Best food ever ! I've tried several German food places but nothing comes close to this.

Excellent food, quick service, lovely owners. The owners are a very sweet couple who were very friendly and made excellent suggestions. We got the curry bratwurst and the pork schnitzel with mushroom gravy over a bed of rosemary potatoes with a side of cucumber salad. The curry bratwurst was excellent and comforting food. But that schnitzel was amazing.... The mushroom gravy was one the best gravies I have ever had, literally, ever. I'm not a big meat lover but the pork was tender/delicious with a nice crispy breading. The cucumber salad was refreshing and delicious. You always know you've had a good meal when you find yourself trying to figure out how you could try to recreate it home! We don't have pictures because we ate the food too quickly! read more

I am always excited when I see that Check Point is coming to Rentsch brewery. We've visited for Oktoberfest for the past two years and food at Check Point is fantastic. We got to try this wonderful food when they were at an event in Salado! It was delicious and made fresh to order. The couple are super friendly and fun to talk to! We ordered the Doner Wrap with Feta. It was omjesus super mouthwatering, flavorful and we ended up ordering more. The sauce they use is super good. I literally made sure I licked it all up, lol. The meat was just as good too! There is nothing negative I can say about the Doner Wrap! You also know it's good when your munchkins love the flavor and steal your Doner Wrap! The other item we ordered was the potato salad. It was definitely different and not the normal salad. I really enjoyed the vinegrett flavor that I was getting from it. I'd definitely order it again! We also ordered a bratwurst for the munchkins. We kept it basic with nothing on it but ketchup since we weren't sure if they like the full works they could have had. But even with just it being plain the bratwurst was actually really good. I definitely will be back to try one of their bratwurst in brötchen. read more

This midwestern gal loves a good BPT but they are few and far between here in Central Texas. Checkpoint Germany food truck was at Rentsch Brewery in Georgetown, Tx for Oktoberfest so I decided to try their schnitzel plate. It looked like a breaded pork tenderloin so I took it home and turned it into a sandwich. It was da bomb. Good breading, not greasy, just the right thickness and seasoned perfectly. The potatoes tasted like my Oma's. Highly recommend. And recommend this be sold as a sandwich called the BPT schnitzel. It will attract and satisfy the plethora of Hoosiers and Hawkeyes longing for a taste of home. read more
