Food was great, reasonably priced and friendly service! Had the bacon burger and it was amazing! Highly recommend

Visiting on a work trip and my hotel recommended this place very highly so I headed over for lunch. I ordered wings with blueberry pepper jelly sauce. Someone needs to bottle this so I can buy it and take some home. And the cook on the wings was perfect. They had a special for the day of breakfast tacos since it was taco Tuesday. Very good. And the fries were amazing.

I try to go to Brick's Bar & Grill most of the time when I go downtown Cedar Rapids, for their great rotating selection of craft beer and for their delicious burnt ends. I went there on Saint Patrick's Day this year, and it was loud and packed full of people, but very fun. I also went to Brick's the other day with some friends and we drank some great beer at the bar. Almost every time I have gone to visit Brick's Bar & Grill, it's been very busy, but still a good time. The bartenders are always very kind and knowledgeable about what they have on tap. Additionally, the lighting inside Brick's is always dim and calming. I loved the white tiny lights that they put up for decoration. My friends also really like going to Brick's for their awesome brews and food. Great bar!

Big beer selection here. They have a special on wings. I tried the smoked wings which turned out to be ok. Slightly overcooked in my opinion. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. Alyssia and Elaine were great!

Smoked wings with pineapple chili and chipotle BBQ sauces...

Saw a review about the smoked wings and figured I'd give them a try. They were definitely spot on. The only thing that might have been better is if the containers of sauce were a little bigger. Overall, though, they were totally worth the $15. I also made it for Happy Hour and they had a lot of great local and regional brews at 2 for 1. Will recommend to my coworkers who end up staying in Cedar Rapids in the future...

Hands down a amazing bar! Bartenders treat you like a local that they went to high school with, will chat if you want or let you be if that's what you need. Great selection of beers and everything you would need for a hard or mixed drink. This is how bars used to be and still should be! Eddy and Ashely great bartenders and very welcoming! Give this place a try if you are in town or a local looking for a new bar to try!

Stopped here while passing through Iowa - a gret find! Brick's is on a stretch of 2nd Avenue which features several pubs/bars/brewhouses, and we picked it randomly. It was 8 pm on a Tuesday - not much of a crowd at all. No minors are allowed after 9 pm, and at 8 pm everyone seemed of age except a teen with parents. There was a large group that looked to be straight from the office, a couple couples, and some hockey fans watching playoff games on the big screens. I wouldn't bring little kids here at any hour, out of respect for the adults who want an adult atmosphere. Music was hip-hop and pop, but that may have been patrons' choices on the jukebox. The beer selection is exceptional: over 60 choices, many of them local. The Arms Race Pale Ale by Big Grove Brewery was perfect. Food was more than adequate, not exceptional: generous portions of fries with big burgers and sandwiches. Not a lot of light choices, which is not surprising in a bar/grill atmosphere. Staff was attentive, patient and helpful. Prices for beer and food were completely in line with expectations. Sodas were $2.50, which seemed a bit high to me, but I guess they've got to make some money off the non-drinkers. I'd recommend Brick's to anyone visiting Cedar Rapids. Next time I'll check out other places on the street too - it's a cool neighborhood.

Find yourself in downtown CR? Need a brew and in search of a completely BA Happy Hour? Look no further than Brick's Bar & Grill. Five Reasons To Stop In: 1. BOGO Beers, M-F from 3-7pm. Can't beat that! 2. Holy Beer Selection Batman!! This place has TV screens showcasing their extensive, ever changing brews, boasting over 60 on tap. 3. A unique atmosphere that you wanna hang out at. Brick's is in a century year old building with exposed brick walls. Those beauts are lined with antiques and trinkets (as well as several TVs so you won't miss the game). 4. A helpful staff works here. I've never had an issue with being served and our waitresses or bartenders have always been pleasant. 5. Location, Location, Location. The heart of downtown. A great stop before any event at the US Cellular Center. A side note, their food is typical bar food featuring sandwiches, wraps and other bar food staples. I had the Pulled Pork Nachos with queso cheddar and black bean pico over nacho chips. Literally, this is a MASSIVE plate of Doritios with toppings. Fine for a large group but you can't have more than a few before your stomach aches a bit. Stop in for a pint at Brick's!

Service was great and the waiter was pretty good at making the rounds, making sure I was attended to. I was going to order the large but he insisted to get the medium knowing the pie was going to be too big. (I should have ordered the large! ). When the pie came out, everything about this pizza was a step above any slice I've ever had. I'm a uge fan , that's right "UGE" fan of Dave Portnoy 1 slice pizza review and have been dying to try the NH style type of pizza. I ordered a medium (which was uge btw) pep pizza and it came out within 10 mins. Each slice had zero flop and a beautiful undercarriage! The dough had that true charcoal oven fired tasted and the pepperoni cups were crisp and spicy! The thing that really elevated this pizza for me was that after taken it back to the hotel and microwaving it, (it lost some of it structure) but the crust was still pretty crispy! How am I'm suppose to go back to Texas now knowing this kind of slice exists!?! The place also has some pretty cool shirts which are kind of pricey but tbh will always remind me of that one time I'd almost cried eating pizza.

The patio is nice, great tables and the servers paid close attention to what we may want/need in the food realm. My friend got a Greek salad and really enjoyed it. I got a burger with BBQ sauce that was messy as all get out and so worth it. Got the dipping fries and willing to say I was really surprised with how tasty they were. They are unique too so maybe made in house. The jerks with two dogs, one was really aggressive trying to attack someone else's dog that was totally chill. That definitely means a deduction even though there were rules posted, it didn't seem the staff was going to bother and I get that it is pretty awkward. Seems like the staff would have to hear the ruckus cause the dogs were by the entrance to the place. The other folks took their dog back to the car. It was the sort of outward aggression that would make me wary if they are regulars. We had already ordered and gotten our food so we simply kept a watchful eye out.
