    Humble Coffee Company, Albuquerque
    Bruce K.

One gal working hard at the counter this morning and despite the queue of customers, she did a great job of keeping things flowing. I ordered a cortado, which is supposed to be half espresso and half steamed milk. It ended up as more like a latte with a bunch of foamed milk, but still quite good. Out of breakfast burritos this morning though the pastries - including a GF donut - looked great. Wifi worked okay. A lot slow considering that there weren't very many other people here and no one else pounding away at their laptop. [Review 20549 overall - 101 in New Mexico - 1530 of 2023.]

    Decaf oat milk Mexican mocha

Humble Coffee is a great local coffee shop on Central. It was my first time trying it. I asked if they had Mexican mochas and although it's not on their menu the barista offered to whip one up without issue. The red chile was a great kick in the drink. For those who can't drink cow's milk, they have oat and almond milk they can use in any drink that requires milk. I had the vegan chickpea chana masala burrito. It was delicious! It didn't need any extra sauces because it wasn't the least bit dry. I enjoyed that the chickpeas were mashed, so they felt like potatoes instead of whole chickpeas. I'd recommend it! The coffee shop has a large amount of seating, tables, and is an open area. It's good for a few friends or perhaps even a book club with tables pushed together. I'm glad my friend suggested this spot. I'll definitely come back!

Spacious seating. Location downtown so can serve many. Food next door. Some outdoor seating available but inside there is are two community high tops, two and four top tables, and a nice tiered bench seat are in the corner. Four high with a few pillows and some power supplies. Nice attendance here on a weekend holiday.

I came across ad on IG and add it to my ABQ spots to visit. Their photos posted look good and bc I love coffee with art, I was looking forward to trying this local place out. While in the area, I finally stopped in today to try their Lavender Latte. I walked in around 11:45 am so it wasn't busy at all. FIRST IMPRESSION: This coffee shop is located inside the 505 Central Food Hall, so if you're here for lunch, it's a perfect spot. The young barista was friendly & greeted me with a smile as she took my order. She asked what size and pointed at the to go cups on the counter. I requested if she can make it in a mug since I'm staying in for a bit and coffee art looks better. She said that, most of their mugs broke lately, so they're only using to go cups until the new mugs are in. Price was $6.83 for a 16 oz which I think is reasonable with the added milk option (I asked for Oatmilk). My order was ready in less than 5 mins and I was excited to try it. I slowly opened the lid to see the coffee art, but it was only the froth you'll see on top. Disappointed!! I tasted it and I automatically knew, she didn't use oatmilk. I looked at my receipt and it says, almond milk. With open lid, I went up to the counter and told her I ordered one with oatmilk. She didn't look happy but she re-made my drink in less than 2 mins. Talking about rushing it when there's no other customers waiting. She didn't put a lid this time so you can see how disappointing my latte looks! Whether it's in a mug or not, this is not even picture-worthy and definitely not close to what they advertised on their IG account. Let's just say, I can do better at home. TASTE & QUALITY: I've had better! I recommend going to SUEÑO COFFEE CO on Broadway and you will not be disappointed! I gave this place 2 stars for mediocre service & quality, so I won't be coming back!

Omg this entire place is amazing! It is downtown, much needed, as people don't go here. It is at the north west corner of central and fifth street. It is in a place that has all kinds of food places and bars but back to the coffee place. Felt very comfortable, you can sit just have your coffee and even plug on to keep powered up. It is just a comfortable place. Site shows hours wrong, informed staff and they are to worried about it. Almost did not come in since it said was closed. Coffee as really good and not to expensive. Had vanilla but not hazelnut, they should fix that.

Stopped to get coffee and stood in line waiting and the person in front of me order but the staff took so long. Once the staff complete the man order she just walked down the bar and starting cleaning she forgot about me so I left and I had to speak out loud "excuse me I'd like to order, excuse me". She continued cleaning so I left what a waste of time.

I hadn't been here in 2 years, and not much has changed. I was surprised to only see one employee working. Too her awhile to get my order because she was busy working on other drinks. Not her fault, she should have had more help. Although my chai latte tasted great it was not hot in the least. On the fence about returning, especially since there is a good amount of competition nearby. I'm not sure why I thought it would come in a coffee cup, not a plastic cup since I was sitting inside with a friend, but it did. Although there were plenty of coffee cups available.

Delicious coffee and fun concept designs. We enjoyed the barista on staff & his style that compliments the decor. Quirky seating and overall great vibes!

I better take a photo of this before I finish it. Honey/Lavender Chia Latte.

The Coffee Shops in Albuquerque are no joke. So,I would have to compare based on my personal experience. This Coffee Shop's atmosphere is one of kind. It has beautiful wooden floors, clean restrooms, and a outside front patio area. I ordered the Chai Latte with Honey and Lavender. I don't usually order a tea drink unless I'm at a Boba Place. But today I decided to switch gears. The drink was okay. Flavors were great, but there was too much ice in the cup, and for the price, definitely not enough tea. It had the smooth Chia taste with light tasty notes of Honey and Lavender at the end, so I would have liked to have had more of the delicious tea than the ice. They also offer pastries and burritos, but I didn't try one this time around. In respect to the other coffee shops I have been to, this place is a solid four for me.

Pavoni and Humble Coffee. The perfect pairing!

Several months ago, I visited Albuquerque and had the absolute pleasure of drinking an espresso at Humble Coffee. Perfectly prepared and presented, it set a very high bar to which no coffee has since come close. So, when I found my father's now dusty, single-pull Pavoni espresso machine in a back closet, I knew there was only one coffee worthy, and ordered a bag of Humble Coffee beans. Though I can't yet match the expert pours of Humble's professional baristas, the flavor is exquisite! If you live anywhere near Albuquerque, do yourself a favor and head to Humble Coffee. As Arnold would say, 'do it, do it now!' As for me? 'I'll be back!'

Nice wide open spaces. They have a great menu where you can customize all your drinks, plus they have in house whipped cream . Stay grounded

This place definitely falls into the first category. This morning I went with the single origin Guatemala drip, and it was exactly what a solid cup of coffee should be. Smooth, rich, and balanced with a nice chocolate note that hangs around just long enough to make you take another sip. No bitterness. No burnt taste. Just a clean, well-roasted cup that says someone here actually cares about the beans. The shop itself has a personality, which I always appreciate. It's decorated with fishing lures, fish artwork, and sculptures scattered around the place. Naturally this leads to the obvious conclusion: the owner is either an avid fisherman... or coffee roasting is just the side hustle between trout expeditions. Either way, the theme works. The space feels relaxed, creative, and comfortable. The kind of place where you can sit with a cup and not feel rushed out the door. And speaking of doors, while I was there there was a steady flow of customers coming in and out. That's usually the universal coffee signal for yep, this place is doing something right. Bottom line: Great coffee, cool atmosphere, and a shop with enough character to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back for another cup of that Guatemala.
