This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had…read more The main reason given was that several employees had called off. While staffing shortages can be challenging, that's when leadership matters most. Jacob, the store manager, could benefit from additional training on how to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and providing customer-focused solutions. Good management finds a way to assist customers, even when circumstances aren't ideal. There were signs posted on the entrance doors and throughout the store stating that the Copy & Print Center was closed for the day. However, simply telling customers that services are unavailable because employees called off is not an acceptable customer service approach--especially when the store is empty and staff members appear available. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that I visited the same store the day before. The store was fairly busy and appeared to have the same number of employees (three). Although some services were unavailable, the manager communicated the situation respectfully, provided estimated wait times, and treated customers professionally. This time, the level of rudeness was completely different. Instead of offering alternatives or attempting to help, I was simply told, "There is nothing I can do for you." That response, combined with the lack of customer care, made for a very disappointing experience.

Sure, they still have everything you need but it's not particularly flashy or all that exciting inside. I usually just go in and go out getting paper, ink, and any other manner of office supplies I need. Service is friendly, though, and it's conveniently located, which I can't complain about.

So excited to find this store. We drove 45min to get here, and it was well worth it…read more The Detroit area has two kinds of furniture stores IMHO, those with cheap junk furniture and sales every weekend (you know the ones), and those that have quality furniture but obscenely exorbitant prices. Nothing in the middle! This store has quality, at what I would call reasonable prices for such quality. The showroom is beautiful with a great selection and comprehensive illustrative materials for reference. Sanjay and Sean know their suppliers, and are excited about the pieces they represent. The pride in their stock is obvious. And, they are very helpful with tips regarding additional brands they have access to. We came in for a bedroom suite recently, and were dealt with fairly and honestly. Delivery does indeed take a long time, but I've heard similar quotes while shopping at other stores during this crazy covid time. Many of their suppliers are amish and make the furniture on spec, so it makes sense. We can afford to wait, so no biggie. It's all probably going to mean we visit there again soon for our living room, too. If I remember, I'll update once we get delivery.

They say they order from a US company, but two months seems like something you are having shipped from the other side of the world. Staff acted like we were bothering them.

I have ordered many items from this dept for various open houses and birthdays, etc., and have always been extremely happy with the product and service. Thank you for your high level of care for your customers and for being an expert at what you do for Office Depot. Kudos! The store is lucky to have you.

It pains me to write this. PAINS me. One of the last alternatives for local printing, had one of…read morethe BEST service counters in the state. Being a cartoonist, I went there for many many things. Majorly for finished art to be printed. In the beginning, they had a wonderful rep named Bernard who KNEW his stuff. He cared about his job and the people he served. About 2 years ago, I started to see Bernard less and less and the implementation of DIY printers that you are told to use. These are cumbersome to say the least, seldom loaded with the type of paper I need and the new staff just doesn't want to help you. Especially their "pissy" manager. I needed something on a Saturday for a gift to be printed. The full service print shop I now go to was closed, so I went to Office Max to get it done. It was just as bad as I remembered the experience to be but even worse. Literally, there were 4 customers in the store, including my wife and I. 2 employees were at the print registers. One was finishing a customer and the other was at the register. I stood and waited for him to address me. After a minute he asked "can I help you". I said YES! I am so glad to see you up here, I hate those machines, I need a thicker paper and could you print this ONE picture for me. He said "No. I am swamped, I can print it tomorrow. And you can pick it up." I said it's one picture? He said you will have to use the machines over there. He was the manager. The other employee heard I was looking for a longer sheet and ran to see it was loaded. Which I thanked him for. These DIY machines make you pay at least $5 with a credit card to Office Depot and then you can print. There is a myriad of options. I have often walked away without what I came for. I don't like them. I don't work there. All the manager had to do is: put in my usb. select pdf. press print. Less than 60 seconds. Instead I was told to come back. To drive back home, then come back the next day and go back home. Gas is atrocious. But truly, it's a very common attitude in this day and age. And also why there were 3 customers in the store on a beautiful Saturday. And Christmas. And back to school. It's the people running the place that make the difference. Bring back Bernard!!! Pay him what he wants. I wanted to complain to the manager.... but you know the story. What a shame.
