I'm giving Cheddars 4 stars because as a first timer , I think this place is a very nice addition to PSL. It was a little upscale casual. Very pleasant ambience. I ordered takeout at the bar and the bartenders were very personable. He suggested a drink , Passion Punch which was quite good. The passion punch had run, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. The bartenders were very attentive. The bar is very nice, roomy seating, super clean, and hooks to hang your bag. It is comfortable to eat at. I had the strawberry salmon salad. It was delicious! The other salads were enjoyable as well per my family reviews. The food was very good. I found a email club when I checked in on yelp. So there are reasons to come back. FAIR...FARE. The potato soup and bread was good. The dinner was fair at best. The salmon was poorly cooked (dry and hard) and was too fishy tasting. The meatloaf was average, but the green beans were not edible (rubbery and hard). read more

Tried to go there for dinner tonight. 3 people were covering the front reception area. The restaurant was 1/3 occupied. A young man asked us to wait while he cleared a table. My husband and I both went to the restroom, we came back, the same young man walked past us not saying a word. We waited a couple more minutes, were ignored so we left. 1st.... Very rude manager This is a well established chain eatery of American food. It was our first time. Ambiance lovely, food on the level of a trendier Cracker Barrel. Our server was super personable..... but.... She made many mistakes. We told her immediately that it would be 2 checks. We were 2 couples. The couple with us ordered an appetizer. WE did not want to order our entree right away because we did not want everything to come out at the same time. Our server stated adamantly that a delay would be put on our order. The appetizer of chips with queso did not have enough chips. Our server asked us if we wanted more . She never brought them. (Mistake) As we were eating our salads, the entree came out. (mistake). We had asked for a delay ! Shrimp and chicken dishes were way too salty along with the bed of rice they were served on. We asked 3 times for another glass of water. (Mistake). We had to ask 3 times for extra plates for our appetizer but were told they were still being washed and did not have clean ones yet. ( Mistake) When the bill came, it had items charged to the wrong couple. ( Mistake) but the worst Mistake came from the manager. We had our server call him over for a wrong charge. We were charged for a full price salad instead of the up charge on the extra side. Even though it is worded very poorly on the menu.... The manager said, " it's clear to us how it's worded" .... Yet made no attempt to adjust the bill. It was about 80 cents on a 60 dollar bill. It was a very small amount, but the point is how rude he was. Sadly... our server lost out the most as it was reflected in her tip. The food is over salty, and mostly just upscale bar food. Choose Cheddars for lunch today, August 30, 2023. Joined by my Wife and parents, who are both 70+. We decided on appetizers, Wisconsin Cheese Nuggets and Chops and Spinach Dip. Both were excellent and we barely waited 5 minutes for our appetizers and drink order to arrive. Our entrees consisted of 2 orders of Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries, an order of Buffalo Chicken strips and mashed potatoes with sweet corn and one order of a grilled Chicken salad. Our entrees arrived within 10 minutes of our appetizers so it was a nice transition to our meal. We didn't get filled up on our appetizers before our entrees arrived! Great timing! E ended up with a little left over and our waitress was right on the ball with a couple of to go containers and a bag for us. Overall, our dining experience was excellent. Our table was clean, seats were clean and the atmosphere was comfortable. Lastly, we were served by Tiana H. I would highly recommend her any day of the week. She was professional, friendly and accommodating. Great personality and really knew what she was doing. We left full and very happy! read more

This is one of my favorite go-to restaurants for any occasion. They offer a wide assortment of lunches and dinners, and have a fabulous full bar. My favorite entrees are the Bourbon Glazed Porkchops, or the Monte Christo served with Raspberry Dipping Sauce. You can always count on consistency of the food quality here. However, the service is hit or miss. Depending on the night, you may wait 10 minutes to order, or wait 45 minutes just to be seated. All in all, the staff is always welcoming and friendly, and able to give personal recommendations when requested. Went there for the first time. We went for dinner after a long hard day. My husband and I asked for a dish with chicken breast and after waiting for a good 5 minutes the waitress comes back to tell us they had run out of chicken breast. Had to change our menu to chicken fingers. My sister order a steak and asked a young waiter for steak sauce (A1) and he never came back to let us know that they had run out of steak sauce. The croissants we got didn't look like croissants at all - they were "flat" and we joked someone warmed them up by sitting on them prior to serving them to us. We waited way too long for our food (Dijon chicken and ribs) while other guests who arrived after us already had their entrees served. Our waiter was busy and trying to get the attention of other staff members was difficult. The mashed potatoes that came with the chicken was less than warm and far from being served "hot". came by unexpectedly looking for a spot to eat for dinner & was surprised with how good this place is!! let's just start with the fact that they serve you 4 huge honey croissants & im at a loss for words with how GOOD they were. im literally obsessed with them i can't wait to come back already. i also ordered the buffalo shrimp & a 6 oz. steak with mashed potatoes & broccoli cheddar casserole = 10/10 !!!! Food tasted like it came out of a bag. All of us (three people) had different meals and we all felt like it was very generic. Calling it a "scratch kitchen" isn't accurate. It was very loud and cold and while the server was very nice and friendly, she couldn't or wouldn't ask if the gravy for my potatoes had pork in it (I'm allergic to pork), so she just decided not to enter it with any gravy instead of asking the kitchen. She also didn't want to take cash and kind of forced my elderly father to pay with a card at the table instead of running the ticket to a register and allowing him to pay cash. The one thing I never understood about cheddars is why they continue to put the same slippery floors in all of their locations. That being said, we stopped in for lunch on this particular visit and decided to have their lunch special which consisted of 2 @ 1/2 of a soup salad or sandwich item. I went with the tortilla soup which was loaded up with tortilla strips it was pretty tasty. The best I've ever had, no. Then I went with the buffalo chicken wrap. I'm from out of town and came here with family on a recent trip to Port St. Lucie. There was a 10-15 minute wait at 5pm on a Friday. My mom and I grabbed some beers at the bar for the wait. The decor and style of this restaurant is modern, clean and gorgeous. We were seated promptly and our waitress (Cherie) was welcoming, friendly and very attentive. My mom, uncle and grandmother all ordered the chicken fried chicken - their orders were cooked perfectly and were a very generous portion size. I ordered the tilapia and shrimp with mango salsa (with broccoli salad and mac & cheese for my sides). My meal was delicious! The beer selection left something to be desired (only reason for the 4 star rating). There were no local craft breweries represented, even tho the menu said "ask your server about local beer" All in all, a great experience. We have eaten here about 6 times since we moved to PSL 4 in person and 2 takeout. All the food is really great. They have these amazing honey croissants which are warm and yummy. We loved their buffalo chicken wrap it has the perfect amount of spiciness. There burger were super tasty, perfectly cool to a medium, and super juicy. The best thing there is the potato soup, it is homey, tasty, and the perfect flavor. My wife doesn't like onions, but loves this soup. It is so perfect and very filling. As of the past probably year-ish, it's been horrible. We've taken breaks and tried again after a few months but it gets worse and worse. This past visit a few days ago will be our last.
