A warm and cozy theater with great prices, and lovely people who work there. They do not attempt to uncharge you for anything.

Stuff happens, especially when you have high powered hot lights that have cooling problems. Where things shine is what happens when that happens. We just walked out, talked to someone, got a ticket for the next nearest showing and went into that. no mess, no 'oh that's later int he day more expensive you have to cover it' just a quick swap, new seats picked, and back in we went. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food pricing, but, everything is more expensive these days.

I've ordered pretzel bites or other food ahead for seat delivery several times. Typically you must have your ticket scanned by the attendant to "check-in" and alert staff to prepare food for delivery. Sometimes my food has been delivered rather quickly and other times not. This visit was probably the worst of them all. I arrived at 11:30am for the 12:00 pm showing and had my ticket scanned. I know it takes some time and very rarely criticize food service at any establishment. However, I was not expecting it to take ONE HOUR for delivery of an order of pretzel bites to my seat, especially since other patrons ordered in their seats after arriving and received their orders before me. Once received at 12:30 when I arrived at 11:30, I was stunned by the much smaller portion size for the price than in years past. Beyond the clear service issue, I was also disappointed that Spider-Man themed popcorn buckets were available at the in person concession stand and not available to order ahead on the app. There was no mention of these being available at Silverspot on social media or the like until hours AFTER my screening. I would have preferred this and, had I known, waited until I arrived at the theater to purchase. I contacted customer service online right after my screening. The website stated a response would be sent within one business day. Three business days and a follow up email later, I finally received a "response" which felt very impersonal and not sincere. The "response" repeated many of my talking points and said feedback would be "passed along" to the team. Much like an AI-generated response. Subsequent emails have been ignored. Needless to say, I have no interest in patronizing this theater in the future after being a longtime customer.

I am not sure if they played previews or not but I don't think they did. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was HOT! Like, wow. It was a fairly nice day. It seemed hotter in the actual theater. The prices of popcorn wasn't bad at all. My brother and I both got an XL popcorn for $6 each. To be honest, it's like a large at other places. We both got a large drink that was $5. My son wanted a water, so I got him a bottled water, which was $2. They ran out of butter, so I could t get any. The popcorn was okay. It definitely wasn't fresh, lol. But I can't expect much from a vintage movie theater. This establishment only has one theater room. There is an entrance on both sides of the concession stand and an emergency exit to the left of the screen. We ended up having to sit in the 3-4th row from the front as everything else was pretty much taken. It seemed that most of the crowd were students from UNC-CH. we enjoyed the movie! Besides the lack of temperature control, it wasn't a bad experience. I would return again if I was in the area. I only came here because it was cheap halfway spot between where I live in Greensboro and where my brother lives in Clayton.

If you love live music but aren't a fan of huge crowds and overpriced everything, this theater is a total gem. First off, the vibe here is just cool and intimate. It's one of those places where, even if you're sitting a bit farther back, you still feel close to the action. The acoustics were great, every note and every lyric was super clear, which really made the performance feel special. Muscadine Bloodline killed it, by the way! One thing I really appreciated: the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. Getting there was a breeze and there's a parking garage directly across the street, so no crazy searches for a spot or long walks in the cold/rain/heat. You can literally be inside the theater within minutes of parking. Inside, the concessions were surprisingly reasonable. I was bracing myself to pay $20 for a beer like most venues, but nope, drinks and snacks were actually affordable. It's a little thing, but it made the night even better. Being able to sit for the show was also huge for me. The seats were comfortable, with a good view from just about anywhere. I loved not having to stand the whole time or jockey for space. It's honestly the perfect size, big enough for a killer crowd atmosphere, but small enough that it's not overwhelming. All in all, the Carolina Theatre just nails it for live shows. Great music, chill atmosphere, reasonable prices, and zero hassle. Can't wait to catch another concert here!
