They're warm and smokey and just sweet enough. To tell you the truth, I've never paid attention to baked beans before trying the ones at this Mad Max truck. But these are attention-getting beans that can be the star of the meal. We also got pork nachos, and those were excellent too! The pork on the chips was perfectly cooked and slightly charred on the outside. Even though my interaction with them was very limited, the staff was nice enough. I ordered a jumbo Carolina Slaw Dog with a side of BBQ baked beans. The sides are already prepared and pre-packed, so my wait was not long. It took them less than 5 minutes to have my food ready. The beans were cold, but they did offer to heat them for me. I was heading straight home so I opted to just heat them up when I got there. My dog's bread was soggy, as expected. I am just throwing that out there for those people that soggy bread matters to. It was a delicious dog though and I really liked it. The beans were also pretty good and I enjoyed them as well. I highly recommend fining out where this truck is going to be and checking them out.
