this embarrassment of an establishment at all costs. read more

To whom it may concern: My wife and I along with 3 other couples all reserved buddy sites for the holiday weekend the 4th of July. My Wife an I pulled in was very friendly greeted and was told we need to wear masks, which I have no problem with. I proceeded to the office to check in. Walked in and had to wait a minute because of what I perceive as head of the camp grounds was having a non-business conversation. I gave the lady my number and information that I received as an E-Mail confirmation. When I was signing paper work she says oh this has a balance due. I said but my wife paid it in full with the card. She stated I'm not sure what it for she said it is $24.36 do you wish to leave it on your current card on file. I stated yes but did not know why there would be an additional charge. Being the trusting person I am (was now) I finished filling in the paperwork an was on my way. Upon re-entering our RV I ask the wife why would there be additional charge did you not pay it? She said lady she had talked to when booking stated the cost was $219.60. We look at each other being there was a line behind us to check in I said we would deal with it tomorrow. That next day the wife an I jumped in our friends golf cart (I will add about the golf cart at the end of this) We traveled up to the Office where I had checked in an my wife says she would go ask what the charge was for... The same lady says no your reading wrong it is giving you back the $24.36 of course that made my wife feel like a fool and came back out and made me feel like a fool also. By that time we were headed back to the camp site and I re-read the e-mail receipt. I said but it say that "I would have saved $24.36 if I had a Value Card. Now at that time I'm not very happy with the camp grounds. Then the couple I borrowed the golf cart from, proceeded to tell me about the requirement they had to have a written letter from the insurance company that stated that they where covered by insurance to ride on the property of Chautauqua Lake KOA. Paper work from insurance company had to specifically say Chautauqua Lake KOA or it would not be accepted. They talked to Progressive on this issue an they told them in all the years they have never had to make that kind of statement. After moving to another camp grounds only a few miles away and paying for a new KOA membership and talking to that owner they just smiled an shook their head. After getting home wife was doing check book balancing and low and behold that $24.36 was not a refund it was an up charge. So my wife called and questioned them again about this. Now their statement has changed to oh your value card had run out, so they had to charge us extra 10% that was given to us when the card was still valid. Now mind you 1st it expired on 6/30/2020 and it was 7/2/2020 that we arrived at camp grounds. Secondly on the 7/5/202 we paid the $33.00 to renewed membership. Now why would I not we willing to pay that $33 at the Chautauqua Lake KOA instead of paying a $24.36 penalty on Thursday then on Sunday willing ask to buy the renewal. One other thing that was not very good business is they stated in a voice mail that due to covid-19 you could not bring firewood. I check the policy on webpage and it says wood must be kiln dry. I called after getting this an asked about the fact that I always bring kiln dried wood from my job it is dried wood for Amish furniture. She came right out and said NO you might transfer the Covid-19 if other people would handle it. I said ok and shook my head but guess I understood. BUT... Now fast forward to camp grounds games that where open and not sanitized it any way shape or form, croquette game and the balls and handles where all handle by numerous people and hands. From adults to kids alike A carpet ball game that you put the balls back in a mail box after you were done never ever clean the time we were there. The play set for little ones to swing and climb were never cleaned while we were there. I guess this was pretty long winded but I just want you to understand when I give this KOA a bad review and I read many other bad reviews should make you wonder about your franchise. I will say it was the cleanest Camp Grounds I've been to. I had been walking my dog and he stopped to do his thing. I reached in my pocket to get the poop bags and some how I had lost them. I turned and back tracked until I had found them and before I could get back it had been picked up.. Garbage is not left to set out in front of your RV for very long it is picked up an taken away in what seems like less then 10 minutes time. So at this I give them a big thumbs up... With all this in mind. Wouldn't it have been appropriate for your owner that I am sure gets a cut of the renewal cost to say to me hey your card is run out. Bottom line....this is not a friendly campground. The manager and most of the employees are beyond rude, both to registered campers and friends or relatives who might visit you. Only stay here if you enjoy being belittled, scolded for non-existent infractions, and being treated like a child. Campers who stayed on both sides of us swore they would never return given the meanness of the manager. Needless to say we shall never return either. Plus, the campsite is not that well cared for or equipped. The shower heads are in poor condition, the pool is big enough for about 4 people, the miniature golf is un appealing, and the horseshoe pits are overgrown with weeds. And they should not even advertise free wifi because no one I talked to was able to get it! read more

We have camped here before it was a KOA and found it to be a better experience. We are now here as visitors and right off the bat just listening to the women behind the counter speak named Anita be so condescending to each customer was a put off. Anyhow as a KOA I would expect in this day and age they'd accept credit cards for more than just a reservation. They need to get with the times. The volume of paperwork to visit was similar to purchasing a house, not understandable. Also the check in/store needed a/c it is stifling hot. We have been pretty avid KOA campers in the past this experience visiting will most likely keep us away for them for our own camping trips. read more

I should start by saying that this place is so beautiful and very well kept. However, the owner of this place is completely out of control! She is blatantly rude to campers and their guests for no reason! I really think she does not know how to speak to people without conflict. Every camper we spoke to during our three day stay here felt exactly the same way. You are not allowed to bring in your own firewood, have a tent on your campsite, pool rules are extremely strict including no food or drink in pool area, and no alcohol outside of your campsite! We are very low key campers and did not really get in any "trouble" but felt very on edge the whole time. We came in at dusk with two campers and did not immediately read both sets of rules. Big Mistake! Our kids wanted to tent camp so we set up a tent outside the camper. Early the next morning the owner came flying in screaming that we needed to take the tent down immediately. I understand that it was against the rules but there is ways to approach people in a friendly manner. We would have still taken the tent down immediately. As we found out they are not afraid to call the cops on their customers... The campsite across from us had two county cops there due to having an dog without proper papers. Other campers had similar horror stories. To top it off we came back to the camper after a wonderful day on the lake and had no water! Bottom line - there are other nice places to stay in this area and next time I will choose one of those! read more

This is NOT the camp for you if you have children or plan to have family/friends visit you during the day. We loved our visit here! We were in the newer section with a view of the lake, no you are not "lakeside" but you can see the lake. The deluxe patio sites were awesome. The table, chairs and glider were so clean as was the patio and even the fire pit had been cleaned up. Our only issue with our site was that the sewer was quite far away and we needed 3 extension hoses to reach it! Yes, there are many seasonal people here, but all were friendly enough. WE were welcomed warmly and chose to follow the clearly stated rules. I can see why some people might be put off by some rules, but I was glad to stay in a place that was so clean, comfortable and safe. I wish this campground were closer, I would gladly stay again. read more

This is a nice camp ground with rude staff. They called to confirm our reservation and stated no one can register after 8pm. My husband and I were leaving after work the next day and expecting to arrive at 8:30pm. After much discussion they said to call when we were on our way and let them know what time we would be there. Web site also says to call for late arrival arrangements. Fortunately my husband and I were able to leave work early and arrived at 6:30pm. Our son however could not leave early and had an ETA of 8:35pm. We were told at check in he could not enter. After much discussion, argument and rudeness it was resolved. This was not a fun, stress free way to start our camping weekend. They have multiple websites and all rules are NOT listed on all the sites. Very easy to miss their very strict requirements. Make sure you have $20 cash with you for the gate parking card. At check in employees did not have masks on. read more

We have been here for 8 yrs now. It's clean, peaceful, relaxing, just what we like at a campground. The sites are large, spacious, and inviting. The owners are pleasant and hardworking. Almost all problems have been with people who do not read the rules or feel that rules are made for others, not them. If you have a dog with you, keep it on a 6' leash. And please, shut your dog up! No one wants to hear it bark at every person walking past your site all day! Leave it home if its a yapper! Do not bring firewood into the park! Emerald Ash Borer is spreading. There are state laws that must be followed. If you want a loud, unruly weekend of drinking all day and night, don't come here! Every campground we have ever been to has had these rules very much in line with this place. Here they are enforced as they should be! It is a safe place for families and the 2 playground areas are very well thought out. The 2 dog play areas are also very nice. Reading the reviews one will notice that quite often the people complain, but never let you know what they did wrong to cause their situation to escalate into being told to leave. Yes, we were without power for a couple of hours Father's Day weekend? The place was filled to capacity. It was extremely hot that day and everyone had their AC running full blast. It was resolved without causing anyone to be that uncomfortable. Things happen. To demand restitution for a couple of hrs inconvenience is unfair. There is WiFi, but they ask that you don't play games that eat up the band width. Be considerate. The new electrical grid should take care of the electrical power in the future. If you want a relaxing week near Chautauqua Lake with beautiful, large camping sites, this is the place to be! The tent area is so pretty in the woods. The premium patio sites are gorgeous! Absolutely incredible campground! We enjoyed it so much, we bought a permanent site after the first weekend... We have met so many incredible people. Beautiful, well maintained setting, management who are amazing and helpful. Sunset views of the lake, walking trails, dog parks and just an overall relaxing place to be! Bill is very helpful and eager to lend a hand, Anita is always pleasant and works around the clock!! Great job Anita and Bill. We always enjoy coming here, even though we have a permanent site in another local campground. We had a perfect view for seeing the fireworks last evening. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. The pool is awesome as well as the playgrounds and doggie parks. The management enforcement of rules makes this a very pleasant stay. We will be coming back again and again, Lord willing. read more

A pretty spot, limited lake views, lots of seasonal sites, big sites in the new open area, gravel roads there, with grassy sites, The bath house shower head way too high on the wall and not able to control water temp to a personal level of warmth. water turned off every few minutes as well. Nice playgrounds and a very nice pool, however very far away from the sites which are rented. they had a small pavilion which had no furniture in it. We would have used it in the rain had there been a few picnic tables there. The staff needs some customer service training. They were abrupt, bossy, and unaccommodating. We had reserved 4 sites, months earlier. One of the four parties who had reserved was unable to use their rv site, so they upgraded $$ to a cabin for the 3 nights . The additional cost of this upgrade probably came close to the cost of the vacated rv (buddy site), yet we were moved from our 1/2 a buddy site away from the others because they said they couldn't leave us alone on half of the buddy site. I politely discussed this matter with the office after we came in and saw where they moved us. It was a considerable distance from the original sites where the rest of the family were. The original buddy sites remained empty for all 3 nights. They would not agree to accommodate us. They admitted to having many cancellations due to the rainy weekend forecast . There were empty sites within the park for the drop in camper. Our 4 groups had reserved this time back in april...and they get your $$ early too when you reserve. This irked me all weekend, and we were staying there 3 nights as were the folks who had to move to the cabin and pay more. Our other two groups of family were staying 2 nights. KaChing!! profitable for this KOA, yet they couldn't bend and let us have that spot closer to the rest. Unreasonable, not customer oriented at all. Not good for business either, as all four of our groups will probably not return. Thank goodness this is not the norm for the many other KOA's we have enjoyed around the country and in Canada. Corporate should take a look here and bring this one up to snuff. read more

I camped over the Memorial Day weekend and I have to say this was the worst camping experience I've ever had. I usually don't write reviews but this one is a must if it saves other campers from wasting thier vacation time and money. I was NEVER treated so rudely by the owner of this campground. KOA should be ashamed to have this woman represent them. I had a guest show up and she threatened to not let him in because she was busy with bingo. She was just nasty, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I gave her my money to be treated like a child and placed in a parking lot that is called a campsite. If I could give this place a negative star rating I would! If you are under the age of 30 and looking for a relaxing weekend with friends DO NOT COME HERE! You will be profiled, lied to and sent away! My party of 4 people traveled here for the holiday weekend, we read through the policies and despite the negative reviews we decided to stay here because of its clean reputation and family like atmosphere. We had two 22 year olds an 18 year old and a 17 year(the little brother of one of the 22 year olds). We pulled in to a female that answered her phone call and dismissed us. After finishing up her call she began the check in process, when she asked if we were all 21 she stated that since two people in our party were under 21 and they were not with parents we could not stay at the campsite( a rule which was NOT stated on the policies). She proceeded to LIE and state that it was on the website and go further to belittle us and say "no one else seems to have a problem understanding." When further pressed on the issue she admitted to making up the rule and simple stating that she "owns the campsite and can do whatever she wants." The women inconvenienced 4 clean kids that had only plans to explore the beautiful Chautauqua area. Sadly we will never be back or recommend this awful, terrible place to anyone. read more

My sister and I are avid campers and love staying at KOA's. We camp with her two younger children being the reason why we love KOA's with all the family friendly amenities and activities that are available. This was by far the most ridiculous place I have ever camped and created one of the worst camping experiences, not only for myself but for the children. The owner's are absolutely some of the rudest people I have ever met. They made multiple false accusations and then proceeded to make us leave the premises. I can't imagine if we lived hours away and had to travel home at 6:30 pm with two small children. I was so blown away and could not comprehend that this was really happening. Let a lone with no reason. Both of them are extremely hostile and condescending . I deal with the public every day I could not imagine speaking to someone the way they spoke to me. I would be sure to read all of the reviews before staying here because everything that is stated in the negative reviews are very true. This place does not deserve to be KOA there is nothing family friendly about this place!! read more

My husband and I have been to this KOA now twice. Both times we were greeted with a warm reception by the owner, Anita. Our sites both times were meticulously maintained, as were the entire grounds. We'll definitely be back when in the area. read more

This campground is an absolutely miserable place to stay, especially for those just looking to vacation/relax. The owners are on a power trip and make up new rules every day. They are extremely unprofessional and rude (Anita mostly). They obviously have never heard of the saying that the customer is always right. I wish I could give a 0 rating but the campground was clean and well kept. First of all I would like to say that my family enjoys a campground that is quiet and slow paced and I LOVE rules and LOVE following them. I have young kids but they are not high energy by any means and they too know the rules are there for a reason. This camp ground was absolutely horrible. The owner/manager Anita has zero customer service skills and is constantly manufacturing lies to suit her own agenda. The only thing I hate worse than a liar is someone who insults my intelligence and there was plenty of that. Negative, Condescending, Rude and Disrespectful. Under better management this campground could be amazing but with the current management I will never even consider returning. Unless you are a senior citizen or looking to spend a rainy weekend inside your camper I would steer clear of this campground. Our weekend was filled with stress and anxiety between the constant monitoring of our site and the sites of all of our friendly surrounding neighbors. Our experience at KOA Chautauqua was nothing but brief and awful, dealing only with rude and unpleasant people. We, a group of four responsible college students, wanted to spend a weekend away with our friends, hiking and enjoying all that the Chautauqua region has to offer. We had booked our cabin reservation for four adults (listed as 18+ on the website) for three nights over the Columbus Day weekend. It was after we had driven over an hour to the campsite that when we went to check in, we were turned away because there was an assumption made that we would be drinking and rowdy. We stated that that would not be the case, that we would be quiet and follow the campsites rules, however we were denied our prepaid reservation still because we were not all over 21 (two members were over 21, two were under), which was listed no where in the policy or on the reservation form. The owner tried to tell us that it was a New York State law that all members of the booking party need to be over 21 in order to reserve a cabin, however, after a small amount of research this was found to be untrue. Still unwelcome after being lied to, we were forced to leave and abandon our vacation plans that we had made over a month in advance all because it was assumed that because we were young students we would be loud and obnoxious. I would absolutely never recommend KOA Chautauqua to any friend, family member, acquaintance, business associate, enemy, or anyone else who enjoys life to any extent. Mega sucks. read more

0 stars would have been more appropriate. My in laws stayed here and they are avid koa campers. They stayed in the cabins outside of the gate, even though they paid this koa to stay there... They could not be inside the park after closing with the rest of our party! The owner is extremely rude and needs customer service classes. It actually became the joke of the vacation how many times we could be spoken to in a day, or how many new rules we could learn about the camp ground. The pool rules are ridiculous. You have to sign in by campsite to enter the pool. Which I might add is the only reason they caught on to us sleeping 12 in the cabin for 4 for the entirety of the vacation ( I also might add it easily and comfortably sleep 8 but they don't allow more than 4) and you can't have visitors in the cabin because they want to "keep the floors clean" or "use the toilet paper". We also booked a "lake side" site... The lake was easily a half mile away across the main road behind the actual lakeside houses. The best part of the trip was the laughs at the absurd rules. And the saddest part is almost every review says the same thing, yet nothing changes. read more
