So I typically love going to cheesy cow but that was until the costumer service went from a 10 to a 2 all because I ordered extra cheese sauce. I had ordered my food and then after the fact forgot that I wanted extra cheese so I went to the counter and was like can I buy 2 sides of extra cheese sauce. Perfect that was until we heard to teenage girls talking behind the counter to the kitchen like "yeah I don't know why they even want them" well perhaps it's the fact that if the cheese to noodle ratio was good from the start I wouldn't of had to buy the extra cheese. So to answer your question idk perhaps a girl just wanted more cheese for her "MAC AND CHEESE" but besides that as a business perspective considering I'm paying extra for the cheese, I wouldn't worry about why I wanted to the cheese considering my cheese money is what pays your wage...... side note here are my friends "cheese" fries that lack cheese, so next time you question why would someone need more cheese? The concept seemed amazing! Mac & Cheese with every topping you can imagine mixed in. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. Overpriced pasta with little flavor to the cheese sauce and even less flavor with the toppings. It was just ok, and we probably wouldn't try it again. Came here on a whim on our way to Davenport for work, and so glad we did! They use the same Mac base for everything it seemed, which is a smart business plan, but the specialty is in the toppings. It was SO hard to choose, they all looked so good! Service was walk up, and the cashier was super friendly and helpful. Food came out super quick - and even the smaller portion was HUGE. I have been DYING for this place to open up. Their opening day was 12/17/18. I was able to check it out 12/20/18. First arriving at the eatery it looked busy. I saw a line; I was getting nervous. I heard rumours that the reuben mac was splendid, so I kept with the tip and gave it a try. The entree came out in record time for a place so busy. I gazed down at a valley full of noodles, cheese, corned beef and sauerkraut drizzled with thousand island. I could almost feel my tastebuds prepping themselves for flavour. Not a diner environment, but more a "Subway" environment where the employee will bring out the food to your table after it is finished. I've been here twice and the 2 star rating is more than fair. The price versus the food. Its pricey for what you get. Especially the drinks - the drink prices are exorbitant, so I just ended up with nothing or water from the fountain which is fine by me, as I don't do soda, and that's all they really had. The mac and cheese is the issue here - it should be excellent as that is what this place is all about. Its just not. The mac and cheese is processed. The cheese has the consistency of Velveeta and even tastes like it. The overall impression is that its gotten from a can or a bag, and then heated up. I'd rather just stop at a diner for one of their "sides" of mac and cheese, or just make it myself, as it will be better. That's what the problem is - if I can make better food then the establishment I walk into, then why bother paying a big price for the food? Just doesn't make any sense when "Mac and Cheese" is part of your name on the door. read more

Been there twice, once nefore covid and now in July '20. AMAZINGand ate in both times, had plenty of left overs with the smaller portion. Had pulled porm first time, LOVED IT, my boyfriend had the hamburger one, he didnt care that it was a whole patty and no knife but it was REALLY GOOD!! In July was a late birthday lunch, I had a walking taco and my friend had the pulled pork, Taco was amazing and pulled pork was just as delicious as before. You won't be able to see the menu in line so have the menu on your phone to know what you want to order. The Mac and cheese is good but you have to deal with undertrained and unmotivated staff in order to get it. The staff doesn't know what they're doing, they're all high school kids, they violate health codes and are pretty rude. The whole place is messy, you're gonna have a long wait for food because the cooks are busy fixing orders they messed up instead of cooking yours. This place needs work. Gluten free options is actually just overpriced cheesy potatoes. You should just make Mac and cheese at home. read more

I went on their second night in business. An hour and forty-five minutes spent standing in line to order then waiting for food to be brought out, at which point the restaurant manager admits that they've totally lost track of all orders and has all the customers come up to the counter to start manually sorting out ticket numbers and items ordered. I decided to leave at that point without eating, having spent almost two hours there. I'd heard they ran out of food the night before so this wasn't a total surprise. I realize new restaurants take a while to figure things out, so I don't think this speaks to their long-term quality (the people sitting next to us who did get to eat said the food was very good), but at least in their first few days The Cheesy Cow seems TOTALLY unprepared to deal with the enthusiasm they're receiving. Seriously, an hour for our meal to come out. Only for it to come out wrong. My mac and cheese was cold and the noodles were hard. My wife, because of some allergies, ordered a salad with only bacon, chicken, greens and vinaigrette dressing. It was typed in correctly by the cashier because we verified it. The salad came out as a full salad. We sent it back. It took 20 minutes for it to come back. My son came about 1/2 hour after us and ordered just the plain mac and cheese. It took 50 minutes to get his. This experience was totally unacceptable. We said something to the lady who brought out our food. Our concern was totally ignored. No, "oh I'm sorry", nothing. Just"OK". You can't make this stuff up. If a concerned customer cannot be heard, how could this place get any better?? They are clearly not prepared for the endeavor they've decided to embark on. read more
