A friend and I had a great stay here last night. (We came here for the 4 for 44 race.) The pillows were a bit too soft. The room was really nice. I like how the fridge is hidden behind that panel. The paintings in the room are nice and so is the lighting. Checkout was fast and easy. We checked out too early for breakfast but they had a breakfast bag that I asked for. They usually don't have them in the weekends but she was nice enough to give me one. It was a paper bag that had a water (with a little powder packet in it to make it into an iced tea), an apple, and a small Greek yogurt cake. It was sealed with a travel happy sticker. The dark roast coffee I took before I left was pretty good. I would definitely stay here again, if I came down here again.

A decent Hampton Inn although not exactly the best for several reasons. * Unless they offer them in their one or two suites, the hotel does not offer fridges in the rooms like the overwhelming number of Hamptons do at this point. I suppose it's not a big deal but the no fridge thing is annoying. When I was checking in another guest was mentioning this and the desk staff told her that they've never had them and if you need one you're SOL. * A lot of Hamptons now offer three hot items in their chafing dishes where as this location is still only offering two. The morning we were there it was some sad ass looking "eggs" and some seriously greasy sausage (blech!). * The view from our room of the cemetery across the road was well... * While the hotel has an indoor pool it is microscopic and again, unlike most Hampton locations or even chain locations in general there is no hot tub. Also the hotel has some odd rules about no one being allowed to swim alone or something to that effect. The woman who checked us in tried to explain it to me and my eyes rolled back in my head so I don't remember the end of what she said. * Not exactly a lot of things food wise in the nearby area. McD's is nearly in their parking lot and a Tim Horton's in right behind the building on a hill plus a Bob Evans across the street but after that the options thin out in a hurry. Now to counterbalance all of my moaning and groaning. The location on/off I-86 is great and if you're in town for any of the Lucy related sites the hotel is nicely situated at around five minutes away. Also there is ample parking and multiple entrances which made going out to the car super easy. While the room was clean and the rate was great, there are enough annoying issues that will keep this place's rating in my book very much in the middle. I stayed at three different Hampton locations three straight nights on the trip I was on and this one was easily a very mediocre number three out of three.

The DoubleTree in Jamestown went above and beyond. Upon entering my room, I saw a handwritten note that let me know about all they had done to accommodate my request. The manager had gone out of her way to purchase muffins, breakfast granola bars and oatmeal. She also communicated this to the weekend staff during my visit, who handled this flawlessly. I was super impressed with this kindness and hospitality of the manager and the staff I interacted with during my stay. Beyond that, I thought the breakfast buffet was above average with its many fruit offerings, as well as the standard fare. I ordered an egg white omelette both days, and it was just okay. The room was large and clean. The fitness center had a good collection of equipment, though the hand wipes were empty both days. All in all a very positive experience. Would highly recommend and stay again if I ever return to the area.

As always, yummy warm cookies, bottles of water, upfront diamond parking, and this location is clean/updated. Even the maintenance guy was friendly and jovial. Plus, a great location for walking to the nearby comedy museum. We did the Lucy sites driving tour as well. What a gorgeous city! THIS is how Hilton is meant to be experienced. Well done, kudos.

The owner was nice and accomodated us on the night that we needed to stay instead of the night that was actually booked through their system. Below is a list of pros and cons. I would not recommend staying here. My husband and I stayed in the 101 Davis room. Pros: Extremely comfortable King size bed, Clean, non smoking, internet access, 2 soft bath robes provided, plenty of towels provided, owner was nice and accomodating given the situation. Cons: Everything was outdated and in need of an upgrade: cracked stained ceiling, old carpet, window air conditioning unit that sounded like it was going to take off. The private bathroom is across hallway- not connected to room and the window in bathroom did not open nor did it have an exhaust fan. The dorm fridge provided was hardly balancing on an old chair, not safe or stable at all. Lastly their breakfast was okay at best. I've had better breakfast at hotel chains that offer continental breakfast. All that was offered was scrambled eggs, sausage and some fruit. No homemade pastries, pancakes, potatoes, quiche or typical "Bed and Breakfast" food. No jelly or jam and the 4 slice toaster didn't cut it when you had a room full of people waiting to make toast. We were very disappointed, especially after reading the good reviews from others.

Air just standing, no circulation. The whole first floor smelled like wet carpet and a poorly ventilated pool area. You know that stale smell rooms get when they've been closed up for a long time with no airflow. That was the smell. Room 114 felt the exact same way. Heavy, still air, same smell. Okay, we'll deal, just need the AC. Set it to 68, cooling mode. Nothing. No air, no fan, the unit didn't even kick on. Tried a couple times. Nothing. I have video. Looked at the window thinking I'd just open it. Bolted shut. Down to the front desk. They had one other room, 100. A staff member came with me to check. Same dead air, same smell in there too. That AC was at least blowing, but the air wasn't cold. He didn't argue. No other rooms available. That was it. So at this point: no working AC in either room, hot stagnant air everywhere, that musty smell, no window I could open, no third option. We called Chase Travel from the lobby and drove to another hotel across the street. When we checked in at the place across the street and explained why we were coming over, the lady at the desk asked, "First floor?" We said yeah. She smiled, shook her head, didn't say anything else. Take that for what it's worth... The real kicker came after. The hotel refused to refund the stay even after I sent them video of the AC not working. Four phone calls to Chase Travel, and an escalation before Chase finally refunded me themselves because the hotel wouldn't. If you're going to book here, at least skip the first floor. Honestly, I'd skip this place entirely.

It was the only hotel available at the time and could not leave as the Hampton just across and other hotels were all booked in October. The walls had food or vomit on them? There was garbage all around the bed with a filthy carpet. The first day I asked the young lady at the desk if she can send someone to clean the carpet as there was dried food or vomit on the floor. That never happened! The air conditioner was full of mold and when turned on it hit you in the face. The toilet and tub had black mold all over. The laundry room was filthy and hadn't been used for a long time. There was ancient black lint in the catcher, and I lost my $2 in quarters to a dryer that didn't work. Thank goodness for a Dollar Tree nearby to be able to buy disinfecting wipes, Lysol, spray cleaner and paper towels. I wiped some vomit off the wall and disinfected the toilet and tub w Lysol and cleaned the mold off the air conditioner as well as the dirty dusty phone and counters. At breakfast, there was a Mexican/Hispanic man with a red face that didn't speak English every morning stealing all the hard-boiled eggs as soon as they are placed in the tray. I watched him put 12 eggs in the small bowl. Reported it to Mr. Patel at the desk but nothing was done. Every morning, he repeated the same routine. Across from my room was a mother daughter who appeared homeless and disheveled. There were many sketchy unkempt people at breakfast and hanging around the hotel creating drama. One lady asked me if I could give her a ride somewhere and another at another time asked if she could travel south with me when I leave and that she would be happy to ride in the trunk. She said its warmer in the south and that she could live better on the streets than she could in cold Jamestown. I asked her questions to find out what's going on with these Druggy looking patrons and she told me that the town is paying for her stay at the Clarion since she just got out of jail. Needless to say, I was frightened to stay there. So apparently there is a program to house homeless people and illegals in this hotel, which they do not tell you. Be Careful at this hotel! PS. forgot to mention that they do not completely take off the incident charge from your charge card after you check out. I called after I left 2 weeks ago and the older Mr Patel told me it would be credited. After another 2 weeks which makes one month since I checked out, the charge was still there so I called my credit card co and reported it. The company gave me credit but not them. They should have paid me for cleaning up their room! Be careful and wary of unexplained charges on your card way after you leave!

Jamestown happened to be the halfway point between a two-day roadtrip. We decided to book LaQuinta Inn & Suites seeing as though they were a pet-friendly hotel and we had our Shih Tzu with us. First up, the maskless, unprofessional employees. Upon entering the hotel, you will see a sign at the front door stating "Masks Required." Apparently that doesn't mean for employees. I walked into the lobby to check in and no one was at the front desk. There was, however, a person sitting off to the side watching the tv in the lobby. I thought he was just a guest hanging out because he was in a tattered shirt that looked like it was from the local bar down the street. When he finally notices I'm at the empty counter, he gets up and walks over... maskless. Filthy rooms When staying in these types of hotels, I don't expect the prestine rooms of a Fairmont or a Four Seasons, but I do expect, at the very least, a clean room. Every counter top had stains clear as day as if it hasn't been wiped off in sometime. In the entrance, there was clearly pee from an animal. In the bathroom, pee all over and around the toilet (from a human, I hope). Don't even get me started on the night tables. Let's just say it looked as if someone recently relieved themselves. Smoke I had to place a towel at the bottom of the door because of the smell of cigarette smoke. Clearly someone was smoking in their room or lit a cigarette near our door. Whatever the case may be, I'm pretty certain there was no smoking signs throughout the hotel. Are we back in the 50's?
