Recently went to them to check out my car and my wife's car. They said the wife's car was perfect and didn't need anything. But my car needed a major tune up. Good thing I went to them because I might have been stranded somewhere this winter if I didn't get some of the stuff fixed. My tire was leaking air and I went to an independent auto shop by the NAPA store in Zion on Sheridan. The gentleman told me to go one block south to Checkpoint Automotive. I met the owner, a young man who had just purchased the store. He found a nail in my tire, repaired and sealed the tire and I was on my way in less than 12 minutes. I recommend this place to anyone who has automotive needs. And, they also sell tires. read more

These guys are the best. First off, they completely describe what is needed,what they are going to do and follow thru. I went to this shop with my daughter-in-law to get the brakes on her car repaired. The young man who owns the shop was very courteous and explained exactly what she needed to have done. Here is the best part: he didn't try to sell her something she didn't need. If he would have told her that the rotors on the brakes needed turned I wouldn't have batted an eye -- but he didn't -- he said they were in great shape. Took my car in to get my rear brakes replaced and Shahvaz did a wonderful job and provided great customer service. I was hesitant not taking my car to the dealership but so far so good! They got the dealership parts from the dealership which he showed me along with the paperwork so I know it was authentic. He didn't charge me an arm and a leg and didn't recommend services I didn't need!
