Did I just eat the best breakfast croissant of my life? I think I did! We were in the area to partake in some fleet week viewing and needed a quick bite. We saw the menu outside that they did breakfast croissants and we got the one that came with bacon, onion jam, double Brie creamy cheese and tomatoes. My girlfriend doesn't like eggs, so we opted out of that and they were nice enough to replace it with extra bacon. Standing outside, a lady was talking about how they got the best croissants so I was excited and it did not disappoint. The toasted croissant paired with the bacon and Brie cheese, I'm craving one just thinking about it lol While the price is a bit steep, $17 after tax and tip, it was worth it IMO, and would order it again. A really cute counter shop with a huge display of cheeses - there were so many types and I love that their sandwiches each feature a different cheese. We got the le toulouse which had duck, gruyere, fig jam, and greens. This ended up being part 1 of our lunch, mostly because they didn't have seating (there's barely any walking room for more than like 2-3 people in the shop). The employees were super friendly and totally saw me eyeing the pastries too and highkey baited me into buying one lol (great choice, they were right to do so). Strolling Chestnut Street on a Saturday and starting craving wine and cheese. Checked out a few places but got a little sticker shock. Hard to find good value these days. Came across La Fromagerie and they have a great deal! Combo charcuterie board and two glasses of wine for $45.99. Other places were asking $30-$40 for just the charcuterie board. So we decided to try it out. They have a few tables out front but all were taken so we were a bit disappointed. The gal at the counter said wait a second and went out back to get another table and two chairs for us... Such good service! She was so sweet and helpful. Board came with triple cream brie and smoked gouda, meat, dates, I forgot what the dip was and fresh bread. Really good and the cheese portions were fantastic we had to ask for extra bread which they did not charge for, but we did ask for two additional glasses of wine. All in all a delicious snack and experience. Very nice quaint Cheese shop (and bakery) with super friendly staff! They had a few different croissants and buns but not a lot. Needed a quick bite on our way back to Marin and happened across this lovely spot. The ladies behind the counter are very efficient and polite. The offerings sound delicious and the turkey sandwich with tomato, habanero sauce, arugula, and avocado was delicious. Well, there's no better eateries that I could find than to get cheesy with La Fromagerie during the National Sandwich Month. Why settle for a more flavorful meal when I was about to try what's healthy and balanced during lunchtime? Pictured below was Pyrenees grilled cheese infusion sandwich with tossed kale salad on the side. The toasted bread was never hard to chew, nor did they come apart when stuck together with the combined melted cheeses. The cheese itself, as pungent as it's nutty, never ceased to amaze me. The quality of the cave aged and others made me think that they're my best cheese selection for the happy hour during the Paris Olympics. What more shall I add for la petit cheese shop? I finally had a chance this morning to visit the new cheese shop while I was running an errand. I love brie cheese, and the triple cream brie with fig jam in the display case caught my attention. They are playing French music and I recognized the song that was featured in Emily in Paris & I started singing along. The salesperson (Morgan) was surprised that I knew the song, and I told her that it was featured in Emily in Paris. We started talking about the show, food & fashion and cheese, of course. Morgan was really helpful with my cheese selection & was kind enough to give me a little more fig jam to complement the brie cheese when serving. At the checkout counter, I noticed almond croissants, which I love & bought for tomorrow's breakfast (petit dejeuner pour demain). I'm happy to have an artisan cheese shop as an addition to our neighborhood. I'm also happy to have someone to practice my French with. Yummy cheese & warm, friendly service can't be beat! The cutest cheese shop! The staff (women owned and led) were incredible - I was under the weather and had no voice so I kindly asked for my items to go which was no problem for them. Decor is very aesthetic without being over the top. The cheese (and the bread) are the real stars of this show. Tons of great cheese from France...Brie, raclette, goat, and on. All of it great. We tried a lot and we liked it all. The sandwiches are made to order and the Parisienne was amazing. I mean it was loaded with butter, ham, flavorful cheese, cornichon, and mustard piled on a French baguette. Delicious. They even have seating out side.
