After reading about Chefs Table online we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were delighted with the incredible flavors on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the culinary tour that it took us on. We started with the Frog Legs, brown shrimp and pigs cheek gumbo. We were impressed by the gorgeous roux, crunchy and delicate frog legs and tender pig cheeks and the right amount of spicy heat. It made me feel like I was dining in New Orleans. We followed it with the San Marzano Tomato was intriguing, the cool combination of tomato and watermelon seemed incompatible, but we were proved wrong. It was a delicious and refreshing bite that left us wanting more. For our mains we ordered the beef filet and wood pigeon. The filet could have used a bit more seasoning, but it was beautifully tender. The strong game flavor of the pigeon was balanced by the salty pancetta and sweet peas. The gnocchi were not my favorite, they could have been lighter. Overall, we loved our meal and look forward to returning on our next visit to Chester. read more
