Love this place. I've been there dozens of times now since they opened in SLW, for both lunch and dinner. Food is always very good, as is the service. If I have any complaint, it's that they discontinued the Black Bean side dish, and on the last two visits the broccoli was really overcooked. But this is a great place to eat, and you definitely won't leave hungry. It's usually packed, but the wait time is short and well worth it. This is one of those places where the manager always visits every table, so if you're not happy about anything, I'm sure they would fix it. read more

The same Cheddars quality you expect from time to time. I was skeptical at first due to only being open a month, but decided to try anyways. Started the evening off with one of the best Spinach Dips around. Next plate consisted of the Cheddars Club, perfect as every club should be. Piled high between toasted bread a perfect creation. Ended the evening with the Cookie Monster, a delicious fresh baked cookie smothered in ice cream and chocolate sauce. Don't let the disclaimer on the menu about the wait time turn you off, only took about 10 minutes to receive from the time of order. All in all excellent service and food. read more

I have been to cheddars in 3 states by far the worst will not be back. Poor service, received appetizer after our meal.

This restaurant has no happy hour ever. Bad house margarita, which is still around $7 and very light pour on wine (about 1/3 of a small glass). Bartender very rude. When I asked for my bill he "pushed" the brandy snifter glass towards me & didn't say a word. Problem is I had already seen the bill, HE hadn't updated the food portion. Food was ok but not a good experience. PSL & Tradition have a lot of new wonderful restaurants. Skip Cheddars and go there instead. read more

The first time I tried a Cheddars, I was in Orlando. It was amazing. When we got one in Psl i was so excited! My first time going after their grand opening, it was great. Service and food were fantastic, we returned for a quick lunch one day and it was horrible. We had to return food, missing ingredients, also had to ask a different server because ours was no where to be found. I'm not sure if i will return to this location. The food is amazing prices even better we can feed a family of four for under $80 and that is including two appetizers this service is iffy sometimes but if you have a preferred waitress you can ask for her. Me and Smitty came here a few days ago a little after 3 p.m. I ordered the New Orleans pasta and he ordered the Key West chicken and shrimp with mac and cheese and broccoli casserole. My pasta was just okay. The sauce could have afforded to be slightly thicker and I didn't really taste any New Orleans flavors. His food was definitely better than mine. The broccoli casserole was delicious as always, but the mac and cheese was watery and Bland. The chicken, shrimp, and rice was a nice bite. The best part of my meal was the raspberry tea. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was nice enough. I can't say I am looking forward to another trip here, but it is possible that I will return someday. read more

Such a bummer! I usually LOVE cheddars. Probably my favorite chain restaurant. Sadly this location is no good. The service and quality of food. My waitress started okay but then another girl brought out my food and I didn't see the original waitress until it was time to pay the bill, which I was stuck waiting for for about 10-15 minutes after I was done. We started out with the ultimate nachos which were great!! I would suggest giving more sour cream and pico because the amount were were given was very small and only enough for about half the nachos on the plate. Overall- still good. Painkiller drink was just ok. I had the chicken caesar pasta which is what I get at every cheddars I've ever been to, it's my favorite, and this time it was SO bad. Barely any dressing, dry noodles, wilted and brown lettuce, stale croutons, and a WAY undercooked croissant. All of it was bad. My boyfriend got steak which was really tough and barely edible. He got a baked potato instead of mashed potatoes, which is what he had asked for. The waitress never stopped by to check on us so he just ate it instead of waiting. Just an overall bad trip. Update from my original review. Customer service did contact me and sent me 4 "cheddar checks." These were good for up to $10 worth of drinks or food. They look like real checks, with a date and you have to endorse them. Not sure who thought this was a good idea over a gift certificate, but whatever. I was out that way today and decided to use a Cheddar buck and give the place a second chance. I was seated in a good spot. The first waitress seemed good but apparently she felt she needed a break and another waitress finished up with me. I thought that switch was poor form. The food was not flavorful. I could blame a minor cold on my inability to taste. I ordered the top sirloin, fried shrimp, mac n cheese and broccoli casserole. I also had the key lime mini and that was very good. So, then the check came. I used a buck, plus put cash with it and pointed it out to the waitress. That is where the problem began. The waitress, for an inexplicable reason, decided the date on the check was an expiration date, dated June 1. I explained the word "expiration" was no where on the buck. I even showed her the letter in which the bucks were enclosed. All she said was, "I have to check with my manager. I'm only trying to help you." Whoa. Help me? And said with a nasty little attitude. Why would I need help? Bottom line: for mediocre food and poor service, even a discount isn't enough to tempt me back. I am trashing the other 3 checks. When the staff isn't trained to deal with them, and are rude to customers, forget it. read more

My 3rd and last visit, ordered chicken tortilla soup and half a club sandwich, husband had ultimate nachos. We ordered the cheese curds ap. First we were seated next to a family with small children squealing and we are older so this was not fun and there was plenty of seating available. We chose not to hurt the families feelings by asking to be moved. The service was very slow. My soup was served with the appetizer so I chose to forgo the ap so I could still have warm soup. The soup was so over salted I only ate about half of it and decided to wait on the half club, when it finally arrived it was a half sandwich on two pieces of toast not 3 like a club is supposed to be and the cold cuts were the cheap slimy disgusting kind rendering it inedible. My husband's nachos were no better, greasy ground beef soaked the restaurant made tortilla chips it even looked disgusting. My husband said the cheese curds were nothing but over cooked Mozzarella that was rubbery. First time here. Staff was very courteous. Establishment including bathrooms are clean. Service was A+. I ordered the Tilapia and shrimp with mango salsa - very tasty as well as the fish being very moist. I had corn off the cob and the loaded baked potato with bacon bits. It was very enjoyable. My wife had the potato soup and half of the Cheddar's sandwich lunch special. She as well enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is nice and casual. As one reviewer stated that it was "casual upscale for Port St. Lucie..." they need to get out more. I ordered the Bourbon Salmon with steamed broccoli, baked potato with only butter and a garden salad. The salad came as ordered. The salmon came without the butter for the potato and the broccoli came after my salmon was half eaten. The butter for the potato came even after the broccoli, which by that time my potato was cold. The waitress never checked on us after she delivered the salmon, otherwise she would have known I didn't receive butter for my potato. I am giving Cheddar's a five stars review for the overall experience. Yesterday, after long hours of shopping and having no energy left to cook, we decided to dine out. Cheddar's was one of the only restaurants that was open late close to home. When I say late I mean 11 pm on Saturdays, that is what is considered late in PSL . It was almost 10pm when we walked in. The place is nicely decorated and the food was good and abundant at very affordable prices. We started with some Wisconsin cheese bites that were yummy and the marinara sauce that comes with it is to bottle! Very tasty. My husband ordered rib eye steak, was not wow but for $18 was definitely not bad. My daughter and I had sirloin steak and shrimps that were also good and my son had a bacon cheeseburger that by far was the best bite of the night. Also the Mac&cheese and the coleslaw are amazing! If you are looking to have steak go to steakhouse but if you are looking for bar style food, Cheddar 's won't disappoint you. Who make me give them a 5 star review is NICK, our waiter. A very young kid with old school manners. Such a pleasant surprise to find a young boy raised that way. He was knowledgeable, polite, passionate and a great salesman, he made the dining experience a success and set this restaurant apart. Been here 3 times. Every time we have sat at the bar. Service has always been pretty good. Drinks decent and the food good. Have had the ribs, grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings (excellent) chicken fried steak and a monte cristo. All the food was good, nothing great except the O-rings were really good and me not being a HUGE fan of them that is saying something. The food will not overwhelm you but it doesn't disappoint either. Until this place blows me away or pisses me off this is about all I can say about it. Disappointed beyond words. As the hype and wait-time for this restaurant has subsided, I was eager to finally experience it. I, as well as someone at the table next to us, had to send the Monte Cristo back. After one went back with complaints that something was VERY wrong, they still served another. While presentation was nice, it was SLIMY and RANCID (resulting in gagging/wretching...after one bite). Server was delightful and tried to expedite a replacement order, yet it took FAR TOO LONG so we simply asked for check. Manager came to table to speak to us and apologize for which the communication seemed very scripted and insincere (almost like it's a common occurrence). Enjoyed a nice "Date Day" lunch with my wife. The hostess was pleasant and seated us promptly. Our server, Naomi, was accommodating and professional. My wife had dined there before, but I was a first timer. Naomi explained the eClub application and went over some of the menu items. My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate his birthday tonight. After 15 minutes of waiting to be seated they sat us right between the terminal for orders and the employees lunch. We sat there for 10 minutes without anyone coming to acknowledge us, give us drinks or eye contact. Then with employee that walked by us ( as you can imagine how many walked by to us the terminal for orders) had something negative to say about costumers, other employees and there job.
