Linguica sandwich ($16) and ground beef pastel ($6).

This review is for their food truck near Pleasant Hill BART station, not their restaurant in Brentwood. I stopped by around 11:45 am yesterday (Thursday) and there was NO ONE there. I was unfamiliar with the menu, so I asked the person at the cash register for a recommendation - she recommended the Rico Everything gourmet burger. I was about to order it, when I spotted a picture of something I adore - linguica sausage, piled appetizingly high on a roll - on their menu. Sold! She was surprised I changed my mind so abruptly, and even more surprised when I added - "I'll also have one ground beef pastel, no cheese. Is that like an empanada?" "Yes, kind of." Perfect. I'd have time to eat at least one of the two before my 12:30 meeting back at the office. The crowd showed up around noon. There were 10-15 people in line within the space of two minutes, a few with their canine companions. I watched the dogs sniff at each other (much more interesting than people-watching), killing time, which was a good thing because my order took FOREVER. Finally, I got my food around 12:20 and barely made it back in time for my meeting. An hour later, meeting over, I ate the pastel and half my sandwich at room temperature, not wanting to heat up either in the microwave. Pity, because I didn't enjoy either. Later that evening, I nuked up the other half of the linguica sandwich, and it didn't improve. Won't be going back to this food truck anytime soon.

Literally just from walking from the Food truck to my unit the burger dripped a ton of grease and overpowered the taste of the burger.

Second time ordering here since they've been parked at our apartment complex and i don't think i plan to order much more. Food is really pricey in my opinion and the food comes out really greasy. The first time i got the steak sandwich which was a HUGE serving and i was happy with it. I couldn't finish it so this second time around i decided to get a burger instead. It got SUPER soggy pretty quickly and it was hard to eat because of how greasy it was. It made me feel sick taking bites out of it. I probably only took like a good 4-5 bites out of it before i decided to just toss it unfortunately. The tray even had a ton to grease that dripped from the burger. Considering a burger costs $16 and i got fries and a drink and i left a tip which means my dinner was $30. for how pricey this meal was this is likely my last time ordering from here which is a bummer because of the convenience aspect of it.

Riko Everything Burger! It was so good, I only remembered to take a picture half way through..

I was really excited to go to have a Brazilian Burger and Riko's didn't disappoint! Delish, authentic Brazilian Everything Burger. The pastel and coxinha are also fantastic. Riko's everything burger, and the banana and caramel pastel are a must! Also the guys are amazing and super friendly, typical brazilians. If you want an authentic brazilian burger experience, You need to come here! Obrigado, galera!

The churros are everything! Their service is great! They'll even bring you your order once it's ready. Plus the food is really good.

I am writing this as I wait for my food. I ordered at 6:57PM, it is now 7:58PM. I don't care about the food now, it will be cold by the time I walk back to my apartment. There's no reason why 3 burgers should take 60+ minutes. I was excited about this truck coming to my apartment. It is 49 degrees outside and getting colder.

    Where's the filling!?

Carnitas were super dry almost like jerky. The corn in a cup needed seasoning like tajin and lime, it was just hot corn topped with a huge dallop of mayo with some cojita.

Their three taco combo, featuring chicken, pastor, and asada, is a testament to their commitment to quality and flavor. The chicken was succulent and well-seasoned, the pastor was perfectly marinated with a delightful char, and the asada was tender and juicy. Each bite was a burst of flavor, complemented by the fresh cilantro, onions, and lime. The street corn bowl was another standout. The corn was cooked to perfection, coated in a creamy and tangy sauce, and topped with cotija cheese and chili powder. The combination of textures and flavors was simply irresistible. The red and green sauces added an extra dimension of spice and flavor to the tacos and corn. The red sauce was bold and fiery, while the green sauce was slightly milder with a refreshing citrusy note. The service at Azteca Street Taco was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. The prices are also very reasonable, making it an affordable option for a delicious and authentic meal. If you're craving authentic Mexican street food, Azteca Street Taco is a must-try. Their commitment to quality ingredients and bold flavors is evident in every bite. Ambiance was great looking over the lake today.

Needless to say, Dad's hit the levels of ALL AROUND DELICIOUS~NESS ! From the moment I walked through the door.... INSTANT AEROMATIC BBQ LOVE slapped me ever so delicately as I floated to the counter to order. My side eye caught the HomeMade Banana Pudding, Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pies! My focus was tested yet I managed to regain my thoughts and place our orders. One thing for certain, the meats were all juicy and tender! That MAC SLAPPED and the other sides DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I can't wait to go back and get another dose and try the Potato Salad, Moms Gumbo and the Desserts. They also make thier own Sweet Tea and Kool Aid. Dad's BBQ has been in business for 26years and was awarded the Key to the City in 2024. Take my advise and don't skip on this spot in Antioch

My thing last time was just hating how everything, & I mean everything, was drenched in sauce. Swimming. So this time, requested for the sauce to be on the side. I got a combo plate: Chicken, Tri-tip, green beans, greens, and the medium sauce on the side. Chicken: A bit dry, but it was okay - just lacks flavor without the sauce. Tri-tip: Dry, chewy, bouncy, and lacks flavor, similarly to the chicken. Greens & green beans: They were decent! I actually really like the green beans a lot & ate it fairly quick! The flavor was there. The veggies (all of them) were cooked at the right consistency, not too soft, not too firm! The bread that it comes with: 2 slices of (what seems to be) wheat bread, a fork, and napkins, in a ziplock bag... The sauce: the sauce is good! It's got a decent kick to it! And the flavor is also alright. Service: service was good and straight forward. I also received the food quickly. Portions: I received a full plate, and I couldn't ask for more! It was packed in there! Overall, despite the positives, the negatives outweigh it. The main thing I came for was the meat, and was highly disappointed by it. If I need sauce to make it better (which didn't make it much better, considering how dry the meat itself was), then the BBQ isn't good. Thankfully the sides were great & portions were big, and service was also a plus, the main reason I decided to order was a flop. The quality of the meat or how it is cooked was disappointing.

There were tables and chairs in the area so you could sit, eat and enjoy your meal...even do a little people watching lol. I walked around to all the Food Trucks present and decided on this one. The young lady at the order window was very polite, helpful and she greeted me with a smile. I'm a Type 2 Diabetic and I have a lot of food allergies so, I have to be careful what I eat. She seemed to understand and happy to answer the questions I had about their Barbeque Tri Tip Sandwich. I had Tri Tip Friday in Brentwood at the Juneteenth Celebration in Brentwood CA - Made by Dad's Barbecue, I waited eman excess of 35 minutes for my order. It had very little meat cut in strips, most was gristle and it was tough like jerky!! My wait at Loretta's Kitchen Food Truck was very minimal @ 8 mins max. Loretta's Kitchen puts Dad's Barbecue to shame!!!! My Tri Tip Sandwich from Loretta's Kitchen was on a Large nicely grilled Sesame Hamburger Bun. It came with Thinly sliced Tri Tip, Colby Jack Cheese and Barbecue sauce which I had on the side, until I was sure I could handle it. The Tri Tip was well seasoned, lean, gristle free and super tender!!!!! It was Fresh, Delicious and very filling. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Loretta's Kitchen for a pleasant 1st time experience with your Food Truck, I'd highly recommend them. No more Dad's Barbecue for me!!!!! I'll be following Loretta's Kitchen indeed.. P.S.
