Decided to give this place a shot regardless of what I saw from the reviews. We ordered the walnut shrimp, spicy hunan chicken, and green beans with beef. All were very tasty! And super fresh. We ordered to go and got our food within 15 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the prettiest place, but it does have one of the better Chinese food that I've had in Burleson and Crowley. The cashier was very nice and also gave great recommendations. Food was decent, not the best, but decent and freshly made to order. The service was the main reason for the low rating. Not sure who pissed off the older Asian man with the missing teeth who didn't bother returning our greeting, but it was reflected in his attitude and mannerisms. The kicker was when he 'DROPPED' our bagged to go orders on the table in front of us, neither thanking us or acknowledging our thanks. We have used this place for lunch twice so this is only based on that. One order was through the phone, guy was super nice. Another order was done online, very convenient ordering system. Wasn't too complicated Ordered the following specials: beef and broccoli, spicy Hunan combination and chow mein. Also ordered wings, egg drop soup and fried won tons The lunch specials were ample and priced okay, the wings were bland and the won tons were gross. Tucked in the shopping mall by Kroger, you might miss this place. Don't. This place has great customer service, good prices, and most importantly, good food. The servings are huge and most of the time, I can make two meals from one order so my husband and I often share. They have a nice choice of meats - chicken, beef, pork, tofu, scallops...and any meat can go in any dish unless it's a specialty dish. The meats are all good and the veggies are fresh and crisp. I love that you can choose the spiciness of your entree since I like mine on the extra spicy side. The appetizers are very good and also very plentiful in quantity. My personal fav is the potstickers. They aren't like most places where there is a tiny glob of meat in the middle and nothing else but dough. These have the meat all the way from end to end so you get filling in every bite. Lightly fried and crispy outside, tender inside. Everything I have tried here so far has been excellent. Ordered delivery. It was delivered quickly and the food was tasty, but I'm knocking them for customer service. The meal was missing the fried rice. We called. Got out on hold and transferred to different people. Final person couldn't hear us and asked us to repeat ourselves no less than 3 times. Finally said they would have it sent out right away. It was never delivered. No return call/no follow-up. We'll be driving by later today to see how they rectify the situation. Normally order from here a couple times a week. Tonight tried to place an order for pick up and had to repeat order over and over. All of a sudden the guy starts yelling at me in what ever language he talks in. I gave up told him he shouldn't treat his customers like this and hung up. He called me back 3 more times yelling at me. All I was trying to do was order dinner for my kids. After the send time he called back I asked to speak to the owner. The man asked why I would want to talk to him. Told him I needed to make a complaint and he spoke again in a loud tone to me. He refused to let me talk to the owner so I hung up. Then he called me again. I just answered with a have a nice night we will order else where and he yelled some more. If you want to keep your customers I recommend treating them better. read more

I've had a few things from Chen's Wok - I'm not big on their broccoli and beef BUT, I'll tell you what is top notch! The egg foo young!!! I've had egg foo young from several places and it's never been as good as it has here. I always get the combo with shrimp, beef and chicken - it's DIVINE! It's a HUGE portion so this is definitely a shareable meal. It's always cooked to perfection and the egg foo young gravy - OMG best I've had in ages. There used to be a Chinese restaurant on Bluebonnet Circle in Fort Worth, by TCU that had phenomenal egg foo young, but they've long since closed and I've been on the search ever since. Finally, I found it!! If you are an egg foo young lover like me - Chen's Wok is definitely the place to get it from. Crab rangoons have always been exceptional as well and the egg rolls are still crisp on the inside and not soggy and over fried! General Tso's Chicken isn't bad either - they could kick the heat up a notch or two on it but still pretty tasty! read more

Customer service was by far the worst I have encountered. They do not have any free water to drink if you dine in either. We were told that the table we were at was not big enough for all of our order so move to a bigger table. So I proceeded to tell him we wanted our soup and egg roll before our entree. He states "this is fast food, not restaurant" I told him I wanted my money back. He wanted to argue. I told him again to give me my money back. He decided to be nice because he wanted to keep my money. He said he would serve appetizers first, then just tell him when we wanted our entrees. I thought "geez, was it that hard?" Have tried this place twice, chicken fried rice is very bland but the egg rolls are good. The sesame chicken needs work. The chicken pieces are way too small for the dish so they get over cooked and are hard. While the service is ok they food isn't worth it so I will not be returning. read more

This is hands down my favorite restaurant of this type ever. The food is so delicious. Always fresh to order, consistently good, the chicken is always juicy and tender and not filled with rubbery brown spots, I can order things without certain elements which is usually a no go because of pre made things. And everyone here has always been polite, smiling, friendly and the establishment is incredibly clean and tidy. Ordered easily online from website. However, if my meal is Spicy Szechuan Beef then it is a version I have never eaten. I brought this to their attention and was told these are what the dish comes with. Their food is always good and hot. my only complaint is their inattention to detail. every time I have ordered food from them to be delivered I have requested a specific time for the delivery and they show up at least an hour early. yesterday I placed an order and asked for it to be delivered at a certain time. because of the previous incidents I made a note in the comment section stating to please look at the delivery time. unfortunately they still showed up an hour early. Do not patronize this business. I came home today to a door-hanger for this place. I decided to give them a shot at delivery because I was tired and didn't want to go out. Big mistake. I placed my order and began to wait for the food. After waiting over an hour, I called the restaurant and was informed that I would have my food in 5 to 10 minutes. 30 minutes after that I was calling the restaurant to cancel the order when the doorbell finally rang. It took over 2 hours to bring my food. Even more unfortunately, the food was not even particularly good when it arrived. Wasted money, wasted time, wasted night. First, let me say this, my friends said their meals were good so kudos to the chef however... the Asian man at the counter (who seems to be the owner) was so rude, condescending and obnoxious that we considered leaving. The only reason we didn't was because the Thai restaurant around the corner that we really like was closed for Memorial Day (the food there is great and the ladies don't yell at their customers). My friends ate their meals in the restaurant but I had to do a take out because I was so irritated by this man's conduct. Two people came in while we were there and actually left because of this man's attitude, he actually yelled at the people. Every time they asked about something on the menu, he yelled something I didn't understand. They looked at each as if to say, what? I don't understand how people in that area could put up with such rudeness by supporting this business. I typically can't find the time to write reviews but someone needs to tell him that his behavior is not acceptable! I visit the area occasionally to see my son and would gladly revisit this restaurant if not for this horrible experience. This man needs to change his bad attitude, fix his personal problems or never interact with customers again. If he is the owner, he needs to know that he is losing business because of his behavior. If he is not the owner, then the owner needs to know that if he plans to stay open it would be best to remove this person from customer interaction or do take out/delivery only. There were two young men there one who worked the counter and one who was doing delivery, both seemed pleasant and were helpful. They seem to sense that when people are sending their hard earned dollars they need to at least be treated with respect. read more
