Very great experience at Salon Kazumi! It had been about 4-5 years since I last had my hair bleached, and I had discussed my concerns with Haruka about my hair drying out or becoming weak due to the bleaching during the first consultation appointment with her. She was informative and acknowledged my concerns about wanting to achieve the burgundy color on my original dark brown hair. At my second appointment, Haruka was very patient and skilled with bleaching my hair, and then I was a little bit scared when she brought out the bubble gum pink color later on. But Haruka proved to be very trustworthy, and I am absolutely in love with my balayage!!! I have gotten so many compliments about the burgundy color. Most importantly, my hair really complimented my look on my wedding day! Photo taken is a little bit more than 1 month after I got my balayage at Salon Kazumi. I love the way the color turned out. This review is for Haruka! My hair is pretty difficult to work with, but Haruka did an excellent job. She is an expert in coloring hair and was able to get the color I wanted in just one session. She even provided recommendations based on the fact that I am in a busy season of life and will be unable to come frequently to maintain my hair. Bleach was used but my hair doesn't feel damaged. She's also super sweet, has a calm demeanor, is extremely hospitable, and attentive to you. This is a well kept salon and seems to have an upscale clientele but even though I came in looking bum-ish because I came after just rolling out of bed, I did not feel any judgment from her. I drove through 1.5 hrs of traffic back and forth for a total of three hours but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend! All in all, very satisfied with the experience. One thing to note though is that they do charge for blow drying and styling after coloring your hair. I was also looking around and seeing the results of other customers and everyone looked very satisfied and you could tell that the stylists are all very talented! read more

Kazumi herself is very up to date on the latest beauty and hair techniques and always has her clients' best interest in mind when it comes to health and aesthetics. The BEST for thin hair!!! This is actually my hair without extensions in the back, after a few months of tape-ins installed by Kazumi ! The weight of the extensions helped sooo much with my growth - Kazumi is really amazing because she applies them on a tiny bit of your hair, so there's no damage upon removal! Haruka was the make up artist for my friend's wedding for us bridesmaids and I can't sing her praises enough. As a dark skinned black woman, it is hard for me to get my make done in a way that not change my natural features or make me much lighter than I am. For this reason, I have a hard time trusting other ethnicities to do my make up. Haruka however is proof that a true artist can work with all materials.
