The crepes were delicious and it's fun to watch Chef cook! The ordering and paying process is not typical to other food trucks in the area/state. It's hard to describe, but overall it's confusing to determine whose turn it is to order and when to pay. The clam chowder is the best we've ever had, anywhere!! We were driving north, and drove by this trailer, and talked about for the next few minutes- decided we better turn around and give it a try. WOW! Are we ever glad we did. The good size containers were packed with clams, and SO delicious! Sat at a picnic table, and enjoyed every last morsel. The food is meh, nothing special. Yeah, there aren't many options in the area, but the food at this place isn't anything special. Add to this, the really unappealing character of the 'chef' and you're better off finding another place to eat. The only positive is the poor assistant that seemed like he was trying everything he could to compensate for his boss's abrupt attitude. I hope he's well paid. FYI 'chef' - posting a sign that warns us of your poor character really doesn't excuse you from being a world-class grouch - you're in the hospitality business, do better! read more

We stopped here for lunch in 2021 and 2022 on our way to drop our kids off at summer camp. What a great break from driving and such fun food to eat! There are a few picnic tables near the food truck, which are perfect. My husband and I each get one savory crêpe, and then split a sweet one for dessert. According to some other reviews, the owner has been quite rude. That didn't happen to us either time we were there though. There's a porta potty there, too, which was super helpful because we still had a ways to drive. I also noticed that someone said the crêpes are made in the morning and are soggy by the time you get to eat them. In our case both times, the crêpes were made fresh right while I was standing there waiting. Our kids are real stinkers about food, so they brought their own lunch. But Chef Jacques didn't mind that they were eating their own food at his picnic tables with us! We look forward to stopping by again on our way up the Maine coast in summer 2023! read more

I've been driving by this food truck/trailer for months! I've been wanting to stop in and today was the PERFECT day to do so...it truly just happened as a last minute decision. I had to turn around in a parking lot to come back and I'm sooo glad I did! The service was fantastic and friendly, the food delicious! I'm so happy he had gluten free crepes!! I opted for the "Breakfast Crepe" with bacon and a cup of coffee. Yummm! Just enough. One woman was here with her toddler and leaving as I arrived, it was her first visit. The best crêpe I ever had! When we go to Maine for family vacation every year, Chef Jacques crêpe wagon is one of our let's go to destinations! He also offers the best clam chowder ever. On top of that chef jocks is an incredible man and so friendly. After buying the crêpes from the food truck, you sit down on some picnic benches in a beautiful wooded area that is located on. He actually came out to chat with us and is a nice Person. With all his customers, he remembered us from the previous year! Really made our day. read more

my sister and I drove an hour and a half, because we heard how good Chef Jacques crêpes were and they weren't lying! Talk about savory the monte Cristo crêpe, made it worth the trip and throw in the Maine berries, crêpe for dessert and we were hooked! So, there's definitely a reason that this place is the only food truck in town that doesn't have a line around the block in the summer. It is as awful as the owner, who is incredibly rude and doesn't make his crepes fresh but instead makes them all in the morning and let's them sit all day. Grooooooss. Can not recommend. Absolutely would NOT recommend. The owner was very rude to my mother who is disabled with a cane. When she was surprised after waiting in line for a long time that the crepes were sold out, the owner said, exact quote: "you can't go hobbling around and not talk to the chef." As if we were supposed to come from the back of the line and ask if he expected to have crepes left for us. Which is absolutely ridiculous. We recognize he's doing his best and we just wanted to know if we needed to leave and find food elsewhere and he berated my disabled mother. Totally discriminatory and ridiculously rude. Even if the crepes are amazing- which we can't tell you since he yelled at us before we could even attempt to try - we will not be returning to someone who clearly is ableist and needs to get his attitude in check before he discriminated against more people. read more

I don't understand where these negative reviews are coming from. We have been multiple times and the food is fabulous and you can't ask for better service. He is the sweetest man ever and will happily joke and talk your ear off for an hour. He surprised us and went out of his way to deliver our food right to our table. Maybe people took his humor wrong? He's a very jovial man who is always joking. We love him and his food so much we plan to hire him to cater our daughter's birthday. Food suggestions: The seafood chowder is amazing and all the good stuff with no potato filler. All the crepes? Lol too vague? My favorite is London Broil. OMG I'm so sad I have to wait for spring for that crepe. Apart from the chowder (for obvious reasons) every time I have visited things have been made to order. We have brought friends and family multiple times and everyone loved their food and their time chatting with the chef. It's only him, so he does get a line at peak hours but he's usually chatting away and making jokes with all the people in line so the time flies. As with all food trucks, if you come later in the day he might be sold out of things. If you're still not sold head over to FB and read those reviews. Side note: My only negative has absolutely nothing to do with the chef or his food but it's worth warning people about. I wandered back by the willow tree to nurse my daughter only to look down and find no less than 30 mosquitos on my legs at one time. I was extremely disappointed in the service at Chef Jacques Crepe wagon. We waited patiently to be served but the owner continued to ignore us. After about 20 mins of being ignored we Asked him if We could place our order and He responded that we didn't seem excited about crepes and he wouldn't be serving us. The strangest part is that he never stopped long enough to talk to us in order to know if we were excited to try his food.
