Bought a Groupon only to be told they changed management (in the last 3 days?) and won't honor it

Waited an hour. Just for order of bacon and eggs, with an extr side bacon and grits. Sat there. What I watch Other People? I'm getting the orders that came in after me. There was another the family of one guy with his mom and I guess his grandmother was there longer than me. They say they've been waiting there for 40 minutes period the place was not packed. However, I saw other people who are regularly there. Come in. Ask for an order and they get it right away period I will not come back yet. I don't care how good the food is. The service and the waiting it was horrible period mind you the lady that was working there was very sweet. I felt bad for her cause. She was by herself, but choosing others to serve before people who've been there longer. Is a huge no no in customer service. I will not come back here.That's just my personal opinion read more

Enjoyed the food for the price. Attentiveness of servers could have been better. Very friendly and nice, however.. once I received my food..they never came back .. rule #1, check with customer after first bite...didn't see anyone until I stopped her for my check..And unfortunately as I was eating .. due to the lack of attentiveness, a couple came in and waited for service , no one approached the table so they left. read more

Let me start by saying Mama Lisa's Bistro Food is amazing but if you aren't patient you won't return. My husband and I have been four times and only one time out of the four was the food quick to come out. This is just basic eggs toast and bacon so a tad concerning. Place has so much potential as they are nice but you often get forgotten there. You won't receive silverware immediately as the server forgets. When my food finally came out this recent time my potatoes were cold. We may or may not be finding a new breakfast/brunch spot. read more

Biked here from half an hour away for some brunch, and I was not disappointed! Service was incredibly fast and friendly, and the food was on par with what you'd expect from a diner, and the outdoor seating made it all perfect! Will definitely come back in the future! read more

Great little diner. My favorite server is Lonna who always has a smile. After order is placed I find that the kitchen is quite slow, but if you are not in a hurry the food is well worth the wait. read more

Great small town restaurant with homemade food. Down to earth cooking with unique soups and sandwiches. Their menu has the classics and they have daily specials. It's all home cooked and fresh. If you want to order out, they don't disappoint and the food arrives just right. If you want classic American dining and good service this is the place. The only negative was the cook and or workers sometimes smoke right outside which isn't appealing. Overall, I love this place and I think you will too! read more

My first visit to Mama Lisa's didn't disappoint. I went for breakfast, and it was delicious, homemade food. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the home fries had lots of onions and were cooked well. I opted for a biscuit instead of toast with my breakfast, which was a good choice. I will return to Mama's Lisa's soon. read more

Very sad that the owner of this establishment is a liar. I wrote a review on google about how much of a bad experience we had on Mother's Day . First I was not the party of seven my party was only 6 like I said you guys never try to make you service better. You have the cooks outside complaining and wait staff had no clue. To be honest it does not paid to discuss this any further. Treat your clients right and don't make them out to be lying no need to give a second chance not worth it you need to close down or have and inspection done you're place is very dirty and unorganized. I have never been in a restaurant where we had to ask for some many things! You would think none of them had ever eaten out before and what are the minimum expectations of dining patrons. We went in there for breakfast. Walked in a stood there a minute. 2 employees looked at me but didn't say a word and walked around the counter. I think there were 6 other tables with diners and 3 servers. We decided to sit down. A few more minutes went by before anyone acknowledged our existence, and she said she would be over in a minute with menus. A few minutes went by and she came up and asked what we wanted. I said we needed some menus and a few minutes later we got them. I should have known that if it took over 10 minutes to get menus, nothing in this place was going to be quick. About 5 minutes later she came back to get our order and brought us our drinks. 30 minutes went by and the server walked out with 1 plate and it was the wrong order. She brought it back to the kitchen without a word. A few minutes later my food came out. The server walked by our table at least 5 times with our empty glasses at the end of the table. I had to ask her if we would get refills. She brought them back and I asked if my son's pancakes were ready yet. We had been there 50 minutes at this point. She looked at me as if she didn't know what I was talking about. She went in the back and came right back with the pancakes so obviously they were ready and she just forgot about them. Then my son asked about his bacon. That came right out, so obviously she forgot about those too. We were there 75 minutes and most of that time was waiting on eggs and pancakes. No one greeted us when we entered. No one brought us menus with our asking. No offers to refill the glasses. No word from the server saying she would check on it. The food was actually pretty good, but they need some serious training when it comes to common courtesy and customer service. We won't be back. read more

It took just over an hour to get our food. Bacon and eggs. Hash browns were greasy. We will NEVER be back. Go somewhere else.

Food was the only saving grace.. They're trying.. Be patient. This place is perfect for one of them fixer upper type reality shows. Lots could be done to be better but you have to start somewhere. Food was good especially for the price. read more

My husband and I had breakfast there and the waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks full. The breakfast was really good. We definitely be back for dinner and breakfast. read more

Absolutely terrible! Very sad Dawns was wonderful and we hoped this would be too. Tried it twice now first time we noticed it was expensive for what it was this time everything was terrible. My husband ordered a club sandwich to go and they asked if he wanted fries he said sure they failed to mention that it was a 3$ up charge on top of a 13$ club sandwich. I ordered a burger which the bun was soggy they didn't send mayo as requested and the middle of the burger was not cooked enough to actually eat. Never again read more

Its hard to find a place to have breakfast on a Sunday in this town without an hour wait but I found this cafe that didnt have that problem. Ate there once or twice everything was fine. However On my last visit I was told to sit wherever, It was 15 minutes before anyone came over to even offer coffee or a menu but I was patient. Then the waitress came took our order after we called one over and said we have been waiting. All apologetic they took our order. After another 15 minutes without even the coffee coming I went up to the counter and asked if we can get some coffees. Again all apologetic the waitress came with coffee. Now waiting another 20 minutes nobody came to bring food or even offer more coffee or anything We decided to pay for the 2 coffees and leave. I dont know what was happening but there was only 10 guests in this diner dont know why I was there an hour and barely got a cup of coffee or why was there a bunch of plates piling up at the kitchen window under a heat lamp and nobody was serving it to us or the other 10 guests in the cafe. I guess we know why there is never a wait to eat here. read more
