We ordered a family meal because my brother-in law was over with his fiance. Unfortunately, the family meal was much smaller than we anticipated. I'm talking pretty tiny where I would consider the sides to be for only two people. Likely, won't be back as of the little food we had nothing was very notable for cause to return. Future pass for me and I'd suggest for you too.

If you haven't been to H& chicken just go now! I've had my eye on this place for a while, and I finally picked up a to go order. This is not your drive through chicken spot. Some stuff is going to take some time and with good reason. The Mac and cheese is probably as close to homemade as you're going to get for it not to be actually made at home. The chicken batter is actually seasoned, so it's not bland chicken. And the skin is nice and crispy crunchy, but the chicken is still juicy. The waffle with the chicken and waffle was so good too! I think I'm going to pick up some more after writing this review! Check it out!

One thing you can count on is that Instagram will definitely hype a place up. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but now the way IG hyped it. I ordered the 15 piece combo with a side of mac and cheese and greens. Added the whiting as well. The chicken isn't made to order and sits out like Popeyes so don't expect it to be fresh and piping hot. It was still decent. Reminded me of Royal Farms. The greens with delicious along with the mac and cheese. I also ordered the 2 piece whiting. It is not on the menu inside however it is available to order on Uber eats. You get two regular pieces of fish. Nothing special. The H sauce is good. Reminds me of a darker chick fil a sauce. The mumbo sauce is tangy but decent nonetheless. Service was good as the woman at the counter was very friendly and moved fast. Offered suggestions and advise me to get the strawberry cheesecake which was hard. Overall it's a decent spot. Nothing amazing but decent.

And to make matters worse, the chicken was under cooked

The service is horrible. walked in and was not greeted. Stood at the counter for a full 5 minutes while the employees where working. They never acknowledged us, never said a word. I looked behind me to see a digital kiosk where I should place my order. A group of Hispanics came in and place an order with the employees that had not acknowledged us. We talked to the manager (Mohamed - which is not his name but the name he gave. I asked for his last name, he stated he did not have a last name). He gave a nonchalant attitude. I will never patronize this place again. Based solely on the service.

Cooked well and to perfection. Crispy skin and the chicken is fresh meat; wings are not pumped up and real.

Somehow, I had only been to this place during the winter time, but it is a completely different vibe during the warmer months. The outdoor space is stunning, and everything just feels brighter and happier. The staff are really nice, the patrons are enjoying themselves, and they just have excellent food. My friend and I happen to come during this fashion show event so there were complimentary hors d'oeuvres for everybody present, but we still ordered delicious deviled eggs (I could've eaten a whole tray of them) and had some great cocktails. You know, for the first time ever, I paid attention to a bunch of board games that they have on a shelf. But based on the stuff that's on the shelf in front of them, I am not 100% sure that they are up for grabs, but it still looks cool. Anyone who is in this area should definitely pay them a visit. You won't regret it.

My friend and I showed up for a late lunch, and after I stood waiting for service for almost five minutes, the bartender finally came closer to me and said the kitchen was closed. She had been looking at me the entire time and didn't say anything or try to signal to me, so I found her behavior pretty rude. Also, I had previously visited this restaurant for happy hour and found the food and service to be average.

After taking our orders, the wrong appetizer came out, and we didn't see him again for 40 minutes. The food runner got us settled with the correct food, and it was good! The manager and other servers had to come refill our drinks. He never asked about his mistake, or how our food was, or if we wanted to try a different drink. I also had to wait an additional 12 minutes for sauce for my entree. For a 90-minute limit on seating, I would hope that servers would check in periodically and avoid mistakes that waste time. We had the lobster and crab dip, catfish and grits, and salmon with Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The catfish and grits and the dip were both amazing! The salmon and sides were just okay. I would return, but I'd probably sit at the bar for better service.

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The menu has shrunk significantly and what's left doesn't justify the price point. $20 for deviled eggs? And nearly everything is paired with grits, which is interesting for a restaurant billing itself as African and Asian fusion. I brought a Nigerian friend along and we were both equally confused by that creative direction. Safe to say grits aren't exactly a staple. We were told about off-menu options tomahawk, ribeye (out of stock), and branzino. We went with the branzino and a potato hash that turned out to be exactly what it sounds like: cut up potatoes and what tasted like powdered eggs straight from a hotel breakfast buffet. The branzino needed salt, pepper AND hot sauce to get there, that's not a seasoning preference.. The ambience and decor remain the highlight genuinely a beautiful space. But a pretty room can only carry so much. I wanted to love this place. I really did. But I don't think a third visit is in the cards.
