From what the staff told me, this club has been here for I believe they said 30+ years. The first thing I noticed that this was maybe one of the first clubs that was very clean and well-maintained. The crowd was a bit older, probably in their 50s and 60s, and everybody was very respectful. They served food, the drinks were fairly priced, and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The only thing I didn't really like is the smoking inside of the club. I'm not a big fan of indoor smoking let alone secondhand smoking. read more

Have been looking for a safe spot to go with my girls for 80s and 90s dancing. This place seemed promising but, saw on reviews that INDOOR SMOKING is ALLOWED! Please, could this place get current with that and just designate a place outdoors for the smokers. We would like to breathe while inside. Also if it's a spot for us grown folks, we're trying to extend our life at least have some good healthy last years without dying from nasty second hand smoke. read more

I been going since they change owner in 2018 and I love going to chayns no drama everyone is mature so yes there is a dress code which I think is great keeps the club looking nice and decent. I have met so many awesome ppl here, plus good drinks and food for a Decent price. I'm a 80s baby I love that they play music from when I was growing up bring back memories and some new music. Older crowd with a dress code to keep out the rift raf and SMOKING is allowed so for those of you who complain about that there are 99 percent clubs that do NOT allow smoking so please go there! As a lounge this place is layed out pretty well. It usually attracts the older crowd and occasionally you will see a few people in their late 20s. (Very few.) For the most part this is cougar-ville. Drinks are usually good if and only if, it's made by one of the Hispanic bartenders. Plenty of seating in the back but like most places the single men circle the dance floor or hold up the wall. (I never understood that. If you are not gonna dance, just go to a strip club fellas and stop staring that the ladies dancing.) There is no VIP area but if you want privacy, you can go to that back area to mix and mingle. The music is a great mix of your latest hip/hop mixed in with some 80s Rock and R&B. It's very nicely done. Biggest problem I have with this place is the smoke. You will surely leave here smelling like a fireman putting out an apartment fire where overalls. read more

I had a great at Chayns on a Saturday night. The music was great and the guys actually asked you to dance. The only thing is that although they play mixed music, they play more Spanish music than anything else, but if you enjoy that type of music like I do, you won't mind. read more

Chayns has been around for 37 years! In the beginning it was the place to be seen. Celebrities and Sport stars were regulars. Then slowly it hit the lows. Like a old disco queen trying to look young. It went through many different owners through the years. All trying to bring back its glory days. Then it happened, the right owners stepped in and turned it around! Great music, great drinks, great food. Fun times while your treated with respect and care. Safety for all in and out of the club. Warning this place is so popular, if you want a table on Saturday, call a week ahead to reserve it! Friday does have a few open tables. Remember when you have to reserve, it is the hot spot. Dress code is enforced. Then again who would want to get in their best, only to sit next to a slob. read more

Well. I'd say the crowd is 50's +. Dress code strictly enforced. There is one main big bar as soon as you walk in and a smaller bar in the corner with a fairly nice dance floor in b/w. Its dark inside, tired looking. Smells like a strip club. Absolutely no craft beer. Paid $8 cover and they don't even have Karbach. Wtf. Tried to order a blue mule and they had no idea what it was. I swear I was being mad dogged by the abundance of older guys. The cougars were nice though. They played a mix of music, recent hits to salsa etc. You'll leave smelling like smoke. I haven't been to Chayn's in over 10 years, so when it was suggested that a group of us go there after wine tasting I was hesitant because of my last experiences, but I will say it wasn't all that bad. Pros are there is a good size dance floor where the DJ played a wide range of music that keep the night upbeat and flowing. The restroom was spotless, saw the attendant several times checking on things. (don't even get this at my local HTown hangout). Our bartender kept the drinks lined up for our large group and was great about keeping my ice glass full. Even walked me to the restroom, not that I needed help or anything :) Valet attendant was great car was warm & ready with nothing moved like the mirror or seat. Cons are, and this is a huge one for me... smoking! I hate walking out of a place and smelling like an ash tray :( Bummer. Because of this I knocked one star off. Bottom line is there is a huge gap between the woman to men ratio here. I would say if you are in the market for a man... this is the place to come! From dated decore to stale cigarette smoke oozing out of evey nook and cranny this place defies any real definition of taste. A cover charge of 7.00 dollars keeps the riff raff out but it also seems to keep out many could be/would be regulars. The bright side is that seating is plentiful. Oh and did I mention the so called contest which take place? Yes this is where middle aged to "mature" women parade around on the worn dance floor in an attempt to earn prizes. Been going to Chayns for dancing for a while. So this is more from a point of view of a dancer. Over all good club seen bad and good reviews. Yes the bathrooms could be a little updated the club has been around for 30 yrs. The seating is fair wife and I like to sit at the railing to watch the dancing. Some good the rest and most you will have to comment yourself. It can get smokey at times (still smoke there). Drinks prices are reasonable but better if you get the drinks yourself (couple dollars cheaper than having the waitress add to it). But if you like the service not bad. Dance floor is fair to good not real big but fair. Some dancers there can be very rude and pushy esp the ones that do not know how to dance (which are many). The floor can be empty and some one will dance right beside you when the have the rSst of the dance floor. Sometimes they almost hit you or step on you. No one knows dance equiette there, for the most part anyways. The only place I know that I see single men dance on the floor by themselves (strange). There are couples there but seems like a lot of singles there on Sat. People 30 to 50 old or so. Sometimes you get 20 year olds there. You do see a lot of older men and younger women together. Ok Ladies a little bit of a meat market so beaware Music can be better. Some Hustle, a little latin (unless it is Thurs then all Latin), a lot of hip hop toward the end of the night. Some pop. You can West Coast there, until the dance floor gets to crowded then you either get off or push your way in. Cover is 7 dollars after 10pm on Sat on the rest of the days it depends. read more

I don't go out very often but was my go to place when I did. After last night I will never set foot in this place again. After having sat in my seat for about 2 1/2 hours I was approached by somebody who worked there saying that my seat was reserved. Mind you when I got there there were tons of reserve seats all around the dance floor and tables but the two seats where I was sitting had no reserve signs on them whatsoever. When I tried to explain that to the person they didn't want to hear it. They informed me those two seats were reserved for regulars that come every week. Again I tried to explain to them that there were no reserved signs on those seats and I had been sitting there already for 2 1/2 hours. But they refused to listen to me and told me I had to move. How is it my fault but somebody did not do their job and reserve the seats like they're supposed to? I should not of had to move. At this point I was so angry I went to go close out my tab to leave. No way was I staying. I had a total of three drinks. When I went to the bar to close out my tab the guy that had told me to move had followed me. Both him and the bartender informed me that my tab would be taken care of not to worry about it. They said it was the least they could do for me. I told them no I wanted to close out my tab. They again said my tab would be taken care of. So I left. I woke up this morning with a notification from my credit card that I had been charged $79 from here. So not only did they not close out my tab and take care of it as they told me they would they jacked it up! No way did three drinks cost $79!! It's been reported as fraud to my credit card company because it is. I will NEVER EVER set foot in this establishment again. And I would advise anybody not to. Because if you're not one of their beloved "regulars" they will treat you like crap. And they will add fake charges to your credit card!! read more

I have been to Chayn's a few times. My husband and I like to dance, but we are on the "mature" side, but still like to get out and shake a leg. Usually the DJ does a good job of mixing up the music from old to current songs. Recently we were there and the DJ was playing mostly current tunes and nobody was on the dance floor and club was starting to pick up. Thought it was odd that the DJ did not notice the empty dance floor song after song. So I went to request a song and was treated VERY rudely by the DJ. He said "Do I come to your place of business and tell you your job?" To top it off I walk away and glanced back at him and he flipped me off! Of course we left immediately and spoke to the manager who did apologize, but it was not the manager's apology I was interested in. Not sure if I will ever go back. read more
