What an awesome local cheese shop, they of course also sell sammies. I stopped in and ordered a turkey on rye. The sandwich was simple, delicious and really satisfied my sandwich craving. The size of their sandwiches are on the smaller side, but at a very fair price. Being in SF, we know sandwiches can cost as much as $18. They have a super selection of cheeses, I will definitely come back here when I need to put together a board. They also sell other misc pantry items. I've been getting my specialty food items at the Cheese Boutique for 25 years. They have the absolute best tabbouleh in San Francisco and I love their humus, babaganous, stuffed grape leaves, salmon spread and pretty much everything they make. They have an excellent cheese selection, olives and anything else that is a healthy snack. Great imported sweet things, fresh pita bread and baguettes. They make fresh deli sandwiches that are huge. This is a family owned place, managed with love and joy by a wonderful couple from Lebanon (which is why their prepared Mediterranean foods are so great). Although I no longer live in Glen Park, I still drive across town from the Bayview, just for their foods. I am a "forever fan" and I'm just thrilled that they survived through the pandemic (unlike Destination Bakery, which closed very abruptly in December 2025, after 25 years in business, just up the street on Chenery). read more

This has been our most reliable source of raclette cheese for the past few years! At other places, the cheese tends to be a seasonal item, but we like to enjoy raclette year round. They will also slice the cheese so that's it's ready for the raclette grill. The owner is very friendly and provides some great recommendations if you're stuck on what to buy. Wonderful place to get a sandwich. They are not huge, but the ingredients are high quality and fresh. The waitstaff/owners are very warm and helpful. My wife and I split two sandwiches, the Fresh Mozzarella and the Italian combo. I enjoyed both and cannot decide which one I liked more. We wanted to eat these immediately after ordering. Wonderful French couple with stellar selection of European imports! They stock a variety of charcuterie, jam, and cheese from France, Austria, Switzerland, and the UK. The store also offers fresh sandwiches for only $8.95-9.95. This is an unbelievable price for the generous portions they offer in addition to imported cheese and a house made sauce. The price of the salami and prosciutto are way cheaper than the large chain markets like Trader Joe's or even Costco. I'm definitely coming here any time I need charcuterie selections. read more

The Cheese Boutique is a postage-stamp-sized grocer in Glen Park that sells sandwiches, imported Italian vittles, & the bulk of what ends up on our meats & cheese platters. Recently we stopped in for four cheeses: -- parmigiano reggiano from Italy (a domestic brand was also available) -- a sharp & pungent cheddar -- I love pecorino with truffle but I went with the cow's milk cheese with truffle this time -- a melty, oozy double cream brie from Fromager d'Affinois We bought garlic crostini to compliment the cheese; a large panettone & Pfeffernüsse (ginger bread cookies from Germany) because 'tis the season; & a couple sweets, pistachio torrone (nougat) & a milk chocolate bar filled with marzipan. Such a cute little place with friendly owners and yummy cheese! I was training a client in Glen Park and dragged my boyfriend along for a city expedition (otherwise known as he waits in the car and then we go to lunch lol). I had bookmarked this spot so he could get a sandwich and I could grab some yummy cheese! Garlic basil gouda. I'm usually not even the biggest gouda fan (more a parm, asiago, ricotta girl) but this was GOUD-A! They have a solid selection of interesting cheeses. (Not the largest selection due to space, but it is a good one) The owner was so sweet. He told us he misses having more time to chat with customers. Woohoo! During these crazy COVID times, what is more fun than eating a ton of food, am I right? So we were in the mood to fondue, turned to Yelp and came across the Cheese Boutique. What an awesome find! The second we walked in, we were greeted with smiles. We told them fondue and that is all the info that was needed for (I think) the owners to grab the exact cheeses and amounts we needed. Their advice was excellent and the way they treated me as a customer was above and beyond. They offered to grate our cheese and to add a baguette to the order. Yes and yes, perfection indeed. As a European I was also very excited to see the other products offered in the store. From Callebaut chocolate from my home country of Belgium to lebkuchen and biscotti. We came across this place while doing a walk in the Glen Park neighborhood and decided to pick up some Lebneh and Babaganouj. I kid you not, they have THE BEST BABAGANOUJ I have ever eaten. I'm already craving going back for more and trying out the falafel wrap as I totally believe it will be very worth it. The lebneh was also fantastic and we ended up adding it to everything we were eating. The lady in the store was delightful and so incredibly helpful. I work in the area and come here randomly for cheese and deli meats. Today I decided to try out a sandwich and my only regret is I never tried one sooner! They have a nice selection of imported foods and snacks and fresh baklava! I typically like hot sandwiches which is probably why I never bought one but wow I was so amazed. The veggies are cut thinly which is amazing and probably why is was soo good (it really makes a difference). I wish more sandwich places sliced thinly. It makes the veggies more spread out vs taking a bite with just lettuce and tomatoes. I assume this is a family business which is more reason to love this spot. Ever tried garlic basil gouda? I did, right here. I liked it so much, I took some home. Italian fontina...same. I don't think there's a cheese related question that these guys don't know the answer to. They are the real deal. My last visit, the owner was there & his son (I think it was his son) was working the counter. Whoever he was, he was uber helpful & friendly. They really personify what a small, family, neighborhood business should be. And they are only too happy to give you a taste of cheeses you're interested in or considering. It's a small space, but they have a good selection. There's also all the usual suspects; salami, crackers, etc. Grab yourself a bag of cookies. You deserve it.
