My favorite part about the experience, though, had to be the Polish pottery displayed all about the room. The owner shared the fascinating history about how these beautiful pieces are made. Which is exactly why I was so pleased to find the newly opened Nature Composed shop on the ground floor of the Middleburg Events Studio. If you like #basic flowers than this shop is not for you -- they work with local farmers to provide in season blooms that are arranged in a loose, flowy, artful way. Like it was just picked from a field! What really caught my eye was all of their terrariums placed in vintage containers all over the store. I literally ran from corner to corner exclaiming with glee and joy and asking tons of annoying questions along the way. The florist never lost patience with me and carefully explained all of the items they had in stock and also let me know about future workshops and fun things they have coming for the spring time. I went home the proud owner of a mounted staghorn fern (pricing on par to what I've seen on Etsy but I was happy to be able to inspect and choose in person) and ideas on how I want to decorate my home. They also sell really interesting bohemian crystal and brass jewelry that I'll probably dream about until my next trip. They also do weddings too. Seriously shut up and take ALL MY MONEY!

I wanted an arrangement of flowering plants, not typical flowers, and def not the "peace lily " variety. I called Autumn Leaves and A., the florist I spoke to, agreed with my plan, contacted the wholesaler to see what would be available, and was able to get me a 3 plant arrangement with a tasteful basket that was 20$ cheaper than the two arrangements offered through the online retailer! She really went above and beyond and communicated so easily and effectively that the transaction was a breeze!! She assured me she knew the location and would be able to deliver my arrangement. This is the way customer service works. Perfect.

There were also hard water lines on the inside of the vase where the water had evaporated over the last few days/week. This was clearly an old bouquet, either made for someone else and not used, or maybe for a display in the store, and then they just used it for my arrangement.... without even bothering to put the flowers in clean water. Very disappointing.
