I was treated to a birthday lunch, and I chose this restaurant today. I got the hot big apple sandwich which had corned beef, pastrami, swiss cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing on rye. It came with a side, and I chose the green chili chicken soup. The basket also came with chips. The sandwich was loaded with meat and was super delicious. I could've eaten half, but i happily finished it off! The soup was fantastic. Was thick and hearty with just the right amount of green chili spice. Wasn't over-powering, but it made my nose run slightly! The potato chips were fresh and good. Very nice wait staff. It's a popular place! I did not have room for dessert and left very satisfied. Took my mom to lunch and had the best sandwiches and soup. That place was poppin! People everywhere with 2 open tables, so we got lucky. One of the sisters took our order and as we waited for our food we observed a small homey place where even with all the people in there you could carry on a conversation. It wasn't loud at all, and is run like a perfectly oiled wheel. The system that all those ladies had in there was amazing to watch. The first time I tried Cheese & Coffee I KNEW it would be a regular spot for us! Their food was sooooo good! Awesome spot for great sandwiches and their green chile chicken soup is always a hit! Everything on their menu is mouth watering, but I always do a BYO chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. They have an amazing dill havarti that is a must try and of course fresh yummy veggies to top it off. Their fresh brewed iced tea is refreshing and the staff and service is always top notch! I meant to take a picture, but the sandwich was so tasty it was gone long before. This place has been on this corner in the strip mall for a very long time. Despite the name sounding strange (ok, I'd be find with cheese and coffee for a meal, but I know that's not everyone's thing!) this is a nice but very small lunch spot. The servers are very friendly and the food is great. I haven't been here since just before covid so I was pleased to see they were still around when I really needed a sandwich fix! The place is small and has a very quaint old-style community restaurant feel. All the servers and staff are very friendly. I always take a quick look at the menu before I head over and think I know what I want then something else grabs my eye on the menu. Really though that's ok, I haven't had a meal here that I haven't enjoyed yet! Also, it's usually enough food to be two meals at least for me. Check this place out if you get a chance! read more

My friends LOVE this place and has a cult-like following. Had a sandwich and salad combo. There's no ranch dressing for salad--not sure if they were out or don't carry it. The beef dip sammie was ok. The meat was chewy and not very good but the bread was fantastic. Wish I had that bread with a nice bowl of stew/soup. The green chile is HOT. This is NOT tourist chile; it's melt-your-tongue off EXTRA HOT green. Took about half of mine out so I could enjoy my sammie. The server was friendly but she had lots of tables during the busy lunch hour. Had to get her attention for drinks, silverware, sides, etc. Again, it was packed so understandable. We ordered take out on a Saturday afternoon. They were out of the soup by then which was a bummer because we were told it was awesome. The potato bun and home-made sauce made this a very unique sandwich that I'd definitely go back to try again! I've not had a sandwhich quite like this one. The bacon was cooked good, and everything together combined for a wonderful Sammich! 5 Stars The Good: The Chelsea was good. Nothing exceptional, nothing I'd be rushing back to order again, but it was a good turkey sandwich. 3.5 stars The decent: The potato salad was mediocre. Nothing special. You can buy a similar one in the deli at the grocery store. Mustard based, a little "starchy," and not extremely flavourful, but decent. 2 stars The bad: The pasta salad was horrible. I'll admit I'm not an olive fan, and this pasta salad seemed to be about 98% olives! with a little bit of noodle and undercooked broccoli mixed in. We sorted the olives out, and were left with a very small bit of noodles and broccoli. The broccoli was very crunchy, and not soft at all. Definitely did not complement the pasta salad. The few olive-less bites i did take had zero taste to them. Bland, and blah. Definitely not ordering that again. no stars read more

An amazing hole in the wall with food that tastes great and has good portions sizes that are worth the money. We ordered the last green chile chicken stew and makes sense why they ran out, it's a DEF MUST here esp if you like it spicy!! It was amazing, by far my favorite chicken soup, to die for. This is a local hole in the wall restaurant. By the name you would never guess it was a sandwich shop. This is the type of place that you would never think to stop into. But I recommend you do, you won't regret it. The owners are twins and if you read some of the other reviews you might think one of them might be a little rude, but the place is busy and the staff is small. I kind of enjoyed it, gave the place some character. Reminded me of an aunt of mine. Just know what you want before you order, don't wait to decide when she is taking your order or you might get the "No Soup For You" from Seinfeld. Amazing service. There are two sisters that run this dinner and one of the two is very bubbly and the other more serious. They are twins and it was funny because I got confused when the other came and asked if I was ready to order and I said, "I did, don't you remember." That was funny.
