First time trying PC Restaurant!…read more I didn't feel like eating alone so I ordered online for takeout. The online ordering was super easy. Browsing their menu online, they seemed to have a weekday lunch special at a reasonable price with a pretty good amount of food. You can choose one rice option (regular or fried rice) and one soup option (Egg Flower or Hot & Sour). I know it is pretty basic Chinese restaurant you can find anywhere in the States... The app said my order would be ready in about 15 minutes, but I ended up getting there later because I had something else to take care of. I was a little worried the food might be cold by the time I arrived. But when I got there, the person working there (I'm guessing the owner) asked how spicy I wanted it and made a fresh batch in about 2 minutes before packing everything up. Really nice touch! The staff was friendly, and the food was still nice and hot. As for the taste, it's pretty much what you'd expect from any typical Chinese restaurant. Nothing super unique, but definitely familiar. I had the egg flower soup first. It was nice and comforting before the meal. For the General Tso's chicken, I chose level 3 out of 5 for the spice, and it was just right for me. Overall, nothing mind-blowing, but there was something nostalgic about the whole meal. It kind of tasted like the Chinese food I remember from years ago. One funny thing I noticed from the reviews... they have Pad Thai here too ;) A few people seem to like it, so now I'm kind of curious. Might have to try that next time.

Portions are huge and much larger than other nearby places. I'm a fan of their general tso (better than the orange) chicken, while my friends love the seven flavor beef. They also have a full range of classics. The beef chow fun was decent but not as good as places in the CID. But I remind myself that I am in Bothell and it's good to have options!

I read an article comparing Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, and Subway, tuna sandwiches. Great review…read more Super high praise for Jimmy John's, everything from the fantastic tuna to the bread being the best. In the photos the regular sandwich from JJ was beautiful. Much larger than Subway and more impressive than Jersey Mike's. My husband loves tuna sandwiches and as both Subway and Jersey Mike's are much closer to our home, we eat these often. Tonight we decided to drive across town to try Jimmy John's. We were so excited to try the tuna sandwich based on the review. What could go wrong? It sounded far superior. I considered getting the Little John, but didn't like the look if the thin bread, so I opted for the regular roast beef. All I can guess is that they used the Little John bread. The fully made sandwich was barely 2" across, super thin. You can see my ruler in the photos. It did taste good, but that's where the good ends. The tuna sandwich was also 2" wide when fully prepared. Granted we avoided lettuce do to recent issue with bacteria (not at JJ's but why chance it.) I don't think lettuce would have made the sandwich any wider. The tuna was almost inedible. After trying all three chains, this was by far the worst. It was dry and hardly enough to cover the bread. Nothing like the pictures in the article. Also, the menu board said that it comes with provolone. There was no cheese on the sandwich. Actually, this worked out because my husband doesn't like cheese, but he was just going to pull it off. That said, if someone wanted the cheese, they would not have received it. While friendly, service was painfully slow. I will preface that we were the only ones there and they didn't seem to be making any to go orders. Despite this, they stood around chatting awhile before ever even starting on our order. This was just extremely disappointing after making a special effort to go there based on a glowing review which we can only assume was written by Jimmy John's marketing, an owner, or other executive. It is a complete misrepresentation of the product and that of the competition.

I had the Seattle location saved on my bookmarks but then while working nearby the Lynnwood event…read morecenter, I saw that there was a Lynnwood location. I immediately decided that was where my last dinner at Lynnwood would be at. My boyfriend was already excited as he loves loco mocos and he had mentioned he was craving it. We walked over there and when we entered, we were greeted warmly before being lead to our seats with menus in our hands. My boyfriend got the build your own loco moco with the Hawaiian fried rice and katsu chicken while I got their Sunday only special, Hawaiian plate. The service here was very friendly and courteous, I feel like we could have been checked on more but other than the servers here were great! The music was chill island music which fit the interior and vibes. We were given our waters and waited a fair amount for our delicious and generous serving of food to arrive. My boyfriend said it wasn't the best loco moco he's had but he wants to give a try with the hamburger patty. I enjoyed most of my Hawaiian plate but the lomi salmon was extremely salty that I could barely enjoy it and the Kalua Pig was just okay. However, the Pork Lau Lau was absolutely tender and delicious. I loved it so much and am confused why I don't see it on their regular menu. We ended up getting dessert too as I needed something sweet after how salty the lomi was and the guava cake was not only huge but absolutely some of the best dessert that I've ever had. My boyfriend and I were absolutely pleased with this being our final meal in Lynnwood before heading home. We definitely want to come back to either location to try out their other offerings as well.
