We haven't stopped by as often as we used to. However, in the DMV area, this is one of my preferred fast food restaurants. The french fries are excellent. My favorite milkshake flavor is banana. They don't always carry it. I really liked the dollar menu, which has been taken off the menu board. Hubby likes the burgers. The to-go entrance is narrow and small. I prefer walking up to the window. There is a small parking lot and tables. read more

Came last night. Was hungry and this was the closet "drive thru" available @ 830p I ordered a classic mother cruncher combo I must still have COVID because I could not taste the burger. It was so bland. The Fries must've been old. Tasted like they were doused in old oil and bland. Medium Root Beer was actually pretty large! Good Caramel Sundae. This was my first visit at this location and I must say the food could have been way better. I ordered a checker burger without cheese, and the ended up putting cheese on my sandwich anyways. I ordered a chili dog with grilled onions and the chili was some of the worst tasting fast food chili I have ever had. The best part about my visit was the strawberry shake and fries. The customer service as was decent, and the wait time to get my food was not long. The restaurant also looked decently cleaned and workers are wearing masks. Overall, it was okay if your looking for a cheap lunch or meal, but stick to the hamburgers and fries here. read more

The food is always cold, the burgers and chicken are cooked too hard. They are not edible. This has happened 3 times . No more for me .

The food is amazingly delicious. 10/10 but some of the employees that they have working there are rude and disrespectful. And I'm referring to the managers and assistant manager name Kenia. Last night I went to order food and she was very disrespectful. Didn't even acknowledged me when I was waiting at the to go window. Then she had a nasty face and had her back turned when she took my order and then she snatched my money. I've had issues with the other Spanish manager, that is now at this location (Queens Chapel) as well with the location in (Greenbelt) for example, they don't know how to count on giving people their exact change back, and they messed up a few times on my past orders. And when I asked for my receipt, they literally tell me all the time that the machine is broken but somehow everyone else gets their receipt. I don't know if they're being racist towards me or what but I love checkers and I've been eating checkers since I was a kid, but these two women, I would assume that our managers or assistant managers should not be working in fast food industries. I can't remember what the other managers name is but I've seen her at the Greenbelt location mostly. But overall the food is fantastic. read more

I drive all the way from Richmond to eat here. I hate being rushed to take my order and I hate asking for cheese and getting it. But overall.. I come for the fries and funnel cake fries. I normally don't go to checkers unless I need a quick meal and I'm on a budget but today I went to checkers and I experienced bad customer service. The young lady that took my order didn't really seem like she wanted to be there I asked her how her day was once and she just look me in the eye with a mug and didn't respond so I asked it again and still didn't say anything I gave her my card she charged me gave it back and then close the door that was very unprofessional and it kind of ruin my experience. The gentleman that handed me my food on the other hand seem very enthusiastic. I told him have a wonderful day and I appreciate the service he said that really means a lot and gave me my food. Been here twice. Both times horrible experience. First time, the employee was unfriendly and wasn't helpful. Second time, I was overcharged for extra toppings which I never got. The receipt was a generic receipt, without the actual store address and no itemized billing. I called to complain but I never heard back from the upper management. This checkers is super friggin obnoxious. The management or district manager has every poor employee attempt to upsell fried onions. After your order is placed they try to sell you an Apple pie. very unprofessional establishment , I stopped past on my way home and it took over 30 minutes to get my food . very super long lines . and I couldn't for the life of me understand why are all the employees BUT TWO outside smoking cigarettes and not servicing us(the guest) . I am giving these guys 5 stars because of the way they treat their customers, and the way they treated me. We ordered food through the drive thru, and when we arrived home we discovered that the bag was missing 2 hot dogs. I called Checkers and spoke to Mike who apologized and asked if I was able to come back so that he could fix the mistake. I went right on back and he took care of the missing hot dogs without blinking. Mike was very cool and easy to talk to, and I appreciated it. I've been a big fan of their chili dogs and French fries for years. This time around though, we ordered the regular grilled hot dogs, and they were darn right delicious! Eh it's a Checker's so don't expect anything fancy and if this is the only food option try to burn off as many calories as you can the next day at the gym. I just went thru the drive thru ordered two big Buford's and two drinks. I didn't receive a receipt nor my fries. When I asked the attending girl she just shrugged her shoulders and said I didn't ask for a meal. When I get to eating one of the big Buford's it didn't have no toppings whatsoever. Drier then sand Buford if you ask me. Then the drinks I ordered were a fanta strawberry and Coca Cola. Obviously who could get Coca Cola wrong? No one, but the Fanta strawberry given was actually Fanta orange. Please get new manager or employees at this location. I've been to other checkers locations and the attending employees greet in such a professional matter that you forget about its surroundings. Unfortunately this location has trash service and the employees just didn't care. Big Buford was not asked for plain and if I wanted an orange Fanta I would've asked for it not the strawberry I originally ordered.
