Revisited to try the viral strawberry hot honey chicken cheesesteak. It wasn't my cup of tea. It started out surprisingly good, it seemed like it was balanced. However, after the 3rd or 4th bite, the honey just lingered on the palate, and was way too sweet. Ordered a steak with fried onions and they forgot the onions on it along with the Bleu cheese I order for the buffalo steak. Their buffalo sauce is a bit sweet which threw me off but I did like that they chopped the chicken breast up well. This is not a walk in spot. You go up to the first window and they take your order ,then give your order at the second window. They should put a bell at the order window so the workers know people are outside. The gentleman at the window was nice but every time the windows opened and closed it didn't smell like steak and onions as much as it smelled like weed. Would I go back, no. Honestly challenging to pick a rating because the cheesesteaks are good but their customer service is SO bad. Every single time we've ordered here, and we always order 30-45 mins ahead, it's not ready. Literally every time. When you order online it's a 35 min estimate and then when you arrive they'll tell you oh just 5-10 more mins but it's ALWAYS 20+ because they don't actually start it until you get there. And they'll give away your food if people infront of you complain enough about the wait and then you're stuck waiting longer. It's such a shame because we'd get it more often, because the food really is pretty good, but it doesn't matter how early you order or what the ETA says for pickup, they're gonna lie, and you're gonna wait, even if there's no line. Eclipse Brewing is a fun little spot. Bonus bathroom video at end of the review. You can see in the pictures that this is a very good cheesesteak. However, it was a little cumbersome to eat. The meat is a little thicker slice. It gives a good meat flavor but you have to really bite into it. Great amount of cheese and cheese melt. Good amount of onions but they got a little lost. A friend suggested this place when I came home for a visit. Let me frame this correctly. I live in a city where getting a cheesesteak is a journey and we don't have a lot of options. Something in my soul says that there's something wrong with me for paying $42 for two cheesesteaks... But what was handed to me was worth every dollar!! Good roll. Great cheesy flavor with Cooper Sharp, could have used a bit more cheese for all the meat. The meat was good, but way too much (but we just took some off and probably have enough for a whole second meal tomorrow).
