Mario and his guys did an awesome job on removing our trees. We had 5 palm trees, each were 60' tall, 60' Liquid Amber and 3 huge Melaleuca trees about 40' tall. His crew manicured our giant Sago palm, removed 3 stumps, stacked the logs out by the curb for people to take some fire wood and had the entire property cleaned up and looking great by the end of the day. You lost a shot for ever recruiting us as a future customer. I just saw the cameras of what just happened at MY house. Older gentleman, literally waltz into my backyard to check out our tree. We never called you guys. We never reached out to you guys for an estimate, I'm not sure who hell told you guys we called but we surely did not. But who the hell comes to someone else's backyard unannounced! Who does that?!!! That is so unprofessional! That is so beyond fucked up to just go into someone's else home. Mario Chavez's company, Chavez Tree Service, goes out of their way to do a thorough, complete and safe job! We have a 3+ story tall California Nash. When we purchased our home, the tree had not been trimmed in 6 years... as well as an orange, lemon, 2+ story tall fig and numerous 50+ years old mature rose bushes. His guys came prepared to work, they were safe and took all proper precautions and completed the job in less than 2 hours. They trimmed the giant California Nash perfectly even at the very top. Whe they finished trimming, the front and back yard was totally cleaned up & they even went out of the way to rake/blow/mulch all the past many many months of fallen leaves (which totally covered the front yard like a blanket). All branches and leaves they cut down were mulched, and like I mentioned, they went above and beyond to even clean up our yard from the debris which had been there even prior to their arrival! At no extra charge! Also, their price was the best out of all 8 estimates I got. We even received a free estimate from Mario himself & I would hire them again when our large trees need it in another 1.5-2 years. Mario and his foreman were the nicest people! If I could have given zero stars I would have. A few years ago Chavez Tree Service was fair priced and did good work. Apparently Chavez Tree Service has gotten to big and now has a terrible attitude. I called and made an appointment for Chavez Tree Service to give me an estimate to remove a vine growing on my block wall and now up my garage wall. He asked for the appointment between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm. He calls me at 1:30pm telling me he is at my house. I am driving my wife to do errands since she cannot drive due to fractured upper right arm and fractured left hand. I told him the appointment was between 4:00pm-4:30pm. He did not show-up at the agreed upon time. I set him a text and called him after 4:30pm to inquire if he was coming. He hung up on me. Very, very bad business manners. I would never, ever recommend Chavez Tree Service to any person. read more

Antonio came highly rated from my neighbor. He gave me a quote that we agreed upon and set up a time. The tree was in my neighbors yard and I made the arrangements. When he finished, I called the neighbor and it appeared to be finished. Antonio came to my house and was paid. Neighbors husband came home and discovered under the dirt and ground cover was still a stump and the entire root, ( about 3 feet wide) and none of the roots had been touched. Neighbor has a replacement tree being delivered soon. Made a call with the info and Antonio responded "your right, I'll be back". Called three times and sent numerous text. Reccommemded neighbor also called and no response. Three weeks later and no word from Antonio. Neighbor and I removed the stump since. In my opinion, communication skills we very poor. His follow thru on work that was not completed was non existent. read more

They don't mess around their crew took down a huge Pine Tree in my backyard that weighed approximately 4 tons that is a potential Hazard should it fall during the raining season. Mario the owner is going to finish up the job and he trimmed my property line and cut a little bit of the neighbors trees which is absolutely okay to do per the code everything on my property line is fair game it will grow back I would ignore the comment that that person made not fair to the crew at all I would like to see that person get up there and even try to cut a tree. I would recommend them five stars cheaper than everybody else who came over and quoted me. It's going to look good after I put my pool and new BBQ patio deck. read more

Very pleased ! I got 4 different quotes to remove a tall tree along with the stump and one other stump. They came on time and were very efficient. There were about 4-5 guys and he supervised the hole time. He also gave us a fantastic price to remove a orange tree stump and another little tree that was growing pretty tall ... we couldn't pass it up so they also did that while they were here for less then the price of the other quotes we received. I had a very large brittle and dry tree that was dangerously leaning towards the street and decided that we needed this tree out as soon as possible. I called for several estimates and got a lot of friendly voices with high prices which repeated how clean they are. Mario came the same day I called and he gave us lowest estimate. Within a couple days l called him to proceed and he came following morning with his crew and had great team of professionals who finished within 2 hrs. and workers left yard cleaner after completing.
