Great service and food! Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and the food was all great. We were very happy with our experience!

Since Cheddars has brought back the Onion Rings and Beer Battered Shrimp we've been going every week. It's apparent that the management doesn't bother to show up at the restaurant very often. They need to check in occasionally and see what's going on. Only 2 of our last six visits did we see a host or hostess at the front desk. Too much going on to take care of the customers. read more

The staff and management at this particular Cheddar's location deserve to be praised. While traveling, a bag containing my driver's license and some credit cards accidentally fell out of my purse. I didn't discover this until we were to our destination in Florida. Two weeks later I realized that I may have lost these things at Cheddars when we stopped for lunch. I called and to my amazement that's where I lost them and they were STILL there! The management had kept them locked in their safe all that time. And they even went so far as to mail them back to my home address, paying for postage and going to the trouble of putting them in a secure mailer and taking them to the post office. This is going above and beyond! I was so grateful and just amazed at their kindness and willingness to safeguard my license and credit cards, hoping that eventually the owner (me) would figure it out and call! Was highly dissapointed in the quality of food at this establishment. Cheddars usually is a decent place when you want something safe. But this store wasn't the case. The food was of poor quality, I don't want to say bad because I've had worse. But it was below average for sure. This was our first and probably our only time we will visit this place. read more

My family went to this Cheddars as we've ate at other locations and it's always been good. This is experience was completely different. The service and food (mainly the pasta) were both horrendous. To start, when we received our food they had completly forgotten to bring our salads we had ordered so they didn't arrive until after we bought it up to our waiter. We ordered 3 meals which I'll be reviewing below: 1. New Orleans pasta - Let's just say the menu is way over selling this dish. There was basically just chicken and noodles and shrimp with absolutely no sausage or peppers. When we brought this up to the "manager" (who does not belong in anything relating to customer service) she said it's a prepackaged dish and offered to take it back to the kitchen and reprepare it, which she did. When it came back there was precisely 1 sausage in it that wasn't even cooked. At this point the manager was ignoring us and we had lost all hope in getting decent food so we dealt with it. 2. Bbq chicken sandwich - This didn't have any bbq sauce on it out of the kitchen. When we let our waiter know he brought some sauce from the kitchen. Fine. 3. Coconut shrimp - No complaints here. 4. Crousissants - Great! To add to the terrible food experience, the bathrooms didn't have soap or paper towel. The only saving grace is that they comped our meal but the lady manager was extremely short with us when bringing back the pasta and I guarantee we will never step foot in that location again. read more

On December 22nd at approximately 6pm me and my daughter visited the murfreesboro tn location of cheddar. The overall experience was extremely poor and I will not go back again after dining there since it opened. Everything we ordered was incorrect or not even received. We ordered spinach dip which we never got...I ordered the chicken fried chicken with the gravy on the side..the gravy was on the chicken..my daughter ordered the chicken ceaser pasta salad..not a single piece of pasta was represented. Our server Taylor double checked our ticket and it was entered properly..so no error on his part. Here's the problem..several actually..the restaurant was pretty much empty...so a rush or an abundance of orders cannot be the excuse. The manager Mike did not even make an appearance at our table.. he simply told our server that they removed my food from the ticket due to me sending it back untouched..that is very poor actual nonexistent customer service. It sends a terrible message to the patrons whom keep the restaurant open. The kitchen staff.. dropped the ball all the way..off a cliff seeing as the order was wrong in its entirety and the place was empty. Had been looking forward to a solid dinner after a long day of traveling. I would not recommend this place. New Orleans Style pasta- had a bit of spice which was decent but lacked sausage, shrimp looked like it was squeezed in someone's hand before being put on a plate and the pasta wasn't rock hard but it sure was close. Baked potato was rock hard. If you ask for extra sour cream and cheese make sure you ask more than once. The only good thing about it was the water. The food was decent not great. The green beans undercooked. The temperature in the restaurant was cold, everyone was wearing their jackets. I had taken mine off but it was so cold that I had to put it back on. The worst part was that there was no running water at the sinks in the women's bathroom. A clear health code violation. I had a very good meal at a very reasonable price and will be back for more. A lot of comfort food and standards are served here. The customer service was polite and friendly. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. I know they are a chain but they do a great job of training and maintaining quality standards. We have had multiple good experiences at cheddars but tonight was the absolute worst. My family and I went , the restaurant is empty. Went here yesterday evening Sat. 8/10/19 with the family for a PM brunch and it was a bad choice... This place was really sad :^( Point outs - 1. The food is not of good quality. 2. Service was no good. 3. Place not that clean. I have been to these establishments in other areas and they have way better quality than this one! I will never return to THIS restaurant. A most disappointing meal at Cheddars. We were happy to wait 30 minutes for a table as they were doing a steady business. But it was all down hill from there. Our waiter Jay M. Was rude and surly at best. When we asked if there was a larger menu than the paper placemat we were given. He gave us a rude response asking "what did we expect during covid" ...really? Then afterwards he takes the paper ... uhh thought germs were a problem. Someone else dropped off our food. We sat for almost 10 minutes with no condiments or coffee refills. Overall he ruined our first lunch out since covid started and we will never be spending our money at cheddars again. I absolutely enjoyed my food! We were seated promptly. My server was very attentive and had a great personality. Started off with the spinach dip, for an appetizer. It was delicious!!! Didn't get to enjoy it to long bc my fajitas quesadilla, came shortly after. I tried a new dipping sauce "honey lime sauce". It put me in the mind of a tangy honey mustard. Horrible absolutely horrible! The place was filthy and the staff were sitting around doing nothing! Someone dropped a ramekin full of ketchup right in front of us and it got all over the side of one of my shoes! NOBODY picked it up or apologized and at least 3 people saw it and just stared and eventually walked away! I HAD TO PICK IT UP! The service was poor as was the food. We have to remind the server several times to bring us silverware and water. When food arrived it was cold and upset our stomach. Great! I can't explain how good it was. I got the pecan salad and it was phenomenal! There are these tablets that children can play games on and you can look at the menu on the tablet to! Cheddars has always had wonderful food but I do admit it has been a while since we have been in. We ate there today and was so disappointed. The waiter was terrible, the food was worse. The green beans were raw, the mashed potatoes full of hard lumps with an offputting taste and the red beans are rice way oversalted. It was so cold I ordered coffee and had to request it a second time. Finally received it after 15 minutes and it was not hot. Originally only had 1 other table sat in the area we were in. The waiter never asked if we needed drink refills, if we needed anything else or how our food was. We had to flag him down to get our ticket. We were dining at 3PM in afternoon. Certainly not a rush hour time. This will be our last trip to this restaurant. read more

I find it hard to believe that as much as I've eaten here, I haven't left a review yet! This is a great place to take the family for a nice meal that won't break the bank. My first experience with Cheddars was at a location in Des Moines, and thought to myself that I sure wish we had one here. A couple of years later, they razed (thank goodness) the Ryan's that sat at this location and built the Cheddars. Yay! There's a great selection of items on their menu to choose from to suit almost any taste. Their appetizers are great (awesome nachos) and although all of the entrees are good, there are a couple that really stand out. New Orleans Pasta - One of my favorites! This has chicken, sausage and shrimp in penne pasta with a delicious sauce that has the slightest hint of heat. It's very filling and my go-to when I'm being indecisive since I know it will be awesome every time. Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms - This one is so good, that it's hard to believe that it comes from a chain restaurant. If you want something different, go for this! None of the individual flavors overpower the entire dish, and they meld together perfectly. Shepherd's Pie - This is not the bland pile of slop you're expecting! Lots of meat and veggies in a thick, hearty broth (dare I call it a stew?) topped with some of the best mashed potatoes ever. There's so many awesome dishes that I could go on and on, but another couple of standouts are the Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad, Chicken Pot Pie and Country Fried Steak. As for the sides, they have some amazing broccoli rice casserole and their red beans and rice are so good, I could make a meal just off of those! Apart from the food, service is always great and you never have to wait long for a table. They also have take out, so sometimes I like to call my order in and then just pick it up at the bar. I have noticed that the portions seem to be larger when you dine in than when you get take out, but there's still lots to eat. Sad to see a lot of these reviewers leave such negative reviews... I try to eat local as often as possible, but I love Cheddars. I ate here (in an East Tennessee location) for the first time last year on Mother's Day. Since then I've been a handful of times and have never had a bad experience or meal. My very first visit, I paid for my husband, my sister, my mom, and myself. We all got lunch entrees and I got a frozen adult drink with a sidecar shooter. I don't remember the name of it as it has been over a year ago and I don't normally order those kinds of drinks with my meal. I do remember it being really yummy and I also remember being the only person in our dining area to be drinking a mixed drink at 11am. Ha! I got the grilled fish tacos and they were good, but nothing out of this world. The one thing that shocked me was our check... For 4 of us, alcohol included, my bill was $41. I really thought something must have been left off but everything was there. We all left full and I spent under $50 for a table of 4. Wow! Fast forward to this particular location. We moved to Middle Tn at the beginning of the year. Before we had unpacked all of our kitchen cookware, we ordered to-go from this location 3 times within the first week. Ridiculous, but true. I order the same thing every time I eat here now. Lunch portion bourbon glazed salmon with rice (included), steamed broccoli, and a side salad with honey mustard & THE BEST CROISSANT EVER MADE. I love everything about this meal. The salmon is always delicious and pairs well with the rice & broccoli. The salad is always fresh and the dressing tastes as if they make it in house. I can't say enough good things about those darn croissants so I really just don't even want to go any further into it because I'll want to go get one when I finish this review. I always recommend cheddars to everyone I talk to that has never been there. I love their honey butter croissants, chicken tenders, baked spasagna, and hot fudge cake sundae. Their Texas sweet tea is pretty good, too. Our server recommended it to us on Saturday, and the drink was so big, I couldn't even finish it. You can't even taste the alcohol in it. Tastes just like sweet tea. Also, food is very inexpensive. You get such a great portion for the price. read more

I really leave this place extremely full and very satisfied. We arrived late afternoon today and surprisingly it was pretty busy and I thought the lunch rush was gone and over with. It wasn't a bad wait, though. I'm a sucker for their mango tea, just perfectly sweet and a fresh slice of orange to compliment it. We started off with the queso that also comes with salsa, very yummy queso. My boyfriend got the fried catfish and it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. He also go the house salad that comes with a yummy honey butter croissant. I get the chicken and shrimp key west, comes with a yummy sweet save that you pour over chicken that's topped with shrimp and pico. Service is always good here, nothing extreme but they're definitely there to serve you, see if you want anything else a couple of times, and get you going. My family and I were dining at this establishment. My husband found multiple hair in his food! A waiter (not our own) was kind enough to take the food the food back to the kitchen and reorder. We had to ask for the manager and she did not apologize. She told us that the general manager would talk to us when he got out of the kitchen. Well, we waited 15 minutes (still sitting here) for him. Will update if/when we speak with him. Ridiculous! At least someone should say the words "I am sorry"! UPDATE: We just hot told that he is hiding in the office so he does not have to speak about the health concern of the hair. UPDATE: The GM finally came out (30 minutes later) just to blame his floor managers for not "handling the situation". We told him how they can improve on their customer service and leadership. I love Cheddars and I enjoy coming to this location. The service is usually wonderful and I never experienced a problem. However, recently I had an issue with my service. On the menu they offer grilled, blackened, and bourbon glazed options of salmon. I had asked my server for the blackened salmon, but when it came to the table it looked plain and a little brown. I asked my server if I had received the bourbon glazed by mistake, she looked at me blankly and gave a strange look and told me she could bring me some glaze. I told her no I was just asking what type of salmon I got, she answered rudely with grilled, rolled her eyes and walked off. I was left confused and I unsatisfied. I specifically asked for the blackened salmon because of the flavor, but instead I got a bland piece of salmon. She did not come back to the table until she noticed my boyfriend and I were finished eating. He had been out of his drink since towards the beginning of our meal. When she came back she dropped the check and my boyfriend asked for a refill. She came back without the drink but with the check again. He asked again for to-go drink this time. We waited 10 minutes before just leaving. I Was completely surprised with the service. So last night I tried Chedders curb side pick up . I ordered a smokehouse burger ... no lettuce or tomato.. fries... chips and salsa appetizer and a sweet tea. I was notified it would be ready at 6:40 . I arrived at 6:35 and at 6:43 my food was brought out . So they are pretty good on be timely ! A lot better than other places I have been . I got my food and drove home ( about 6 miles ). When I got home and I unbagged my order I have to see they packed everything very well . And when I sat down to eat I was very happy that my food was still warm and tasted fresh and was made 100% the way I wanted ! So if your wanting to go curbside I would recommend Chedders to you ! Sat at the bar for almost 10 min until someone came to ask me if I wanted to place an order or pick up. Waiters just walked right passed me and say someone will be right there. Take your money down the road to Miller's Ale House. I've worked in several restaurants over time. I know it's not the most exciting job but life is what you make of it right? We sat down and the server could give two s**ts about us. No idea what beers where on draft (told me to look on the menu, there's only 3 btw I went to the bar to check myself) When asked how the burger was they promptly informed us they don't eat red meat. That's cool but maybe say,"it's very popular!" Or "everyone loves it!" Or anything that someone with a pulse would say. Then we said okayyy, how's the potato soup? Dining on a budget? Cheddars is definitely the place to go for that. The food is good and the portions are well worth the price. Now as it is a chain things vary from place to place but as a brand they seem to keep all their restaurants in the same order. The staff has always been professional at any location I've been to and even with large groups we've always been well tended to. The food is not the best thing out there but for the price you can't beat it. So far my top 3 favorite dishes have been: Cornmeal Fried Catfish. The crisp on it is great and not overcooked, probably one of the best batters in my opinion. Country Fried Steak, again the batter just does it for me as it is crunchy and they cook it so well. Lastly their Grilled Salmon is one of the best prices out there and it is real tasty. It is the kind of place we frequent at least once a month and due to good experiences will continue to do so. read more
