I ordered a sandwich to be delivered from Rosalie & Phil's for lunch. The menu had lots of great options including Piadinas. I had a hard time deciding which sandwich to order. I ended up going with Turkey and the sandwich was huge. They offer lots of ways to customize your sandwich which I appreciated. The pricing is affordable especially for the quality and size of the sandwich. Ordering went smoothly and when it arrived the sandwich was so tasty. It wasn't soggy at all and all the ingredients were fresh. I would highly recommend checking out this sandwich shop when in the area. I was looking for a quick bite while shopping in downtown York, so I decided to check out Rosalie & Phil's. I was surprised by the menu, which resembled what you would typically find at a sandwich shop in Rome, but also includes Moe's sandwiches. I was kind of shocked by how authentically Italian it looked inside, plus the two young men behind the counter had thick Italian accents. They were very helpful in explaining the menu to me. The prices were a little steep for a sandwich shop, but that's expected from an up-and-coming touristy town like York. I really like that the sandwich shop was located right on the beach and has outdoor seating. While there was also indoor seating, it was very no-frills. As for the food, it was extremely fresh. I had just the right ratio of mozzarella, tomato, and veggies. They drizzled a bit of balsamic on the top for some extra flavor, which the sandwich definitely needed. Lobed this little shop and wish I had time to stop in again! They offer a variety of sandwiches, cake slices, gelato, sorbet, bottled drinks and chips. Order at the they counter. There is a small seating counter along one wall inside and bistro tables outside. I ordered a tuna with my choice of veggies. The tuna was high quality albacore mixed with just the right amount of dressing. Bread was nice and soft. Veggies fresh. The staff was very friendly. Restaurant clean. The hubby and I stopped here for an Italian sandwich. This place has owned and operated by Italians who make everything from scratch. Cut all their meat fresh. Everything is fresh. The bread is made fresh daily. The sandwiches are delicious. The prices are average. The portion size is perfect. The service is great. Cute little shop right on the corner. I work nearby and wanted to grab something for dinner on my way home. I ordered online for a meatball sub and pastrami sub. Easy peasy. Walked there (less than five minutes), was greeted by Phil. He had another order ready for a family already waiting. No biggie. Gave me my order with a huge smile and a thank you. The place is small and better for takeout than eating in. But it was clean and neat. Got home, ate my meatball sub. It was absolutely delicious. Lots of meatballs in it, lots of sauce, the bread was fresh and the cheese was perfect. Didn't get a photo of my husband's before he ate it, but he loved his pastrami sub and told me to definitely go back again for more. read more

One word....Wow! Great Italian and Tuna. The rolls are great. Filled, but not overfilled. Very tasty. Great visit. Owner is very, very nice. Thankfully, they're there year round. Many locals attending during the dead of winter. It's that good. read more

Rosalie & Phil's 9-8-25 This small Sandwich Shop is in the heart of Yorks Beach area. Its small but clean and neatly organized with counter seating along the one wall. Walk up to the counter and order from the menu on the front of the counter. All Sandwiches are made fresh to order. They even have Gluten free sandwiches. You may have to wait as Maryellen makes everyone in front of you. Trust me it's well worth the wait. These Sandwiches (we call them Subs where I live) are the best. We both ordered the Ham Sandwich which consisted of Ham, Provolone, Freshly Sliced Onion, Green Pepper, Pickle, Tomato, Black Olive, and your choice of Dressing I choose Mayo. These sandwiches are on what we call a long Sub Rolls. Every single item on my Sandwich tasted fresh and was overflowing with ingredients. Also the roll was so fresh it was the best I ever had. I wish this kind of Sandwich Shop was in my neck of the woods I would be there every day. You can eat inside but we loved the tables outside and that's where we ate. If I could give this wonderful place 10 stars, I would!!! I needed some red sauce - just sauce - so I went over to see if they would sell me some. The gentleman that was there seemed a little surprised and said he'd give me some except that they were out. He asked me to come back in 45 minutes because he'd have more. I returned, he remembered me and gave me a good pint of sauce - for nothing!!! Such a nice guy! definitely going back and buying lunch tomorrow. if you're at Short Sands make sure you stop in.
