I dined here with family after church recently. They quoted us an hour and a half wait for a table of 8 but it only took about 30 or 40 mins for us to get a table. The service was ok, not bad. The complimentary croissants were amazing and I ate far too many of them. I had to stop myself from taking some to go. They were fresh out of the oven and super soft but a tad bit flaky with delicious melted honey butter. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I had the salmon plate and the salmon was very flavorful with a nice well seasoned crisp around it. The broccoli was steamed but still crispy, perfect. My house salad was also great. They had my fave kind of ranch dressing. Others had chicken alfredo, blackened fish, spasagna (a spaghetti/lasagna combo) and I believe one of the kiddos had buttered noodles as part of his kids plate. There were a few minor complaints about things I don't even remember but overall everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My dad raved about their fish, his go-to dish whenever he's at Cheddar's. Although my salmon was pretty perfect, I had slight plate envy of my Dad's fish. I also tried a bit of his green beans and they were really good. I'll definitely be getting those next time. A usual spot for the fam, I'm sure I'll be back and I look forward to returning. read more

We love coming to cheddars ! It is unfortunately a hit or miss when it comes to service and food preparation times but they are extremely busy, so we try to be understanding. I recommend coming during lunch for best service. My family loves getting the steaks and salads and 8/10 times it's great ! read more

Here for my daughter's birthday, Forst time on a Friday at 6:00 pm. Noisy, very noisy! Screeching kids and loud conversation! We ordered our drinks and the waitress brought us the honey butter croissants! they were very tasty! We ordered shortly thereafter; meatloaf with carrots and green beans, chicken (three different styles, and a mix of vegetables) and chicken pot pie. We had water , Dr Pepper, and ice tea for beverages. Our meals were delivered after a bit of a wait, but not too bad. The food was delicious, plentiful, and hot. We actually needed three doggy boxes! This place is definitely ran to the ground, I don't recommend anyone go there please save your money and go elsewhere PLEASE. We ate here tonight and it was so good! We ordered spinach dip,shrimp alfredo pasta and Cajun pasta..all the food was great! Our waitress was awesome. They were low in staff and we ate at a booth in the bar area. She was working both the bar and booths. I did not get her name but I hope manager sees this and she is recognized because she was going around making sure both bar and booth patrons had what they needed and she was very nice and helpful with the food suggestions. read more

Ask for the waitress named Cookie!! She is very sweet, pun intended . She takes her time, gives food recommendations, and keeps your drinks filled. Also, the manager is very interested in checking in with all customers. He is very caring of his staff and works along side with them. What a great model of work expectations he shows everyone. Cheddars is usually our first choice to eat out on Sunday's solemnly because of its delicious food. We have never had any issues with the food or deserts. The only problem we usually come across is the long wait time. It is understandable though because of the large number of people that come from out of town due to its high demand of work. Odessa gets pretty crowded in all restaurants when it's booming not just Cheddar's. That's why I will still give it 5 stars because unlike other reviews I read we understand that. Can they do a better job at cutting wait time?, quite possibly, but like I said before it's understandable. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a nice place to eat with delicious food. I'm quite dissatisfied.. this is the second time Cheddar's has made my stomach so sick I threw up and all I ate was the chips and queso, (they had run out of their homemade chips so they used some other type of chips??) corn off the cob, lemonade, and french fries. The first time I got sick I just blamed it on a stomach bug but now I see that is not the case. In Cheddar's defense though, the corn off the cob is to die for. When we arrived, our server forgot to bring us bread, silverware, and delivered the wrong drink. The food was terrible. Service was lacking. They were out of everything we tried to order and had to change our minds three times. The server even started suggesting other restaurants to us. We ordered the creamy spinach dip as an appetizer and what we got was spinach with a little bit of cheese on it. They got our streaks wrong and different sizes cooked incorrectly. My wife's was a 8 oz well done and mine was 6 oz medium and they reversed it. The server then took the medium rare steak to the back and brought us back the same steak just cooked longer to be well done. By far the worst experience we have had. I should have read reviews first... restaurant was hot (AC not on or working), had a less than clean feel (maybe because of the temperature)... sat at the bar, said hello to the tender, tender proceeded to carry on a several minute chat with another associate... they had what appeared to be a fun time laughing and carrying on while sat waiting for so much as a glass of water... then they both left... This place is a very good and highly interesting place. I have to say that when I stepped inside, I did not imagine that this would be the style and layout of the place, it is well thought and sought into. I love the design of the ceiling fans, the bar area is also neat. The waiting staff is more than enough to handle the place, which is rare to see in Odessa, most places are understaffed. The waiters here are nice and have good customer service. Food is excellent, I have been here three times now, and I am most definitely returning for more.
