While staying in Baltimore I visited Chef BobbyD Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The décor was modern, the color scheme was tamed and attractive, and the furniture was simplistic. It was the total opposite of what I've seen at other Caribbean restaurants which was absolutely refreshing. I ordered baked stuff shrimp with mash potatoes. I must admit that I was worried at first about the stock used in the sauce because it is prepped with shallots. However, after speaking with the owner about the stock preparation I tried the sauce and did not encounter any problems. The shrimp were tasty, and the crab stuffing was seasoned just right. I mean, no exaggeration, on the drive home tonight, my husband and I agreed Chef Bobby D's was some of the best food we've had not only since moving to Bmore almost 2 years ago, but ever. We started with the wings (half jerk and half sweet chili.) Smoky, spicy, fresh, and exploding with flavor. We couldn't even talk while eating them. And as a fellow West Indian, I can say he jerked those wings perfectly! For entrees, I had the Barbacoa stew beef bowl and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Everything was fresh and perfectly balanced in flavor. Adding to our excellent culinary experience was the Chef himself. I could not wait to try Bobby D's restaurant. OMG !!the jerk wings had a spicy kick with the jerk flavor. I asked for blue cheese to dip the wings, but I didn't use it because I wanted to taste all the flavor. The ribs were falling off the bone and delicious. My daughter had the blackened chicken pasta. She said had a good flavor and just enough sauce. Oh the cajun corn was also delicious. Vegetable medley was crispy and not over cooked. This restaurant was excellent!! We found this great little place on Yelp when we went to Towson University. We ordered Cajun shrimp and grits, lobster bisque, Hawaiian salmon and ribs and wings. We enjoyed every bite!! The Cajun shrimp and grits were the best I have ever eaten! The shrimp was so fresh and the balance of the creamy sauce and spice were just perfect!!! We LOVED it so much!! THIS FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!! Came here on a Saturday evening, it was just us and food was served timely and HOT! Not sure if the chef was by himself but everyone I was with loved their food!! I can't believe I didn't know this place was here! I went originally to get a juice but it was closed so I spoke with the chef/proprietor and he helped me find a healthy pre-work out snack. Let me preface this with saying how much of a wing fanatic I am. I love love love wings. This is now my favorite wing place. I got the buffalo wings and chef Bobby D chars them to perfection. They were delicious, and the meat just slid right off the bone. I also had the shrimp and grits, and it was my favorite meal that I've had in my ten years in Baltimore. My husband had the corned beef sandwich with home fries, and he enjoyed it very much. I am going to take my mom who has celiacs here since their jerk sauce is gluten free. More people need to come here and appreciate how awesome this place is! Also, the service is great and chef Bobby D is very welcoming and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. read more

I stumbled across this place when looking for some food near my son's soccer practice. I got ribs and wings. The ribs were delicious! So tender and flavorful! Wings were good too. The food was delicious. The chef came out and talked to me about my food allergies and then prepared a dinner for me to accommodate my allergies. I just tasted the bbq ribs and wings. The wings are good and the ribs are really fantastic. This place is 10min walk from my place but I haven't notice it until last month. The ribs is at the highest level among peers. The material is fresh and flavors are balanced. Thick and rich, but not too salty nor too dry. The menu is well designed with a concise but whole collection of popular new American cuisine. When I stopped by a CVS downstairs of my place with the takeaway food, the staff complained about the great smell that make them hungry. I would recommend this place my friends. read more

We had the Ribs and Wing combo with Mac-n-cheese ( baked with real cheese ,not the stuff that tastes like it came from a box like a lot of other places) cajun corn ( sweet corn with a mild cajun kick) sweet potato tots, and mixed veggies. The meat on the ribs fell off the bones and the sauce was terrific. The Jerk wings taste great. Sweet with a spicy after flavor. But not so hot you need to soak your tongue with milk for an hour. Best wings in Baltimore. They're smoked and sauced perfectly. No breading, not deep fried, just smoked to perfection. The sweet chili and honey bbq are my favorite. The staff is also incredibly friendly. There are a few tables for seating (I typically order carry out). And if you are in the mood for a healthy treat, the smoothies are fabulous. There's quite the variety too and many of the green smoothies are paleo friendly (if you're into that kind of thing). Definitely DO NOT sleep on this place, it's the real deal. read more

We live right down the street and we LOVE the wings here. So much more interesting than your standard hot wings! They're hot, juicy, and well-seasoned. This spot just recently opened and I was happy to try it for lunch. Pretty extensive menu of sandwiches, wraps and entrees and delicious sides. I enjoyed the corned beef sandwich quite a bit and my side of mac and cheese was delicious. Look forward to trying the juice bar options (and acai bowls) when that part gets up and running.
