Came here on a sleepy Sunday for some comfort food. I've been here before but it's much better established now, with quaint, lived-in decor. The server was incredibly friendly and eager to help. I was the only person in the shop at the time but still it was nice. Ordered egg rolls to start. They were tasty, but a bit oily if that bothers you. For en entree I had Empress Chicken. By far, Wong is one the best local Asian takeout restaurant in CR. Not much in decor or seating, but the food is good. Veggies are cooked hot and chrisp as they should be. read more

This is definitely my favorite Chinese food restaurant in CR. Most of the time I use the Beyond Menu app to have it delivered, Bc lets be honest. By the time I'm dying for some Chinese food, I'm feeling hella lazy and don't want to drive. But when I pop in to order, they are always very friendly. Food always arrives hot. My order has never been wrong. Egg rolls, rangoons and dumplings are amazing. Just remember that they are closed from 2:30-4:30 so if you want to eat early you might hit a snag. Chef Wong Chinese Restaurant is my new "go to" Chinese restaurant. I was invited by a friend and I was reluctant to go(I typically eat at Mandarin Spice)... but am so glad I joined her! Everything we had was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the Dong Fen noodles with vegetables... Dong Fen was described in the menu as green bean noodles but to me were more like glass noodles. That menu indicated this dish was hot and spicy, but I would describe it as tasty and not spicy. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and answered all of our questions about the menu. The restaurant recently opened up, and they are in the process of some remodeling. I look forward to it being completed As the restaurant could use some updates. Overall, very highly recommended, and it's my new favorite Chinese food in town! read more

I'm pregnant and wanted hot and sour soup so badly. I ordered a large. Most hot and sour soup I've had has been pretty universal and tasted about the same. This soup had large chunks of celery and onion in it. It also looked like chicken noodle soup rather than hot and sour. I was so upset I spent money on this. I tried to eat it but the taste and texture was awful. I'm typically not a texture person, but I could not eat this. read more

Everything we tried here is good. I was told the chef used to work at Ting' s red lantern. The have lunch specials every day of the week until 2:30 pm and you get a lot for 5.95. Soup, crab rangoon, egg roll and an entree. The other entrees are reasonably priced and the portions are big enough to save some for lunch the next day. read more

I pass this little place all the time but had never taken the time to try it. We finally decided to give it a try after reading the yelp reviews and boy have we been missing out all this time! The crabmeat rangoons were delicious! We had the sweet and sour chicken which was just right and nice and crispy as well as the beef and broccoli which was great too! I met friends here for lunch today after another friend recommended it. The restaurant is small; however, the food is very good. We all had the lunch special: entree, two appetizers, soup and choice of rice. Portion size was just right and quality ingredients. The hot tea is jasmine, which was a pleasant surprise. I ate lunch here a few weeks ago and it was really good so we decided to get take-out tonight. I could tell you that we waited over an hour for our food, (I think because of a flat tire?) but it doesn't matter. The food got here hot, with plenty of sweet and sour, which is definitely made in house and soooo tasty. Egg rolls and crab rangoon arw top notch too. We absolutely ate the pants off our snow pea chicken and pepper beef. My better half is super picky about Chinese food, but he moaned through the whole meal. Love this place! read more

I ordered delivery from this restaurant to my hotel, the food was just ok. I ordered dumplings, wonton soup, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and two diet cokes. The dumplings didn't have a lot of flavor unfortunately. The fried rice had an odd off-taste that I couldn't quite place, and no discernable wok hei. The spring rolls were not stuffed very full and came rather greasy. The two diet cokes I ordered didn't come in a can but inexplicably were in paper cups with ice (packed right next to the hot food) which had completely melted by the time I got my order, so it was just two cups of watery mess. It wasn't horrible all told, just enough disappointments that I doubt I'll ever order from them again. read more

Delivery was prompt, and the driver was nice. The food wasn't horrible, but it was very bland. Pork lo mein had minimal flavor to it. General Tsos chicken had a funny taste to it... didn't taste anything like any GT I've ever had. Delivery only came with one packet of mustard, so not many options to enhance the flavor. Honestly, don't spend your money here. I went there for lunch and had the orange chicken which was part of the lunch special that comes with soup,crab ragoon, & a egg roll. I skipped out on the soup...nothing appetizing. When my plate came first thing I tried was the egg roll and it was gross...no flavor the crab r just ok. Now for the main course, it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would and it was smothered in orange juice which defeats the purpose of breaded chicken!
