OG Cheese Tea... I absolutely love this location at the Waipahu Shopping Plaza as I never have to worry about finding parking and they pretty much have all my favorites here. The decor is ridiculously kawaii from the paws on the table to the pastel geometric chairs I can see myself getting work done here with their as they do have Wi-Fi here. As many pivot to heat sealed lids from the classic caps here they still do have it here which makes it feel more authentic and aesthetically pleasing...now how can you not think their cups are super adorbz!!! We got two drinks Plant milk tea with cheese and Oreo and my classic Mix fruit with Spring tea filled with fresh fruits it's just so yummy and refreshing for what will be an epic hot summer. 6-15-23 Today was the first time I noticed the signage for this business. It's in the building across from Max. I read the review first while hubs went to buy some omiyage to take to Doc from the supermarket. Told hubs let's try it. If you like cats or kitties you'll be in 7 th heaven when you see the baby blue and pink furniture with cat paw decorations. If you are facing the order counter, the wall on the left has the softest looking sweetest face of a pastel cat- love it! There is another room that's presently used for storage and some little Knick knacks for sale. Erika had one customer before us but took our order as soon as we studied the menus posted above. As usual I had to decide for hubs so got two Creamy cake milk tea with cheese cap, egg pudding 0% sugar, no ice and the Yelp check in discount. Cheese tea is just ok for me. I called ahead and even though the worker didn't start my drink before I got there, he was able to make it super fast and I didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes. It was served in a plastic cup and at other places, the brown sugar is kind of drizzled on the walls, but not at this place. It just looked like a regular milk tea with boba. It tasted pretty good though, so I'll probably be back. I saw that they offer a stamp card from another review, but I wasn't offered one. Because I was in a rush, I forgot to ask. The interior inside the boba cafe is so cute and kitty themed, a great place where you can hang out with friends. They serve milk tea, boba, smoothies, lattes and some snacks and desserts. If you're lactose intolerant, they only serve dairy milk, but there are so many drink options to choose from, there is a drink available for everyone. They also have their own loyalty stamp card that you can use whenever you return back. This is one of my go-to boba places in Waipahu. Whenever I order a drink, it always comes in a reusable cup that you can keep. I always gravitate towards their milk teas especially Hong Kong Milk tea. I feel like this is one of the few places that do it right. It's a strong black tea flavor so it's a little bitter than other black teas. When I want to treat myself, I'll add a cheese foam top and some boba. A drink I would recommend if you don't want something too sweet. Found this little establishment perpendicular to Savers in Waipahu Shopping CTR. As I walked in , I love how kawaii the decorated wall is. The menu has a bunch of teas, milk teas and fruity smoothies. The cashier was very nice and patient while I looked at the menu. Very courteous when I asked what was cheese foam. It was just fluffed aired cream cheese all along. We got the small size brown sugar milk tea with cheese foam brûlée, mango milk & Oreo smoothie. It was good. Love the little containers it came with. Hubby and I frequented their town location. We were so excited to find out they opened this location close to home! Where exactly in Waipahu are they? You know where Savers Waipahu or Max's is at? It's the same complex! Stay on Farrington Hwy until you see Max's and turn in. Takeout: Because of the pandemic, only 2 people are allowed at a time, but you can call ahead! I'm kinda bummed I have to update this review. I was debating between a 3 & 4 star review. I decided to stop by for a milk-tea fix after getting off early from work and picking up my child in Kunia. Cheese Tea was conveniently located on my route home. I checked their hours on Yelp to confirm they would be open. To my dismay, they were not open upon our arrival. I believe their only worker had to deliver an order and left the store unattended. Luckily, we only had to wait 15 minutes, but still... you get it. When the worker arrived, he apologized for the wait. He did offer a discount on the drinks when I mentioned the wait, but it was only a discount for the same amount we already qualified for with their happy hour that's posted on their website. The drinks themselves left room for desire. I wasn't sure if it was just this order or my memory was mistaken. I ordered the O.B.C. Temptation. It was okay. Continuing the saga from my confessions of a self proclaimed boba connoisseur: If you can find Savers and Max of Manila in Waipahu, you can find this spot. It's within the same shopping center. This area is where I would consider to be the middle of Waipahu. So it does take a bit of effort to get in and out from. If you're like me and travel for boba, that stuff matters. Milk teas are pretty standard. I will explore the menu as my visits progress. So far I like the fact that they offer boba, cheese cap, creamy cake and coffee jelly. I had all of those in my drink but it honestly was way too much add ons for such a small cup. It doesn't really look like a standard 16oz but I'll as or measure next time. Because I added so many items, my drink price was quite high. About $8 or so for the large and 4 add ons. The space itself is really cute and it could make you forget you're in Waipahu. There's a good amount of tables and chairs for a couple of groups. They even have more seating in another space passed the register. Not sure about a bathroom though. Parking is good. Lots of stalls and not many popular businesses in the same building or area close by. The employees were nice. I just had a brief interaction ordering my drink with one person and it went just fine. One thing I don't care much for is getting my boba warm. There was ice inside but the ice is at the top and the drink is hard to stir without making a bit of a mess. Another thing was some of my tapioca boba weren't cooked well. I had some hard chunks I had to spit out. They weren't old, they were undercooked. I can tell... So hopefully on my future visits that won't be a problem. All in all, I will be back. I'll have to time my trip from home and same for the trip back just to see if it's worth my while lol. But google maps & maps will bring you directly through there. Parking: Lots of parking spots and easy access to the location. It shares the area with other stores. But no problem in fighting for parking. Interior: Super cute theme! It's a cat theme with baby blue & baby pink colors. Chairs & tables look like a geometric style. Which I thought was unique and fancy. The tables has a cat paw on it and it's just the small details that made this boba place attractive. They also have board games available and lots of sitting both inside the main store and inner store. Drinks: Of course everyone is talking about the famous brown sugar milk tea with cheese foam and creamy cake from Hana Tea. So this place, not only is closer to home but has all that flavors too! It was delicious and very similar taste to what we experienced in Hana Tea. Reason why I'm giving this place a 4/5 because I requested not once but twice.. two visits that I wanted the pink cup instead of the blue. I notice they alternate their cups with every order and every customer. However when I visited twice, my husband and I both for the blue cup. It disappointed me bc I wanted to take a picture of both blue and pink, not just because I love pink but to show others what it looks like and how cute it is. My sister wanted a boba drink and found this establishment on yelp. This place is absolutely adorable! The cashier (possibly owner?) told me his sister did all the decorating. I asked him which were his most popular drinks, and was informed it was the first 3 drinks listed under Milk Tea. I decided to get the Cheese Brulee Milk Tea with egg pudding. I was a bit skeptical about how good a drink would be with cheese in it (cheese in a drink?!), but I was pleasantly surprised! My drink was absolutely delicious, and not sickeningly sweet like some other boba shops I've tried. There was no need to request for less sugar. The cheese foam at the top of my drink was a wonderful combination of salty and sweet. The egg pudding I added to my drink was also delicious! Tbh, I could've ate a bowl of just the egg pudding lol. I took a sip of the Brown Sugar Milk Tea and that was good too with flavors of a creamy Oolong tea. Most of the drinks listed cost between $4-$5. The Cheese Brulee Milk Tea cost a little more at $6 for the large, not including the additional topping. This drink was SO tasty! So glad I had the foresight to order a large xD Parking is not an issue as there are a many parking stalls right in the front. My tip: Don't don't forget to do your first check in on yelp to get your 10% off a drink. And be adventurous if you want to find a new favorite drink. First time trying this boba place. Seen that they have a location in town and I'm glad we don't have to drive to get their boba. The atmosphere is really cute and pretty. It is very colorful as well. The chairs are fancy and comfortable to sit on. It is pretty small and could get crowded pretty fast. There is a total of 6 tables with 4 chairs on each. Now to the boba. There are a lot to choose from. From milk tea to fruit tea. Fresh fruit smoothies and their own special menu. We ordered a large ice cream milk tea with boba and cheese brulee. We also got a medium O.B.C temptation. When the drinks came out it was both the same size. We were both confused but I asked and they fixed my order and made my drink a large size. The ice cream milk tea was very good and the cheese burlee was the icing on the cake. The O.B.C was not bad as well. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu. I've been here twice, and there were lots of parking stalls available. First time, I ordered the Plant Oreo Matcha. I don't know what the "plant" part of this drink is but figured, whatever I'll give it a try. I thought that it was cool that the cashier/guy who made the drink explained that I should stir the cheese foam before drinking. Of course wondering why, when I got back to the car I went ahead and tasted just a little of the topping. It had a saltiness to it, but it did work so well mixed into the rest of the drink. Oh, I also added boba to the drink, and it was so good. I would come here again. Second time I went was a couple of days later. My cousin asked the cashier (a different guy from my first visit) what was in the Plant Oreo Matcha, and he said oreo and matcha...so I still don't know what the plant part of this drink is lol. Trash Bin - Not sure if they ever use the trash bin. First time that I went, they had a plastic shopping bag hanging on the corner of the trash bin. Second time I went, there wasn't a bag, and if there was an opening for the wooden trash bin, it was pushed against the wall to purposely not be used. Inside of the shop is really cute, and quiet. Quiet like walking into a library. Second visit there even had a guy sleeping with his head on the table while his friends were either on their laptop or phones; quietly. Although I'm not with the cheese hype I decided to go for it again and at a different boba spot. He instructed me to mix my brown sugar milk tea with boba and cheese cap and so I did! My tummy was not upset afterwards lol and I kind of dig that drink! The mango mochi dessert thing is really tasty according to my son. They're out of strawberry which is what he wanted.. However there were some things that made me knock off a couple stars...First off, after entering the guy kind of made a sigh as if we were a burden to support this small business..I don't recall a greeting but he waited for us to order. He mentioned they currently have a limited menu of milk tea drinks available only. The rest of the menu is a no go. Bummers, hubbs usually joins along for the smoothies. Luckily after I said no smoothies to him, the guy mentioned they do have strawberry and watermelon smoothies available. It's just watermelon with water, nothing special at all. A perfect afternoon/afterwork treat! I went at around 4:30 in the afternoon, and because of COVID19, this part of the shopping center is not that crowded. Cheese tea is located at the shopping center thats adjacent to Pacific SuperMarket and Max's of Manila in Waipahu. A small shop but carries a wide variety of drink flavors. This has been my 10th time at this store, and i must trully say that their drinks are delicious!!! Their main attraction is the brown sugar milk tea (which i ordered on this particular afternoon). This came with the option of adding brown sugar boba! I added a cheese topper for mine since I truly liked it the last time I went. I brought my husband their Honey dew milktea with brown sugar boba and is so good! The server suggested that we consume the drink within the 30 min period since the Boba with get hard. I've been craving creamy cake and brûlée cheese foam for a of couple months now. With my go to boba place of choice being so far away, I stopped in here because this is probably the only place on the west side that has both. The milk tea was good, just like most places. Creamy cake is good as well but kind of on the thin side. Same goes for the cheese foam it was kind of thin. I'm the kind of person the drinks the milk tea first so I can scrape off the creamy cake and savor the cheese foam. However I do like how they brûlée the foam. Here they have a much better crunch to the brûlée as well as the smoky taste that you get from the caramelized sugar. I like that I could crunch of the little chunks of sugar from the brûlée. Where is the Cheese? While some people may be turned off by the thought of cheese and tea, I was actually intrigued of such combination that I had to come try. Now, I'm no Boba Fanatic and I'm still befuddled at the current Boba, Milk Tea Craze that seems to be sweeping the nation, I still don't quite understand it. I have had these kinds of drinks 20 years ago when I was living in Washington, so I really don't get the hype. Milk Teas and a big straw so you can sip (actually suck) the tapioca balls out is the simplest way I can describe the drink. So what is it now? The cheese is more about the foam and not like cubes or balls of cheese, that I had conjured up in my my head, of what it would be like mixed with tea. Awesome boba tea with cheese foam sold here. I love they do not skimp on it and it is well worth the extra cost. I was so happy to have found out that they sell Bubbie's mochi ice cream as well. They only have three flavors unfortunately but the salted caramel was the bomb! The customer service is amazing. The store is cute, very clean and bathroom is available inside the store as well. Delicious! So glad they have more bubble tea options opening up on the West side. Went to check this place out with a friend - she got an avocado banana smoothie and I got the grapefruit tea, not sweet, with cheese foam thing. So good!!! Would def. order mine again. Boba was delicious. Just sweet enough. Perfectly cooked. Packaging was super sturdy - those cups are fancy! Our drinks were incredibly filling too. That drink is a dessert in a cup! This is A-OK. It is pretty cool that they were open for take out milk teas only during the covid 19 social distancing pandemic. Amongst the boba shops in Waiaphu this is my go to. I do love their cheese foam on top of a mango smoothie. During my last visit this wasn't available which is understandable during the crisis. We are sooo happy to have this boba spot near us! Brought the fam in one day cause we were craving something sweet. We ordered a variety of drinks and it came up quick! Each one was tasty (yes, I sampled each of the drinks we ordered)! Five drinks: 1) Brown sugar milk tea (50% sweetness) with cheese brûlée, creamy cake, and brown sugar boba 2) Same as above at 75% sweetness 3) Strawberry smoothie with mixed popping boba (lychee & strawberry) 4) Blueberry smoothie 5) Strawberry smoothie with boba, cheese foam, and creamy cake Everyone drank their drink to the last drop. We were all very satisfied. Loved how extensive their menu is. There's definitely something for everyone. The shop is so cute. Pink & blue everything (even their stamp cards)! Restuant: 4/5 It's a new shop that I was told opened on Sept 28, 2019. Super clean, modern, and spacious. At the entrance, if you turn left, you'll see a rack of board games. This is a great edition of the shop and it feels like they encourage customers to just live the true Hawaii lifestyle and "hang loose" (with a boba drink of course!) I hope the shop layout stays this way! Also the two screens that display the menu are big enough to house the vast list of boba options. However, I'd suggest increasing the font size of the text. It's small to me. Maybe setting to a medium such as 30-40pt font could help with people who have poor vision and/or forgot thier glasses in the car! Haha. Service: 5/5 service that's for sure! Staff were super friendly and greeted me. We were able to chat a little bit and learn more about the history of the shop. I asked for stickers and they were kind enough to share a strip with my group and I! Drink: 5/5 I got the small Brown Sugar boba as recommended by the cashier. She said it was the most popular flavor at the shop. The cup itself was already a esthetically pleasing. The amazing design definitely matched the amazing flavor of the drink. I was surprised at how blanaced the sweetness was. I didn't feel like it was too sweet. It was just right. I didn't feel bloated and I didn't get tired of the flavor. Located in the same plaza as Pacific and Max's. So there's choke parking here. Nice little place with decent amount of chairs. If you want a place to do work and drink boba, this is a good place to do so. They got WiFi, AC and a restroom. Plus, there's not much of an aroma, so you won't be smelling weird if you got places to go after doing work. Their drinks are on the pricier side than other boba places. But their drinks are pretty good! Their Messy Peach is my go to so far! I'd definitely recommend getting that if you want something fruity or refreshing. Their milk tea is good as well. Overall, it's just like their place in town. Come give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more
