I ordered the food in the morning it was spoiled. Tasted like days old food. The rice was disgusting the inside of the chicken was brown and it tasted weird. I called ahead to tell them that the food tasted like it went bad. They told me to bring it in, I did. When I went the man immediately dismissed me and my sister. So rumor had it that Chen's was the place for Chinese food when in the area. They offer two or three tables for eat in, but are mostly take out. The General Tso was very good, the chicken was nice and crispy and had a good flavor. The crab Rangoon, were disappointing, they were sweet like maybe they should be a dessert rather than an appetizer. The crispy noodles are sold in bags, not house made. Overall not bad. read more

I had ordered from here before and was relatively happy (one time the chicken was filmy but I let it go) until this evening. I called for delivery and asked a question about a dish. I was unsure if I wanted it and didn't want to keep them on the line so I said I'd call back. I called back and when I have phone number again - all of a sudden it was going to be an hour and a half wait! Never said that before. So I said fine I'll pick it up -- and WOW - it was gonna be the same time! Imagine that? So I asked "is it because I said I was going to call back" he said no but how on earth is it that long now when I called the first time and was not made aware of that! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! General Tso is overdone, meat has hard texture and fat. Sweet and Sour Chicken is well done coating but meat is poor and did have weird texture and taste. Sauce was good, but has funny consistency. The last time it took 55 minutes for the meal and it was done about 5-10 minutes late. This time we got only two dishes and they said 35 minutes and we went in to pay at 45 minutes and they said meal would take 75 minutes and come back In thirty or so minutes. The cashier was poorly trained and was rude. The experience was memorable but for the wrong reasons. It will be a long time before we return. We have used the Chinese Resturant at 3616 Pacific Ave in WWood and much better experience all around and less expensive to boot. I would usually give one star for such service, but I will give a little higher rating because their Veg Fried rice tastes good, but overpriced for the quality and taste.... Was down in Cape May on vacation and wanted to take a break from going out to dinner. Saw this Chinese restaurant on my way home from the Cape May Ferry. I'm always a little leary order Chinese from a place I don't know so I order the simplest thing on the menu, chicken chow mein. I should have asked if they use all white meat but my Chinese restaurant back only uses white meat so I didn't ask. The chicken in my chow mein was uneatable. It looked like the pieces of chicken you would cut off a piece of chicken when your were cleaning it up before you cooked it. Dark scraps with some fat still on it. The vegetables weren't that much better. The carrots where the skin of the carrots when you peel a carrot. The whole meal went in the garbage. I don't like give a small business such a bad review but I also don't like see people wasting their money. Would not recommend at all. read more

We ordered two Lo Mein's for delivery: Sichuan style, and House special. Plus: The Lo Mein portions were large and filling, and delivery was very fast (under 20 min). Minus: Two Lo Meins styles taste exactly the same: it's the same old sugary US suburb Chinese food. Sichuan style is not Sichuanese at all; it's not even a little bit spicy. read more

I installed yelp on my phone, and joined yelp just to write this. My company has been ordering take out from here for years. Today, I am working solo in my office and forgot my lunch. I ordered delivery as I cannot leave to pick up food. I ordered two lunch specials just to get above their $10 minimum delivery threshold. Was delivered with no plasticware. I now have two lunches that I cannot eat. All of their menus have been removed from the office and shredded. I hope the savings on the cost of plastic forks and spoons is worthwhile. read more

This is the best place in Cape May County to get vegetarian Chinese food. The hole-in-the-wall stripmall location belies the quality of the entrees. They cook their tofu PERFECTLY. It's chewy, textured, and holds sauce very well. None of that soft, out-of-the-box stuff. Generous portions, free stuff when your order is over $20, $30, $40 or $50, and they offer delivery, though I've always ordered for pick-up (I drive 20-25 out of town for this place). They offer egg rolls, spring rolls, and vegetable rolls and even their fried donuts are better than elsewhere. CONS: This place loses a star for two major flaws: no real seating area (a couple of tables and chairs just feet away from the noise of the kitchen, usually taken up by the owners' kids or people waiting for their take-out order), and CASH ONLY, but there's a Wawa across the street. Overall, having lived here for 19 of the past 20 years, I feel kind of robbed that I only just stumbled upon this place a couple of months ago. read more

Sesame noodle and orange chicken were way too sweet but I guess that's how they think Americans like it.
