It's always tea time... With this Pearlridge Shopping Center kiosk as it's basically right at the entrance of TJ Maxx location of the mall so it's almost the first thing you see or the last if you're exiting in that direction and for me it was on my way out lol! With a decent amount of options available at this mall Taste Tea seems to be one of the favorites as there's always someone there placing an order which is great and since it was a bit late I realize that it was almost closing tie and I felt bad that I just needed some tea to get me through the night as I still had ore things to do With that it was Peach Iced Tea with Boba and the staff was very polite as the person who was taking the order was busy assembling other items the guy making the tea took my order keeping the flow going is a great teamwork between the staffs is nice vibe to see and my tea was Taste-y as usual. Service for me was great, the cashier was nice and I didn't have to wait long since the other employees were working on my order as the cashier reviewed what I wanted with me which was great! My drink wasn't bad but it more on the sweet side for my taste even at 50% sweetness. Although on the bright side I thought that the boba was cooked perfectly and was as chewy as I like it compared to other places I've tried where the boba was quite soft like the alley. read more

Ok so it's been a while since I have gotten a bubble drink but I heard Taste Tea is good. I got the blended taro milk tea with boba and it was soooo refreshing I was in shock! The tea flavor wasn't too strong thankfully since I don't like tea. I mainly wanted a taro milk shake with chewy boba and that's what it tasted like! The boba texture was just right: not too starchy and not too gooey. I watched her make the smoothie and while it was the powder flavoring, it didn't taste chalky. Perfect for walking around the mall and sipping away. Before I knew it, it was gone! So much for saving some for my mom! They have a very extensive menu so I had a hard time deciding but it was between pudding milk tea blended and the taro and the cashier recommended taro. Good choice! read more

Great location. Had dinner with my friends at Moes Southwest Grill and wanted to pick up something sweet before I go home. Came around their closing time (They close at 7:00pm!) last Thursday. Decided to make a yelp to review about it because their customer service & drinks are a 12/10. I've never tried here before so this is new to me. The young girl with balayage hair and round glasses was super helpful. I'm more of a milk tea person and since the menu was a lot to choose from, she helped me choose a perfect flavor. She recommended a Honeydew Milk tea made with green tea, a mix of boba & Thai walls. It tasted like a Melona Bar. I got my sweetness at 50% since she said the Thai walls would already give a sweet taste. She gave me the option to blend it or have it over ice--but I wanted to try it over ice first. The drink & service complimented each other so well. I will be back to try it blended! Nice job to the cashier! She was super patient and knowledgeable about the menu. If you like sugar water, this is definitely the place to go to. Unfortunately for this place, I like to taste the tea in my milk tea and not just sugar. Granted, some of you may just tell me to order it with less sugar. But here's the problem: without the sugar, I'm just left with watered down tea and milk! I've been to this place numerous times and have so far ordered their regular milk tea, matcha latte milk tea, and honeydew milk tea. Out of the three, I liked their matcha latte milk tea the best but that may only be because I love anything matcha. Another thing that brought down my experience is that this place seems almost completely reliant on powder milk tea and powder flavoring which leaves almost a grainy taste in my mouth if they don't mix it well enough. Sometimes, they'll also put too much and its artificial flavors then really shine through in the drink. I'm also disappointed by the lack of consistency at this particular location. A drink at 50% sweetness level will not always taste the same depending on who makes it. It would be really nice if they started measuring the ingredients they put into their drinks. To end on a more positive note, their boba has a pretty good texture for those that like their boba on the chewier, dense side of the spectrum. It works your jaw out just a little bit more than the typical boba, but I actually don't mind that all too much. read more

Absolute worst customer service ever. Girl with big eyelashes and knee brace helped me, I kindly asked her to remake my drink as she made it wrong. This review is long overdue, but when I used to work at the mall, I would come here almost every day after work and order the Fruity Pebbles Milk Tea or the Taro Coconut Milk Tea with Molten Tapioca. The molten tapioca is my favorite drink add-on. It is warm and chewy and goes perfectly with the milk tea. The drinks here are good, and the service is fast. I have loved Taste Tea since its original opening at Ala Moana and their small location in Pealridge is just as great. The quality of the drinks are still yummy as ever and the staff are still friendly. They dont sell goods here but theyre located next to Brug Bakery, which is a perfect combination! Im writing this review because a particular staff member (whose name I didnt get due to no name tags) but when I was unable to pay with card (my total was less than 5.00) and I only had 4.00 cash on me, she covered the additional 0.50 of my bill. I WAS SPEECHLESS. Ive never had someone do that for me. She deserves all the praise!! Yay! First time trying out another Taste Tea (besides the Ala Moana location). I always get a passion fruit green tea. Personally, I like this location more. I go to the Ala Moana location a lot, and their boba is almost always half uncooked, which gets annoying. This location had perfect chewy boba :) My only gripe with Taste Tea in general, is the taste of their passion fruit syrup. Not sure if they don't put enough in, or maybe they should look into another syrup, but it just doesn't have too much passion fruit flavor. After the tartness of the drink, once you're half done, it tastes like a water downed tea, so you need to drink fast. There are only 2 workers. We came in during the afternoon, so they had to get through quite a few customers, but they made it work, so kudos. If I'm ever near the area, I will know where to pick up a nice PFGT. read more

This is my favorite Boba tea place on island. Staff is friendly, quick and professional. I have tried the Jasmine milk tea and one other tea (oolong with cream) both were prepared perfectly. The staff is very good about asking what level of sweetness you prefer. You have a choice of small boba or large boba. I usually chose the larger sized boba. The service and the tea was lovely. This boba spot is located inside of Pearl Ridge near the TJ Maxx. When I arrived, there was no line. I've been to other Taste Tea locations and I was glad there wasn't a long wait for this kiosk. My go-to drink is the classic Milk Tea & it always hits the spot. The flavor was great. You can choose your 'sweetness' level & I went with 50% which I felt was delicious and just right. The boba was cooked to a perfect level of softness as well. I really can't stand hard boba--but no problem with that here! The cashier was quick and friendly. Sweet!!! Taste Tea nearby where I live. I'm so glad to have this business in West side. The kiosk is located between the uptown food court and the Da Snack Shack. The menu is same as the original location near Ala Moana and the truck by Waikele Center. I ordered the medium jasmine milk tea with small tapioca balls 50% sweet. The worker let me have a sample before getting my beverage ready. That is one thing I like about Taste Tea, get to try it before they hand you your order. Taste Tea is one of my go-to spots for boba. Their drinks are delicious and the boba is pretty good. They have simple drinks and also have new/trendy ones occasionally. This kiosk is located right inside of the mall entrance near TJ Maxx. I prefer to get my fruit teas from here than from other places. The service is also quick and efficient. During the shutdown, the hours for this spot were mismatched between their social media and other web sources and the actual kiosk. I did go there a couple of times and there was no one around. However, I think they have it straightened out now. Also, if you go closer to their closing time, they sometimes run out of boba (which for me, defeats the purpose of coming here). So, be sure you go earlier rather than later. read more

Needed something to hold me down while running my kids around. I found this outside TJ Max hidden to the side towards an exit. I ordered the coconut milk blended 100% sweet. Now if you like an ok sweet like starbucks blended get the 100% if you need more get the 125% which i will probably do next time. Now this drink held up shopping at the mall and still made it home since i wanted it to melt a bit. I added some creamer i had and it gave me an extra kick of flavor!! Milk tea places are really popping up everywhere even away from central Honolulu area. This is 4th Taste Tea location inside uptown pearlridge right at the entrance of the food court. It's a kiosk where gelato place was before. Taste Tea continues to offer good customer service as well as consistent drinks. Some of my favorites are green milk tea and oolong milk tea with mini bobas. I usually get 30% sweetness to keep up with my guilty pleasure. Make sure you get a stamp card. read more

So excited that we finally have Taste Tea in Pearlridge area! This location is at the kiosk outside of TJ maxx and T-Mobile. Taste tea is probably one of my fave boba places in Hawaii bc the taste of the various milk teas and lychee black tea is pretty on point. Not to mention their price ranges are fairly reasonable compared to other chain boba spots. They offer different levels of sweetness and an ample amount of teas to choose from ranging from Thai tea to almond milk tea. I've only had their almond milk tea, black milk tea, Thai tea, and lychee black tea and all of them are pretty tasty. Their drinks are approximately $3.50-4.50 with add-ins such as boba or lychee jelly for an additional 50 cents. Overall I'd highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and are having a boba craving! It's just a plus for me bc it's so close to my work:). read more

Whew! I thought they were gone from Pearlridge Uptown but they relocated to the other end of the mall by TJ Maxx and Brug. I came across this location during my morning walk around the mall. A kiosk version of their stores/truck... delicious milk/iced teas and great service BUT no coffee drinks served at this location. Decided to stick with my fruity tea (Pineapple) and instead of boba I added chia... you know, to make it healthier after my walk. They also have a stamp card... one stamp for every $2 drink purchase... 20 stamps will earn you $4 off next visit. Sweet! Taste Tea is one of my favorite boba spots because of their molten milk tea (doesn't have caffeine so I didn't feel guilty drinking a ton while pregnant)! Although it's just a small kiosk on the TJ Maxx/Goma Tei side of Pearlridge (parking is sometimes hard when the mall is busy), they have the same great quality as the Ala Moana location. The staff have always been so friendly and they are quick to make the drinks and fix it if the sweetness/flavor isn't to my preference. Downside is that they don't always have molten boba (and a lot of other items) since it's just a small kiosk. Recommend calling ahead to: 1) Check availability of your favorite drinks, and 2) If you go within 20 min of closing because sometimes they'll clean up early. read more

Such a convenient location (kiosk type) located right at the entrance near Tj Maxx. Staff are always so friendly and they get your drinks out super quickly. You can customize your drink to your liking with the different teas such as black, green, spring etc and you can also let them know your sweetness level less, regular, extra sweet etc. They also let you sample your drinks before they seal it so you can let them know if any changes need to be made. Its always so frustrating when I see customers say its ok then later they need to reopen their drinks to change something which is why they let you sample it before they close it up. The one drink that you cant customize is the blended drinks, they dont let you adjust the sweetness level and they do not offer a sample of blended drinks. Taste Tea is my absolute favorite boba joint so its great that they have so many locations spread out around the island. Wish they would bring one to the Windward side. My favorite drinks are the blended passion fruit spring tea with molten boba (boba cooked in sugar) and lychee jelly. The boba is always cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. I am floored that Taste Tea is coming out of their comfort zone. They have been near Ala Moana for years. Every now and then I'd be able to catch the mobile truck at events. Then came the truck in the Waikele area and now they have finally popped up in Pearlridge and even Ewa Beach! That's great! When Taste Tea first came to be, my usual was always the winter melon tea latte with coffee jelly and boba. I preferred this tea spot compared to others because of the taste of the tea and the texture of the coffee jelly. Then when the taro chunks came out, I was obsessed with that for a bit. Now our usual is always Fruity Pebbles. The sweetness level is much too sweet for our taste so we always go down to 50% or lower. You are given the option to sample your drink before they send you off with a sealed cup. Back when the original location started selling their own mason jars, I had one, but since... it's fallen to its shattered death, R.I.P. Bring the jars back, I'd totally get another. Until then, I have been bringing my own and I honestly appreciate businesses that can support me in my effort to reduce waste, even if it's just one cup and a straw at a time. As far as the prices go, depending on what you order, I don't think the drink itself goes over $5. If you're getting add-ins, that's a different story. But still, very reasonably priced. They also have a stamp reward card. I believe it's one stamp per $2 spent and when the stamp card is filled you can put it toward a drink. This is a kiosk located in Pearlridge mall, by TJ Maxx and across from BRUG. I ordered an iced tea lemonade with chia seeds. You can choose from green, black, or spring tea. They asked if I would like to sample my drink to make sure I liked it. I thought that was nice. Good thing I chose to taste it, there was no sugar at all. Not even in the lemonade so it tasted sour. 2nd time here. 1st time was good so we came here again to get the same classic milk tea but it was a disappointing experience. they were out of the normal boba only had the small ones which i don't really care for. ordered with no ice but gave me with ice and when i notified the staff she didn't even apologize for her mistake. what i don't appreciate is instead of remaking my tea, they just removed the ice from the original cup then put it in a new one. milk tea was watery and had no taste. I enjoy going to taste tea when I'm at pearlridge, I don't really care for the other boba places in the mall. They're quick, friendly, and their milk teas and boba are always good. Boba is a little mushy sometimes, but I think that's because I go towards the end of the night. My only bad experience was recently I got a milk tea like normal and when I got it, there was barely ice in it. Maybe a few cubes. I know they make everything fresh, I just wish I had more ice. By the time I got halfway, the drink was basically warm. So I had bathroom issues after, tmi sorry. But other than that, Taste Tea is great read more
