We came down to the area for a Braves game. We were looking for something to eat in downtown Marietta. We were going to try another place, then we spotted this food hall. We are happy we did! We love a food, hall! And this one was great. we made the rounds that had a hard time deciding what to get! My wife ended up with the euro for one of the places. It was great. I got some redneck lasagna from the barbecue place, a burger from Roxy's, and some chicken from the Japanese chicken finger place. And then we ended the evening with some Flan from the Latin booth. We met friends at around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday to grab lunch here. When we arrived, there was some sort of farmers' market type event, so the parking lot was pretty full. About the parking: the food hall is located adjacent to the railroad tracks on the opposite side from Marietta. This is fine unless there is a train. Even then, it appeared they had a pedestrian walkway over the tracks, but we didn't use it. The lot itself is public and appears cobbled together from where they razed former buildings. There are more like 3 - 4 separate lots that are interlinked at odd places. I think 2 of them were not joined at all, so depending on how close you want to park, you should try the lot with an entrance in front of the food hall. Payment was via texting a number or an app. They talked about validation, and I made 2 attempts to do that. One involved letting them see my location (which purported to give me 2 hours for free) and the other involved scanning a QR code at various locations in the hall (which took me to a web page for auto parts...). You can park here for 2 - 3 hours for somewhere under $9 at worst. And so, we finally enter the actual food hall. It is sort of a maze of indoor 'alleys' where you find restaurant counters, plus a main indoor plaza area with seating and more restaurant counters. You can check the website for specific places, but they had burgers, pizza, sushi, gyros, Cuban sandwiches, Asian bao buns, a coffee place, Cajun food, some dessert-oriented outlets, etc. There is enough variety to please most any party. I was planning on getting a Philly, but the place I went had a special on a gyro-and-fries for $11, so I went with that. It was good. Others in our group got a selection of buns, gumbo, and sushi. Everyone seemed to like the food. As for seating, they have a large number of cafeteria-style long tables in the main plaza. It was crowded, but we were able to immediately find space for 4 people without feeling crowded by the next group down the table. Saturday around noon after youth sports events may be their peak time, but I don't know. While Marietta has plenty of restaurants, if you want a possibly quicker and cheaper option while visiting, this place may be worth checking out. read more

Marietta Square Market is a cute setting with lots of options! The farmers market has lots of vendors from food, crafts, and lots of plants! We decided on Cafe Eataly to eat due to their seating set up and it was so lovely! I'm so glad we gave it a try. The staff were so welcoming and helpful assisting to pick out our pasta combinations. It's essentially build your own- you get to pick your pasta type, sauce, and proteins, and all the pasta is handmade! The space is charming and inviting, and the pasta was delicious. Drive by this place on my way to my oncologist, but never stopped. Met a friend for dinner. Thought about eating, but wasn't hungry. My friend, however, was hungry. Location had about 15-20 different types of restaurants and multiple cuisines. She had Cuban food. She enjoyed it. Place is the best for groups with multiple picky eaters, gluten free, keto, carnivore, and vegan/vegetarian diets. Also has a wine bar and various restaurants serve alcohol. It was not quiet, but not noisy. It could be a date night as well as host a family birthday party. There were TVs at the wine bar for sports fans. I popped in here with my wife to surprise her with a nice easy dinner after a long day at work. She really loves the atmosphere of a food hall in general and I do too! The shops here are well kept, and the people around this area are really nice! We had a hot chocolate from one shop, and we got our main meal from the burger joint. We also got a cocktail from the bar! The burger was great, and so were the loaded nacho tater tots! We had a wonderful time overall! I would definitely give this place a try! I like Marietta Square Market (MSM). It's Marietta's version of Atlanta's Krog Street Market (KSM). Adaptive reuse developments like these have been popping up in major metropolitan areas across the country in recent years. MSM opened March 28, 2019. If you've ever been to KSM, which opened in 2014, the two food courts / food halls are similarly sized. At the time of writing this review, MSM has 17 food and beverage vendors. They offer a variety of cuisines from Cuban sandwiches to Japanese ramen. MSM is modern, clean, and, now entering its fourth year in business, it still looks new. I do like KSM better because I think KSM's restaurants and overall quality of vendors is better, but MSM is just fine for Marietta. It's a great addition to the city and in a great location just off of Marietta Square. For current parking info at MSM including a helpful map, visit: https://mariettasquaremarket.com/visit/. Two-hour free parking is located in lots directly surrounding the market. However, parking is often tight during peak times. I've only ever visited during lunchtime and the market has always been busy. Most of the time, when visiting MSM or Marietta Square, I park in the lot on Mill Street near North Marietta Parkway. Over the years, it's become increasingly difficult to find parking in the Mill Street lot. There are pay lots nearby too, so be sure to pay attention to posted signs. A lot of street parking in the immediate vicinity is free so that's an option also. Finally, watch your time because the two-hour parking lot limits are strictly enforced with tickets/fines. Shai Karr is the MSM outpost of nearby Thaicoon & Sushi Bar (Thai food and sushi). The Thai food my wife and I had here was outstanding. Try the Shai Karr curry. In Thai, "shai karr" refers to the roof on the side of a house that covers a patio where people cook and eat. 3. Just Loaf'N: https://www.yelp.com/biz/just-loafn-marietta-2 My rating: 5 out of 5 stars. I had an amazing oyster po' boy from Just Loaf'N. This stall specializes in Cajun food. Monday through Friday, there are $8.95 half po' boy lunch specials that include Cajun-seasoned fries and a canned drink. A lot of MSM's vendors are chains, most of which are local/regional. Examples of some of the local brands include D'Cuban Cafe, Ponko Chicken, Henri's Bakery & Deli, Lucky's Burger and Brew, Pita Mediterranean Street Food, and Ponko Chicken. An example of a national chain that made its way here is Cousins Maine Lobster. Grand Champion BBQ used to have a stall both here and previously, at KSM, but both are now closed. Grand Champion BBQ at MSM is now Smokehouse Q. Some of the only truly local businesses at MSM include the aforementioned Shai Karr Eatery from the Thaicoon owners (https://www.yelp.com/biz/thaicoon-marietta-marietta) and Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar, which had been established on the Square almost four years before MSM opened (Tiny Bubbles opened April 24, 2015: https://www.yelp.com/biz/tiny-bubbles-tea-bar-marietta-2). In this sense, MSM does feel more "chainy" than other adaptive reuse projects, but you get more of that (chains) in suburban settings in general, so that's just the way it goes. I don't live anywhere near Marietta Square Market, and my first introduction to this food hall was when an OTP Atlanta Yelp Elite event was held here a few months ago. Since then, I've returned, and it was a good experience. I've had two different parking experiences. I easily found parking at around 5 pm on a weekday, but, during my second parking experience, at around 7 pm on a weekday, parking wasn't easy to find, and it looked like valet people had commandeered much of the parking lot. I'm not sure what that was about, but it just surprised me that the whole parking lot wasn't free due to valet service claiming a big part of the free parking lot. We walked into Marietta Square Market and just walked through the food hall, looking at what looked good and quickly ruling out what we didn't want to eat. The food hall was about 75% full of people, most of them already seated in the main indoor dining area and at tables on the outside deck. I think Marietta Square Market is beautiful, with lots of wood detail, and a smaller dining area, separate from the main dining area, that has colorfully painted walls. The common areas are constantly kept clean by efficient employees. I really like this vibe: vibrant, lots of movement, noisy, and (mostly) friendly employees at all of the food stalls. The only one that didn't seem to have friendly and welcoming customers was the one that I immediately ruled out. I didn't feel like having bbq tonight anyway. Burgers, pizza, Cuban food, crepes, Japanese, Mexican, Cajun, ice cream, bakery and deli, Philly cheesesteaks, Mediterranean, Korean, Thai, tea bar, Japanese fusion, bbq, and a bar are all here. During my initial experience here, at the Yelp Elite event, I and my fellow Yelpers were treated to food samples directly from 12 of the food vendors, which wasn't even all of vendors, and the food we had were great! I honestly liked all of the food, so I knew that wherever we got food from was going to be delicious. And it was - we ended up at Momoiro for ramen, a rice bowl and spam onigiri. This place was awesome! Definitely going back! The first place we had was "Taste of New Orleans" and it was so freaking amazing! We got a soft shell crab po boy, which was out of this world. The crab was so crispy, it actually broke a bracket of mine on my braces LOL. Wasn't hard though, just crispy and had so many flavors that went well together. Then we had some drinks from Fornovero which were just alright. They added a huge ice cube which watered down the whole drink in like 7 to 10 min. Last we ate some bao buns from Momoiro and they were soooo good' the buns were so soft, never had them like that before. But they were sweet and the crispy chicken went so well with it because it was kind of sweet too. I didn't like the beef too much, I think the chicken was definitely better. Came here for dinner and still as impressed as I was the first time I came here. It seems like there was trivia on Thursday nights as the parking lot and indoor area was full! Parking is validated by the way, you just need to "pay" and put your credit card info and there's a code posted where you decide to order your food from that you can enter to validate parking. We went to Henri and crème de la crème There's outside seating and inside seating. It was a nice day so we got our crepes and headed outside. Finished it off with a lemon chess pie from Henri's. So let's just say. The food hall is giving amazing food hall vibes. This place is clean, and the aromas from all the restaurants is everything. This makes it hard to decide on what to select. They have a variety of choices to meet all needs. I've been here twice so far and today Cafe Bourbon is top of the list. The service is pretty good with the few restaurants we've ordered from. The inside is what you would expect, bench style open seating. There are lot of choices in different types of food. Great if you have a family with children as it's noisy and they can run around and enjoy themselves. We have been to food halls before and been very impressed with not only the selection of foods but the quality. We had Smokehouse Q ribs and chicken. It was ok. We also had the pork buns from Momoirio Ramen, I wouldn't get again. Finally we half a Cuban sandwich, 1 tequeno and fried plantains from D'Cuban Cafe. The plantains were good, the tequeno was cold and the Cuban was probably the worst I've had. Tasted like cardboard. The bar in the middle was good, the bartender friendly. Many of the food stalls did not have live people taking orders and you couldn't tell if they were open.... On a Friday night. Overall I would say this is a destination for travelers. The pulled pork plate was a recommended item and came with two sides. I would recommend the baked beans and Mac n cheese. The parking was easy to access, free and plenty of spots available. It's loud and very kid friendly around the whole area. Outdoor seating is available with patio heaters when cold. Overall, this is a great spot in a neat and clean little town. I love that there's so much variety in Marietta Square! I go there for Henri's coffee, Panko chicken (BOMB! Make sure to eat it right away though!), and the Pudding from the barbecue place. My dad loves the Poke place there, they offer a Korean bbq bowl option! We are a big fans of Korean food. 4 stars because not everything I tried there was amazing. The lobster roll was mediocre and overpriced. The parking can be hectic sometimes and I've seen a car that dents/scratches other cars and they just run away. You have to be careful especially during Farmer's Market weekend. I am pretty excited about the new restaurant that just opened up! It's pretty popular in ATL! My family and I LOVE this place! Tons of parking outside (you can pay online and some restaurants validate your parking when you dine with them). Only a short walk from the Marietta Square and Marietta History Musuem. Also, shares a parking lot next to the William Root House. They have a large variety of places to eat here from vegan, Asian, Cuban, pizza, BBQ, all American, bubble tea and more. They have community seating available on large picnic tables. It gets pretty busy on weekends and even though you can bring a stroller, it gets pretty packed walking through the halls and a bit difficult to walk with a stroller. I'm not sure if pets are allowed inside but I've seen quite a few guests walk in with their dogs on leashes. We LOVE Siete Tacos and Margaritas - they offer inside seating at their restaurant and you can purchase drinks to-go. We love the iced cafe con leche and empanadas over at D'Cuban. Pulled Pork Sandwiches from Smokehouse Q are delicious! My kids love the corn dogs and fries from Lucky's. read more

Living just a half mile walk from the Market is both dangerous and delightful! It's so easy to talk myself out of cooking so we can trek up there. While I appreciate following suit of the Krog Street Markets or Ponce City Market business model, it makes me sad that everything in here is so "safe". Not a lot of fusion restaurants or variety. Everything is very traditional. Traditional sushi. Traditional Cuban. Traditional burgers. You get the point. And maybe this is a product of living OTP, but growing accustomed to a lot of the ITP fun and daring menus. The facilities are clean and the facilities staff are always present and attentive when I'm there. The market is doing what they can to keep people socially distanced, though many of the patrons do not follow the rules. The outdoor space is nice and perfect for allowing my two year old to run around. While I know they do (did) host trivia, I'm interested in seeing some more events. I especially loved the Grinch at the Market last year around the holidays. All in all, great concept. We visited for lunch on Saturday, and the place was hopping. Definitely lucked out with a table on the covered patio which was awesome because it started to rain but we were all safe and dry. This place reminds me of Krog street market. Same concept. You walk around and choose from the available food stalls. It's something for everyone. Lighting up the food scene with upwards of 18 different spots under one roof, Marietta Square Market has been a solid spot for hungry bellies for a few years now...and lucky for us it shows no sign of slowing down! MSM sits along the Marietta Parkway side of the square and while it isn't in the middle of the square, it is still an easily walkable destination from anywhere around the downtown area. Marietta Square is a true food hall with majority of the 18 restaurants being "stalls" and counters with no seating. There are two dining areas around the food hall with the large one at the entrance and then a smaller space in the back. You can also find high-tops and standing/window shelves scattered around as well. There are a few restaurants such as Forno, Lucky's, Henri's and Siete that have their own dedicated seating. Additionally, they do have outside seating on the connected patio and even have a few picnic tables out front in the lot. Parking is plentiful around the market and square. There are small dedicated lots for the market that are complimentary, but if you are unable to snag one of these coveted spots then there are plenty of pay lots scattered around and even some street parking. Currently as of October 2021 there are 18 food and drink spots here.
