Excellent experience with Jackie Dubin at Desert Toyota! I…read morerecently purchased a 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition i-FORCE MAX from Desert Toyota. The day after I bought it, I discovered a rock chip in the windshield. I went back to my salesman, Devin Padgett, to see if Desert Toyota could help since I had just purchased the truck. Devin brought service advisor Jackie Dubin over to look at it. Jackie immediately assessed the damage and told Devin to get approval from his manager to replace the windshield. The approval was given, and Jackie handled the appointment from there. When I brought the truck in, Jackie took my contact information and told me it would take about three hours. The service department was incredibly busy--there were 20+ vehicles waiting--yet Jackie managed everything extremely well. She even gave me a complimentary breakfast coupon while I waited in their large, comfortable lounge. The truck was taken into the repair area, the windshield was replaced, and the necessary calibration was completed. The entire job was finished in less than the three hours Jackie had estimated, and everything has worked perfectly ever since. What impressed me most was that Jackie was straightforward, professional, communicated well, and delivered exactly what she promised--and actually a little faster than promised. I've only dealt with Jackie a couple of times so far, but based on this experience, she will be the service advisor I ask for when my Tundra needs service in the future. I really appreciate good service, especially when I'm spending my hard-earned money. Jackie earned my trust with this experience. Thank you, Jackie, Devin and Desert Toyota Service!

On March 18th, I went to Speedway Pep Boys to get an estimate on the air conditioner ("ac") repair…read morefor my Dodge Durango. I explained to the Intake Writer that my ac compressor was not cycling properly and requested ac repair estimate. A short while later, about 9:45 am, the Intake Writer explained that the mechanic found that the ONLY AC PROBLEM involved a leaky low pressure line with its removal and replacement repair costing a bit higher than $800.00 with repairs complete by 3:00 pm. I advised the labor estimate for the low pressure line R&R was a bit high since the line ran across the top of the engine compartment. A few minutes later, the Intake Writer agreed the cost was too high and he reduced the estimate by $100.00. He advised he would also apply a military discount reducing costs farther Around 4:00 pm, the Intake Writer informed me that the Durango repair was not complete because the ac compressor was not cycling and, of course, the Durango needed a new ac. As I would not have agreed to the very expensive replacement of both the low pressure line and replacement of the ac THAT DAY; and I likely would have completed the repairs myself, now 90 minutes past the expected repair completion, understandably I felt both angry, misled, and, frankly, cheated to have an +$800.00 bill without a completed, correct repair . . . some 90 minutes after the job was to be completed. So, I found myself in an argument over labor costs with the mechanic, who was patronizing, demeaning, exceptionally rude, and argumentative and with the assistant manager over the misleading charges . . . considering initially, I had asked for the estimate of the ac replacement in the first instance at 9:20 am. Besides threatening and actually calling Tucson Police, who refused to respond, it took nearly 50 minutes to reach a minor accomodation for failing to both provide the requested estimate and failing to timely repair my ac problem. When my vehicle was returned after paying +$500.00 for the FAILED REPAIR, I found my undercarriage shield was improperly reinstalled causing my front right tire to collide with the buckled undercarriage shield; my right side doors had been been "keyed" and damaged; and attaching bolts for battery tray not properly installed among issues. Oh yes, the more expensive repair, the high pressure line, was actually removed and replaced . . . yes, unexpectedly costing more money than estimated. I requested a callback from Pep Boys" store manager, Karly Kinner, via the assistant manager and the Pep Boys call center. I have yet to receive any response now 7 days (one week) later. RJM On March 25th, after my initial Yep post, I received a callback from Manager Karly Kinner. Good call. Karly verbally responded well to my concerns, though the situation concerning vehicle repair not changed. I am repairing the undercarriage shield that Pep Boys improperly reinstalled. That necessary repair prevents damage to my vehicle's front, right tire. RJM

Do not recommend. Your stuff will be stolen here. My trunk contained a ping pong table, two sleeves…read moreof diapers, and Easter gifts my kids received from relatives. I also had toys from my backseat missing and diabetic supplies. Surprised my daughters car seat was still there. Update as of July 2026: I have been in contact with both corporate and management from this location. Management reviewed security footage and confirmed my vehicle was left outside overnight. There are no signs of forced entry, so the vehicle was either left unlocked in a parking lot overnight or an employee was responsible for the theft. This was all relayed to corporate and I was eventually told they are not liable for theft. So if you choose to have your car serviced here, anything left inside is free game.
