Well this is a heart wrenching review to write, but a very necessary one none the less. For most of us losing a longtime companion is a devastating and paralyzing event. Whether it is due to old age, a long battle with disease or as in my case, a devastatingly fast one brought on by terminal gastrointestinal lymphoma. The owners and staff at Pet Meadows keep you informed every step of the way in the care of your baby's mortal remains. You can contact them with any questions either by email (if, like me you just can't bring yourself to even speak the words) or by phone. And they will take all the time you need and answer any questions you have with such patience and respect that I can't even put into enough words how grateful I am for this. I did have to call them regarding my baby girls arrangements, as I had already purchased a custom urn for her. And Susan was so sweet and was so helpful and patient. And even pulled up the information on my baby boy who I lost last year so we could reference size. Their Urns are excellent quality and there are many styles to choose from. Whether you want a simple glass urn, or an ornate cherry wood urn. They will accommodate you. Lastly, the one thing most people are concerned about... "Am I REALLY getting MY baby's ashes?" That answer is a big ole YES! They will even let you be there during the cremation if you wish (I was a vet tech for over 20 years but that was a big NOPE!) Their turn around time is not fast. On average it's right at about a week depending on their case load. So if a crematorium says 1-2 days.... be suspicious. I would absolutely recommend Pet Meadows. read more

I really appreciated the service I received here. When I first called, they picked up pretty quickly and gave me the answers I needed as this was my first time losing a pet and getting them cremated. I would say their prices are pretty affordable compared to other places and they offer reasonably priced momentos for your pet such as getting their paw print in clay and/or ink. They even offer fur clippings. They give you time to say goodbye to your fur baby, and I'm so grateful I had that opportunity. I was told I had to wait a week to receive everything but our precious frenchie came back home within 5 days. Great service, lovely momentos, and sweet staff members. I don't wish to return anytime soon but if the day ever comes again, I would most definitely come back here. read more

I called to get rates Saturday morning and Amy answered the phone and shared no empathy. it sounded like she was working for Chuck e cheese, "I can't help it" "well there's nothing I could do about it." I wasn't sure what to expect with cremation since this was my first time experiencing pet loss on my own as an adult. I had to unexpectedly put my car down and was very concerned about the cremation process but too upset to call and ask. When I picked up my ashes I was pleasantly surprised. I did the basic package couldn't afford much but we got the basic which came with a marble printed plactic it looks really nice tho better than the black plastic tub my father ashes came in. This is a 2 part review as I feel that I received service from two different companies. My pet passed on Saturday morning, and the pickup at my home was very professional. Mr. Curt answer the phone call right away and within the hour he was at our home. He treated my dog with respect, explained everything and get the name of our pet for the paw print. He offered to drop it the next day, but we told him we will pick it up at their office Monday morning. The office service is a very different story. I came by at noon and Amy, the office manager, didn't know what I am talking about. Gave her the name of my dog and nothing. The paw print was not done and they went back to start doing it. Because everything was payed on Saturday, I asked about the price of each thing done, (she was giving me different amounts from what Curt told me on Saturday) and her answer was: whatever they charge you was the correct amount. So now I am getting nervous knowing that she is not aware of anything that happened Saturday, and I am not even sure if they got the right dog for the paw print as there is no paperwork of any kind. She told me that I have to take her word. Offered me to see the process of the paw print, but I was not going to have a look at my poor dog frozen for 2 days. Then she called Curt so he can explained me. And after telling him that I was worried that the office didn't know anything about my pet, his answer was: Your pet is in the freezer, you are welcome to take it somewhere else and have a refund. What a heartless thing to say. While I was still in the call, Amy gave me the paw print without the name of my dog. Unbelievable. read more

They were extremely unethical and unprofessional. Took more than the time they said to cremate my dog and when I got everything back her name was spelled wrong. So I had to wait an additional week just to get the stuff corrected. When I picked up the corrected forms, the date for the cremation was different from the original one I had received. So it makes me wonder if they even know what date they did it or if it was my dog that they cremated. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

My boy copper was taken care of and given back to me in a beautiful cedar box with his paw print and place for a picture of my sweet boy. I didn't have the ability at the time to make any decision, yet there was Amy on the other end of the phone treating me as if I were her family.
