(This is a late review) Last November I bought a mattress with an remote control adjustable base here. When the delivery men came they took out my old, worn out mattress and box springs and carried in the new base. While the delivery men were setting up the base we discovered a tear in the fabric of the base. One of the men called the store and I spoke to our salesman, Bruce, who told me the store would replace the base and I could keep the torn base until the replacement came in. I accepted this. The base worked fine but my concern about the torn fabric was that the tear could possibly (if it hadn't already) compromise the electrical portions of the base by allowing dirt/dust or whatever inside. Time went by, December was going by and I became concerned at the slow pace of things. Sanjay (the owner) told me the sales representative from the company that made the base hadn't responded to their requests to replace the base I was dissatisfied with. I requested the salesman's phone number to plead on my own behalf and Sanjay gave it to me. I left messages on the representative's phone but he did not call me back. When I finally reached him he briefly listened to my story then gave a glib reply, changed the subject and hung up. I was feeling powerless/out of my depth and expressed some of this frustration to Sanjay who is a good listener. He again apologized and and assured me that he would resolve this issue to my satisfaction before 2017. In the 2nd half of December, 2016 I received notice from All About Furniture they would be delivering the new replacement base. Imagine my surprise when the new base ALSO included a vibrator/massager that the original hadn't had. I don't know how much more this new base would have cost me but I know that Sanjay lost money by upgrading the base. He kept his word to resolve the issue before the new year and I believe he upgraded the base to try to make up for the delay. I respect his integrity and sincere efforts to conclude the transaction to my satisfaction. I have gone back since then to buy a cool little desk lamp and plan to shop there in the future. read more

The process of shopping for furnishings suitable for my daughter's first apartment in Ann Arbor was slightly less than tormenting. Imagine trying to find a compromise between the enthusiasm of a young ladies expectation, (the need to fit in with peers) and that of parents desiring to obtain high quality merchandise that is reasonably priced. We were encouraged when we heard about the positive experience of my daughter's friend. They suggested we visit "About Furniture". According to them, a great store offered good prices and a wide selection of high quality contemporary pieces. We took their suggestion. Encouraged, yet aware of apprehension, given the previous disappointments, we took their suggestion. Relief was the first feeling I was aware of as soon as we entered the store. Immediately we were greeted with a cheerful sales associate, more than willing to listen to our needs and frustrations. She was very helpful and informative, as was the others we met. The sales associate was available for questions and made suggestions yet did not hover over us while we browsed. I was impressed with the quality of merchandise and the variety of name brand products. I was pleased knowing we were getting high quality merchandise at a reasonable prize. My daughter and I both left feeling relieved of the tension that was building between us from the experience of what should be an exciting venture. KG read more

This place was amazing! Not your typical shopping experience. We went in to browse/buy after a house fire left us with just a rocking chair to furnish our new home. Mark the salesman was amazing! He explained what they do and who they work with and showed us how they can basically build you whatever your heart desires and that the stacks of stunning furniture laying around is for sale but is more useful as examples of what their master craftsman can create. I was scared beyond belief because not only do I hate shopping but my wife is the single most indecisive person on the planet. The idea of hours being spent in that showroom was unbearable and I nearly bolted but Mark calmly explained that this will take some time and showed us where we could find all the information we needed for what would become our first purchase and gave my wife a bunch of information and options to think about that would eventually make our decision very easy to make. Im proud to say our beautiful sectional is more perfect than we could've ever imagined and they brought it in and set it all up for us exactly where my wife eventually decided to let it stay for a while until she gives it a final resting place. I suggest anyone who isn't sure what they want or just want to see some unbelievable furniture made by master craftsman stop in and see Mark he made our experience amazing! read more

I had been speaking with Sanjay (owner) over the phone about getting a new mattress. Long story semi-short: The mattress I purchased a little while back at Vanwinkle's in Ann Arbor was too soft and causing hip and shoulder pains. I simply thought I had pain because of the strenuous exercise I do often. I recently slept on a nice Serta mattress at my cousin's and WOW, I slept 9-10 hours for 4 days straight with ZERO pain. So, I HAD to get that same Serta and Sanjay was working with a Serta representative to match what I wanted. I mentioned my mattress story to him and mentioned Vanwinkle's. He told me to call the owner and that the owner would make things right. Well, that's just what happened, Vanwinkle's was fantastic (see my review for them.) Sanjay could have tried to simply sell me the mattress I really wanted, but instead saw that I could remedy things and save a lot of money. By doing that, he gained a customer (even though I've never stepped foot inside his store!) That is the type of customer service that wins over people like me: HONEST and PERSONABLE. I was searching for some better bedroom furniture, as my current bed was a makeshift setup from non matching pieces. I finally decided that I wanted to get some good quality, solid hardwood furniture and after searching online found All About Furniture. We visited them on a Saturday and were greeted by people working there asking what we were looking for. They pointed us to the bedroom sets and let us explore. I was very surprised to feel no high pressure sales tactics from anyone there. It was a great experience, as once we narrowed down the sets we liked they were able to offer advice and even offered a floor model to us. When we started looking at night stands, Sanjay convinced me that I didn't need to spend a ton of money on two night stands with extra drawers and saved me money there. He did warn me it would be 8-12 weeks for the night stands to come in, but I already was expecting a long wait. I had no problems with the delivery of the bed. The crew was timely, nice, efficient, and made sure I was happy with where the bed was assembled. I just heard my night stands are in and I can't wait to go pick those up! My parents shop often at this store, so when my parents gave me an Amish made bistro set that only included 2 chairs, I knew this is the place I needed to go to get 4 chairs to match the bistro table (as I needed 4 chairs instead of 2). I took one of the original chairs to the store and spent some time with my mom and the sales support to pick a stain that matched as close as possible, and order the chairs. The chairs came in and when we brought them home only to realize they did not match the bistro table at all. Needless to say I was disappointed. However the store did a fantastic job to make sure that I was satisfied. They took all the chairs back and offered either store credit or a full refund. At this point I decided lets just order a new table and chairs - which I did. They helped me pick out the table with the exact measurements, finished edge and base, along with the chairs and the perfect stain. I am over the moon at how well it came out - I'm in love with the set as well as the service I received from the store. We visited the store the first time about 2 months ago in search of furniture for our living room, dining room and guest bedroom. The staff was very friendly when we entered the store and were very informative about different furniture options. Sanjay spent a lot of time sorting our thoughts and gave us good guidance in centering in on what our needs were. I went to the store a few times afterwards to look at color and styles and never felt rushed about making a decision until I was comfortable doing so. I had gone on the website houzz.com and emailed Sanjay a specific dining room chair I wanted and he was able to find something almost the exact same! One thing that made this experience a lot easier was Sanjay's prompt responses. Whether via text or email, I always had an answer within the time promised. We had our furniture delivered today and it is absolutely gorgeous! The workmanship is amazing and the product looks as promised. This is an amazing store. We first had customized bookshelves from them. Because the bookshelves are so amazing, we later purchased chairs and a table from them. Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Two things differentiate them from their competitors: (1) They pay attention to what customers need and try to come up with a good solution. I feel that they take pride in their products and will personally feel bad if their products turn out to be not what the customers want. (2) They pay attention to details, e.g., whether the color of the wood fits the room and whether the fabric is child/spill-proof. Even when they deliver, their staff meticulously put on shoe covers each time they come into our house and remove them each time they go out to get another piece of furniture. We were looking for furniture that was made in America... we found it at this store.. He also offers Amish furniture which is truly beautiful. Our shopping experience was absolutely wonderful. We had a great sales person (Sandy), very helpful and knowledgeable. No high pressure to buy, you can browse at your own pace. There is a lot to see in this store. We bought some beautiful leather furniture and during delivery the ottoman got a little tear underneath, Sonjai (the owner) came to my house in Westland, picked it up, had it fixed and returned it to me.. Now that is customer service at it's finest. We plan on purchasing a bedroom set soon and we will go straight to All About Furniture. We recommended this store to our family, friends and neighbors. This was the 5th furniture store I went to looking for a new hardwood bed for my loft-style condo. The combination of quality, selection, and price here was so much better than anywhere else that I could hardly believe it. The only comparable-quality furniture that I saw anywhere in the area was at a small boutique in downtown Ann Arbor, where a bed similar to the Amish handmade, queen-sized, mid-century-modern-style cherry-frame platform bed I purchased at All About Furniture would have cost me $1000 more. The only drawback is that all items are made to order, so I did have to wait a few months for my bed, but it was well worth the wait. I got great advice picking out the wood and stain, and it looks exactly the way I imagined it would in my bedroom. Very friendly and helpful service, no hassle delivery. We got a custom made entertainment center for our home. The owner, Sanjay took it upon himself to keep us updated on the progress of the piece of furniture, which due to its unique design, height Etc., had quite a bit of lead time. Sanjay himself also supervised the delivery of the piece. Upon delivery, we requested some modifications to match the theme of the existing furniture of the room. Sanjay then actively helped on designing the features that we asked to change, made the changes with his manufacturer and then delivered accordingly. Overall, we are really happy with the professionalism and helpful attitude of Sanjay, who is the one we dealt with directly. Sanjay (the owner) and his staff was GREAT! We was looking for bar stools and thought we found them but, when we got them home they did not fit us right. We took them back with no problems. We then found different bar stools, took them home. Once again they did not fit us right. We then took them back again. The enter staff never made us feel unwelcome and worked with us on every level. We ended up getting end tables (Sanjay's ideal). I would highly recommend All About Furniture! The quality of there inventory is very high and will last forever. And, you can not beat the staff. We recently purchased two nightstands and dresser from them. After going to every furniture store in Ann Arbor, we came back to this store because of the quality of this Amish made set. Mark Caswell was very friendly, introduced himself, then left us alone to check out the store, occasionally locating us in the store to see if we had questions. I hate it when the clerk follows you around the store because they work on commission. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to purchase the furniture off the floor and that they could deliver it that day to our home in Brighton for a very reasonable fee. I was pleasantly surprised to locate luxury furniture at wholesale prices. Really ! A made in Wisconsin wood dresser for my master bedroom for $350. Yes please ! I felt comfortable making multiple visits to the showroom as we decided which table and chairs were right for our home. My daughter made a last minute decision to attend school in MI and we were flying into Detroit and had 2 days to set up her apartment. Sanjay and his team were so helpful and very nice to work with. We bought a dresser and they wrapped it and put it in my rented minivan for me. When we got to her apartment they had changed her into a furnished apartment.
