French Tip
Jackie B.

Wow it's taken me too long to write a review! I'm a super fan of Emily's and have been to see her I think 4 or 5 times now. She's a perfectionist with the cuticles, and I appreciate that so much because mine get dry and visible after a while. I don't do anything too hip. I'm just not capable of pulling it off. But she did a modern French tip gel manicure with red on the tip and a nude base and amazing! I got complimented quite a bit. I made sure to refer them to Emily since she's the rhyme and reason behind the sweet nails. Yesterday I went pink and she did this amazing hibiscus design. So. Cute!

I got a gel x with Tracie and the service was immaculate. I didn't know nail shapes or that my nail bed being curved would affect the service I chose but everyone there was so helpful and helped me leave with a lovely set of nails. Also, the salon is gorgeous! They have stunning decor. Nice music playing and the atmosphere was so positive. I love going to places where everyone there loves their job!! It's definitely a place I will be returning to! Thank you for helping me have the perfect nails to get engaged in!

On the pricier side but my technician was awesome! She really made sure to take everything into careful consideration and detail! Parking is at the public parking across the street called Athena parking or street parking.

I went in for a mani & a pedi and the service was fantastic! I really loved the mask, scrub, moisturizer process to prep my feet for a pedicure, it was very relaxing. Next time I'll probably pay extra for the leg massage. It's so worth it! Everyone was friendly and nice, this place will be my go to from now on

This past Thursday, I visited this salon. I've never been to a better nail salon than this one. The atmosphere was great from the moment I stepped in. The person that attended me was from New York; I was unable to get her name, but she was incredible. She was really helpful in assisting me with nail art selection. She treated my nails with such kindness and gentleness the entire time. My nails turned out precisely like I had envisioned. They were all quite amiable, and there was a positive atmosphere among the other customers as well. Without a doubt, I would return frequently. You have to go!

Tiffany & Co. mail match

I don't know what all these complaints about pricing is about. If you get what you pay for, maybe you do pay a a bit more but you get more as well. They color matched my Tiffany clutch and scarf and it wasn't extra. Danielle was very attentive and took the time to do a great job. Even my pedicure by Perla was better than the ones I used to get at "cheaper" nail salons. Furthermore, the salon is so clean you could probably make microchips inside it. I can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Fave fave fave!!! From the complimentary free snacks, drinks, coffee, & tea to the 5 star killer service & spotlessly stylist decor! I'm officially a fan! Told myself I wouldn't do gel again, but their samples of the FX Gel pointed nails were too cute to resist hehe Ashley did a phenomenal job on my new claws, she was super sweet, professional, and a nail perfectionist Owner Melodie is sucha sweet stylist doll too! Something about having an owner physically at their business makes me feel more secure as a client. Stoked to return & try their hair & facial services! Much Love Cheyil Team!

The color I asked for was 067

I really really wanted to love this place, and I would give it five stars if it wasn't for the color issue and crazy price. The decor and ambiance is beautiful it's spacious and it smells awesome in there. Black owned is awesome too. I can't remember who I sat down with but she did an amazing job shaping my nails and the appliance of the paint was gorgeous. My only issue I had was that the color I chose to begin with was not the color I came out with. I noticed it wasn't the same type of color after she applied it to the first nail on my pinky, but I asked if it would get more of a green hue as we layer it on and she assured me that it would. I've had this similar color before but with a purple base instead of a blue one and it also needed layering so I trusted that it would be the same thing. However, after the third layer she finished with a clear coat and it just didn't look like the color i wanted. It's still a quality application and color I would just never have chosen this had I known it was blue not green. Even the nail tech agreed with me after the finished product was done and she said sometimes the display sets can be deceiving which isn't great cause now it's done and I wasn't gonna ask her to redo the entire thing. I also got a pedicure, it was super thorough and she gave me some advise to take care of my nail because I'd broken it. It turned out gorgeous. I think I got the regular pedicure, nothing too extreme. I also got some partial gel removal before starting. Anyways, the price overall for a gel mani pedi was $145 before tip... I understand quality products and attentive care but this just felt a little excessive for what I got. I did look through here for prices and the most I saw for a pedicure was $60, idk maybe the prices need to be updated or posted I just didn't expect 145.

But when he asked me what hair cut I wanted and showed him a picture of a burst fade Mohawk and he proceeded to ask have you had this haircut before. Then I showed him a picture of me with the haircut I wanted (which was a burst fade Mohawk) and he proceeded to say "is that really you". This was at the beginning of the hair cut. Mid way he asked a second time if I had ever had this hair cut before which I answered yes. Also at the beginning he had mentioned how much are we taking off the top. I mentioned just a little bit and we can work our way down. When it came to cutting the top I feel he had gone too low. At that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. Or if your specialty is clean cuts then tell your client so they can make the decision of sitting in the chair. I may come back to try with someone else to cut my hair since I feel the people here have some skill.

As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. Daniel is absolutely amazing! Not only is he an absolute sweetheart and an awesome person all…read morearound but he also truly takes the time to put his focus and care into each one of his clients. It was my very first time with The Hideout Salon and not only was he understanding of any scheduling rearrangements we had to make, he also made sure to make it a point that we would be setting enough time aside for what we would anticipate needing so that when the time came, there would be zero rush along with top quality service which makes a huge difference in customer experience compared to factory booking which sacrifices quality, time, and attentiveness for squeezing in numbers, and as clients we all greatly appreciate this! While I was waiting Allie was very sweet and settled me in/welcomed me and offered me something to drink. The decor of the place felt very cozy and cute. If youre a dog lover you'll also be very happy to probably see a friendly cute Lil doggo named Carl (Karl?) comfortably shimmying his way around the shop (and if youre scared of dogs dont worry, he really just does his own thing Lol). Hes So darn cute and floofy. I came in for both a color and a consultation for a potential cut. Because I sometimes tend to notice/look at details that others may want to gloss over or perceive as me overanalyzing, it felt really difficult for me to explain to others how my recent haircut from another place just a month or two ago had specific lengths and cuts in specific areas going around my whole hair that had left my previous haircut feeling kind of "off" in certain ways and that I felt was giving my hair the very slight illusion of looking shorter than it actually really was and a little "choppy" in some areas, which then had an effect on how it framed my face/widened it instead of helping elongate it. But when I explained it to Daniel, he totally got it and even held up the individual sections that he agreed were causing those effects, why it was creating the effect that it was and how we would resolve it. I was so happy that he not only truly acknowledges and makes it important to understand where his clients are coming from (whether its concerns or goals etc) but that he also has such skill and knowledge to be able to fully do so and hit the nails right on the head. The color was also beautiful as well and because I wanted something that was healthier than permanent that would also give my hair a healthier appearance (ie shine, softness, gloss etc) he recommended the demi and also mentioned that it would make it easier down the road for me to go lighter if I ever wanted to. The color blended and matched so well with the rest of my hair and everything from the cut to the color made me feel like all of my goals were achieved. Everything Daniel did with my hair left me feeling so *Bonita*, and he was just such a joy to work with and an awesome person all around. Thank you Daniel for this lovely experience :) -------------------------------- Parking: Since the salon is in the heart of Downtown, its best to try and arrive a bit earlier than your appointment time and to be prepared for alot of one way streets and quickly turning into the available open public parking lots closeby before passing the salon (to avoid having to go further down in a circle to get back to the parking again). I believe there are 2 or 3 lots before you pull up to the salon that have big signs that say public parking. If youre driving towards the direction of the salon, out of the 3 the first one youll pass is just self-service/pay which was the one I parked in, and the other two have attendants as you pull up to the salon. Im not sure if both of those allow open access to all, so i will find out the next time I go again :) The front of the salon itself can be very easy to miss so just make sure to park before you even pass it on your GPS and youll see a small little sign over a door that says the Hideout salon when you walk up. There will be a door code for you to enter so just ask the salon for the door code in advance so that youre all set to go when you get there as well :)
