Back to Chef Jeff's two weeks ago. Burgers, fries, onion rings and sodas for two people was about $34, which IMO is a good price. I don't understand the review that said his single burger meal was $30. We (2 of us) think this is the best burger place we've ever been to, and even tho we live in Antioch, we eat out in the Sacramento/Folsom area often. The burgers are flavorful and juicy, buns are fresh, and fries and onion rings awesome. Service is excellent, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, as stated before, and the place is clean. Dine in and delivery review let's get into it! OK so sometimes I will make a review off my first time because it was either a hit or Miss .... sometimes I wait to make a review just to make sure I am being honest and giving authentic opinions. I have dined in twice and ordered on DoorDash once. OK so for dining review it is a small storefront. There's a few parking spaces in the front . there's table seating inside. It's a very small storefront , but it looks clean inside . The waiters and workers were very polite . the burgers are the reason why I waited to make my review is because I wanted to make sure that I was giving my honest opinion so overall I give them a four out of five if you are a meat lover you appreciate good quality meat whether it is steak chicken hamburger Philly cheesesteak ect . I've seen alot of other different reviews and I will say this ! the burgers are good. They don't need to be overly seasoned because it's good quality meat. You also get good quality bread and ingredients! Even the onion rings were thick cut ! you can tell not frozen premade onion rings . They are very hearty and accommodating with the toppings that you ask for I always get a double smash with extra cheese, mushrooms and grilled onions and they never disappoint whether I'm walking into the store or ordering it for Delivery. I would definitely recommend this burger spot if you're a simple person that likes a good burger that doesn't need all the fancy fixings but still appreciate a good quality burger. I will definitely recommend coming to this place. The fries are good. They have combo deals. Definitely give them a try. Remember GOOD MEAT DOESNT NEED TO BE EXTRA SEASONED OR SALTY ! On a referral from a former friend, I had a double burger, fries and a shake. $30! First, $30 for a burger I shouldn't be squeezing ketchup and mustard from packets. Second, the burger was nothing to write home about. The meat was ok, but the overall burger was bland, greasy as hell, and totally disintegrated. I didn't want to finish the last three bites, but at $30, I'll be damned I let the garbage eat it. I should have eaten the plastic basket it was served in, paper too. Third, the fries were shoestring fries from Costco you can fix at home. Fourth, I think the shake at one time had milk in it, but quickly turned to water before I could finish it. For $30 I'd rather have Whataburger, In/Out, Shake Shack, Red Robin, hell Burger King, 311 I could of had a beer with the bomb burgers they serve for that price, along with fruit flys, for another review...and no comparison to the old Phatt Burgers in the day... I have heard about this place from a few people and decided to try it out today since I was passing through the area. I absolutely loved everything about this burger it's the best burger I have ever had at a restaurant before. The single patty smash burger was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the edges and juicy in the middle the burger was so big it had an extra inch or so over lapping the bun . I added mushrooms and fresh Jalapeños for just $1 more. This is the second time we've eaten from this establishment but this time we dined in. The burgers are huge and made super fresh. They are delicious and very filling. We opted 1 order with fries & other with onion rings with our orders. We loved their onion rings nice crispy on the outside & soft juicy on inside. Their sauce was really tasty. Smash Burgers was very nice & filling nice generous portions of fries overall we loved it. The mushrooms made the burger saltier so if we go back, I won't ask for mushrooms overall. Their onion rings were okay as were their fries. I don't usually give out 1-star reviews because I understand mistakes happen, but customer service is something I take seriously and this experience really missed the mark. My order was entered incorrectly, and I didn't realize until I got all the way home. I had to drive another 15 minutes back (30 minutes round trip) just to get it fixed because of their mistake. When I returned, they did apologize and initially told me I could keep the incorrect order, but then took it back anyway to throw it out, which was frustrating and confusing. On top of that, I was still charged the price difference, even though the error was on their end. To make matters worse, the remade burger still tasted like jalapeños, which makes me think it may not have been prepared carefully or separately from the original mistake. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Between the extra driving, being charged more, the mixed messaging, and the quality issue even after the remake, it felt like the bare minimum was done with no real effort to make up for the inconvenience. After a few visits, I told the owner I did not want to inform people about this eatery because it has almost everything I could want in a restaurant. Probably not since your grandmother made you a hamburger sitting in her kitchen without AC. This hamburger was so fresh that they had to wrap it in aluminum foil so you would not burn your fingers trying to consume it when it arrived. You know it's hot, but you'll try to eat it anyway. The meat is incredible; you don't need to add anything. This burger was truly made with love--love of cooking, love of ingredients, and love of pleasing the customer. Mr. Chimetime from TikTok would say this is a 10 out of 10 This is a tiny business. It is a great spot to introduce the family to good old-fashioned burgers on a weekend outing, for young kids after school or practice, or for seniors to enjoy in the middle of the day, If you remember Hazel's or Jerry's Hotdogs or our trips to a Big Boy restaurant, this is a spot for you.
