Well the recent reviews have been hit or miss. Unfortunately this was total miss. That bad neither one of us brought the leftovers home and we barely ate any of it. We both got chicken dishes. On the plus side. Chicken was very tender and plenty of it. Mine was chicken and veggies. Can't say too many vegetables. Hers, chicken/broccoli. Again not too much broccoli. I would have been fine with less meat. Same sauce for both dishes. Very odd texture and flavor. Almost like corn starch consistency. I asked for some spice/heat added to mine. There wasn't any. Did not have any Chinese flavor. Just the odd starchy. Egg roll was a little too hard. Again flavor was off. Almost sour, like cabbage. Yes it does have cabbage in it. Not the flavor an egg roll should have. Wonton soup was edible. The server did not ask how our meals were. He should have since 3/4 of was still sitting there and we didn't want to take it. Ate there last year and it was great. They need consistency. Will not be going back. Sad because the area really only has take out Chinese places. read more

Lots of places were closed and we kept moving from one restaurant to another . We finally found this place and it was almost about to close . 30 mins left to close and we went ! The guy took our order and the food was considerably quick . Good ambience Some of the food items were so good .. egg / chicken fried rice was just awesome ! Very very good :... General Tsos tofu was ok.. was very sweet . The chicken with vegetable curry was super good.. curry was just unbelievable .. and finally - the fried chicken with vegetables was very average .. they said it's spicy , but it was sweeeeeet ! I see people walking into this place all the time, so I came here for dinner. All the YELP reviewers raved about this place. I guess I'm in the minority. Boy I was disappointed. I am thinking this place is nostalgic (but not to me). The decor was dark and old but clean. .so I can deal with dark/old. The staff was eh.. .No one ever asked me what to drink so I ended up with just water. They lost out on a soda sale. He came up and said "you know what you want?" oh my I had the chicken lo mein combo. It was bland to me. I left it for hubby. My egg drop was also bland. Hubby had the general chicken which was actually tasty. He did enjoy it. The waiter never came back to see if I needed anything or wanted anything else. I won't be back. Do not let the name steer you away. I know the name sounds too generic and makes it seem like a cheap takeout place. It's neither of these things. This is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Lower Township area. This is a frequent "go to" place when I'm having a craving for Chinese food. I highly recommend dining in the restaurant instead of doing takeout. The food is so much better this way with your dishes being piping hot, fresh, and crunchy. Plus you'll get some tea and wonton chips to munch on this way. When dining in for dinner, the food is typically served family style with complimentary white rice (so the more the merrier!). Which is great because the serving sizes seem to be meant for sharing, they're huge. I have frequented this place many times and it hasn't disappointed so far. I recommend always getting their eggrolls they're seasoned really well with a black pepper taste on the inside; definitely one of my favorite eggrolls of all time. I think my favorite dish from here is probably the Sweet and Sour Chicken, it's always so crispy and tasty. One thing I do have to point out is that this place is a little more expensive than most Chinese options in the area. I think the quality of the food makes it worth the extra price tag, but just thought I'd bring that up. If you're on the fence, I would recommend coming during lunchtime. Their lunch special is a pretty good value with a very hefty portion. Last time I checked, the lunch specials typically go for $12. Definitely a must try if you're in the area. Oh how I wish I didn't follow the reviews for this place. This was the most bland Chinese food I ever had and it was super expensive on top of it. We got a combo, chicken and broccoli, wings and a lo mein and it was $76 bucks. That would cost me $40 at home in CT. The wings were god awful. One of my favorite things from Chinese places are wings and these were probably worst wings I've had ever- worse than grocery store wings. My husband threw out his pork fried rice that came in the combo. The general tsos was like red red color which was weird and sweet not spicy. The lo mein had no flavor. The chicken and broccoli dry. Overall like I said worst Chinese food I've ever had. Only reason I didn't give it one star is because (other than the rice) it didnt taste bad, but it just didn't taste like anything. read more

If you like waiting forever for missing food and being gaslit about egg rolls, this is your place for $120! Wow. Just wow. We placed a medium order and were told 45 minutes to an hour. Reasonable, right? Except an hour and fifteen minutes later we had to CALL THEM just to remind them to deliver our food. Food finally shows up after an hour and a half. And the highlight of the menu? The egg rolls but they never arrived! We had even ordered a pint of duck sauce specifically for them, so that was money wasted right there. When we called (for the second time) the same lady on the phone said she'd "personally deliver the egg rolls in 10 minutes." NEWS FLASH: 45 minutes later, still nothing. Our (mediocre at best) meal was finished by then. So we called AGAIN and asked them to just refund us. We said refund for 4 egg rolls. She says 3. We repeat 4. She says 3. We correct her AGAIN. She snaps back with "I heard you" in a condescending tone after the FOURTH time we've called her that night. So to recap: 1.5 hour wait, missing food, false promises, and rude customer service. Never again. I'd have been better off with frozen egg rolls from the grocery store. read more

We have lived in area 45++ years, Family tradition to get Chinese for New Years (Wife' started the tradition in 1975), we always went to best restaurant or many times ordered out from what we believed was the best restaurant in the area) We Ordered Sesame Chicken, white rice & sweet and sour chicken with Pork fried Rice. Got Sesame Chicken ( Too Much Salt to Extreeme) Got Pork Fried instead of white rice (tasted more like Bacon grease was used but edible (Daughter comments) Sweet and sour Chicken (Very chewy) No Sweet and sour sauce, Chicken not cooked right. (Not good) I thought Rice was edible, not any way as good as normal. I'll have to cook the chicken more and hope I don't get sick eating the two undercooked chicken meats... Normally give them a 4-5 but they barely did a two stars... It was so bad we will do another Chinese restaurant tomorrow... Always a great meal here! Started off with an amazing pupu platter with spare ribs, fantail shrimp, dumplings , chicken wings...the shrimp and wings were so crispy and delicious, loved them!!! The teriyaki beef sticks and ribs were well marinated and perfect!! Ordered sesame chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce as entrees. Sesame chicken was perfectly battered with a great crunch and citrus sauce. I loved the broccoli in garlic sauce. Their garlic sauce is tangy with a kick of spice. Service was excellent. We regularly order Dragon House take out, but decided to go inside after many years of not dining in. The food is so much better dining in. I know it's the same food, but something about it fresh and hot from the kitchen is just better. We had 2 lunch specials, which came with hot tea and crispy noodles. $11.50 each, though you can add soda, soup, or egg roll for a few dollars more. Extremely quick service. My only complaint or suggestion is to update the decor a little. It's the same as I remember from 5+ years ago. But it was clean and spacious. read more

Ordered take out. Took over the hour I was told it would take. Opened the bag, the four egg rolls were missing. Called and asked to have them taken off the bill. They insisted they would deliver them in 10 minutes. Over a half hour later with them not having arrived, called again. Placed on hold for 10 minutes. Asked again for them to be taken off the bill. Woman on the phone said ok and repeatedly said yes, I will take the "three" egg rolls off the bill. Had to tell her time and again, it was four to be taken off the bill. She got condescending and said "yes for the fourth time!" If she had simply gotten the number to be taken off right, I would not have had to repeat myself. We had dinner here believe it or not 50 years ago on our honeymoon - very little was open back then in Cape May county. We were staying in Cape May, had had dinner at the Lobster House, caught a burger at the C-View Inn, but wanted some Chinese and headed to Wildwood to the Dragon House. Today went back on our nostalgia tour and had a great time, tea was great as was the won-ton and entrees - the place brought back great memories and the service really made the meal. This place is located in middle of wildwood..it's old school ambiance in terms of Chinese restaurant looks..you know your in a Chinese food restaurant when u walk in let's put it that way.. The service was great and the waiter makes sure you don't over order.. We eat here all the time and it is the best on the island. The food is delicious. Vegetables are fresh and you can tell they are not frozen. The meat dishes are tensor, seafood is really good too. They have great lunch specials for very reasonable prices. Menu items are the same as most Chinese restaurants, but theirs are really good. Everyone who works here is courteous and welcoming. Delivery is usually less than an hour even on a holiday weekend. read more

I really enjoyed this place and it's a part of the Reges Ocean Front Resort Dining Plan at least in 2019. You get an 18$ credit for the special package on anything you want. I honestly wanted to try the Boathouse instead. . . I was outvoted but I was still a winner! I liked the fact that there is a parking lot there too. I wasn't too fond of the location as it seems to be a bit run down and dumpy, unfortunately though, that's Wildwood in some parts. It's still worth it though. The restaurant is very old and a bit dated with dark paneling interior, but clean. The service is extremely kind and friendly. You even get complimentary hot tea and the fried noodles w duck sauce and mustard sauce. These were standard. The food is spectacular! I loved my giant shrimp and cashew nuts. This was served with a tasty brown sauce with fresh crispy green peppers, pea pods, and crunchy water chestnuts too. I loved it because it was delicious. I tasted the hot and sour soup and also tried the crispy egg roll- hot fresh and crispy. I got to sample the mammoth lemon chicken and the General Tso's chicken. So savory, crispy coated and sweet was General Tso. I found it mild although there were some zippy peppers too. The lemon chicken was immense and the sauce was a sweeter lemony fresh sauce served with lemon garnish. I enjoyed it but was surprised to see that there weren't any veggies with it. The food I tried was really the best Chinese food I've ever enjoyed. I liked the fact that it wasn't overly salty. As I get up in years, I try to limit that. I don't typically eat Chinese and when I do it's extremely rare. It's never a first choice for me. I would run- not walk- back here. They have an ample banquet room that the server eagerly showed me because I was just checking out the restaurant. If you have the chance- check it out! The menu is immense. Keep an eye out- they offer some specials even on the dinner menu that include soup and egg roll. Beware- The City of Wildwood charges 8 1/2% tax. Something I wasn't expecting or aware of. read more

A very solid Chinese restaurant when your vacationing in Wildwood during the summer. I'm used to great Chinese food from NYC or north jersey so I guess could be a bit harder on restaurants not in the area but this one is good. I always get chicken or shrimp with broccoli and the chicken and broccoli was very good. My daughters enjoyed the fried dumplings (they are picky too) and also enjoyed an order of shrimp with broccoli which is impressive because they usually wouldn't like that. The restaurant is located near north Wildwood so it isn't in the best area of the Wildwoods but it is worth the trip. The service was attentive and really quick. The decor has a 70's vibe to it but it seemed to be very clean. No complaints here at all. read more

I was craving Chinese in the worst way and was surprised at how many 2-3 star places were in the area. Luckily this place had great reviews and the prices seemed to be decent. My grandmother and I stopped in for lunch and there was only one other table there (of course, it's the off season). The waiter brought out drinks and tea promptly which was great. We each ordered the chicken and broccoli steamed with a bowl of egg drop soup. We didn't wait long for the food either. I loved that they had a huge condiment bottle of duck sauce at the table because I generally drown my food in it! We actually ate in this time and we absolutely love, love, love this place! It's like you have stepped back in time in this gem of a restaurant. I had a shrimp chow mein combination platter and my husband had the beef and broccoli combination platter. The wonton soup and egg roll were so delicious as were our main dishes. My shrimp lomein was made with bad shrimp. I ate one and knew immediately it was off. My husband had a taste and said eww don't eat that so I picked out all the shrimp and told them it was bad.
