From the first to last interaction with Pet Meadow, the team was amazing at handling my deceased dog and my requests with the utmost care and respect. My dog passed in Austin, and upon learning that an "attended cremation" aka a viewing/wake was an option that could be done at the crematory location in Houston, I opted to take a day trip to spend some final moments with my dog before they took him back for cremation. Their attended cremation slots do book up, so it was a couple of weeks before I was able to bring him home. In the 2 weeks before my attended cremation date, I called Pet Meadow to modify my keepsakes order, and every interaction with them was top notch customer service. This was my first time losing a pet, so I was not sure what to expect with an attended cremation. The staff prepared and set up my dog beautifully, and the ambiance was private, peaceful, and respectful. He looked just like he was asleep. They encourage you to bring your other pets to the attended cremation if you wish, so I brought my other dog with me to ensure she got a sniff of brother for closure, as my boy did not pass while she was around. All in all, I'm glad we landed with Pet Meadow to handle the cremation & keepsakes of my beloved pet. I would gladly use their services again. The staff at this location were so caring and kind. The staff was amazingly helpful, They were all so very nice, and got my little pluto out so quickly. It took less than 2 business days to get me back my keepsakes and her. I had a really positive experience with Pet Meadow. The Sunday afternoon that my sweet dog passed away at home, all the vets were closed. I messaged Pet Meadow and they were very kind and responsive. They were also able to pick my girl up within an hour of her passing. Once she arrived at their facility, I was made aware that they offer attended cremations. I was on the fence about whether or not to do this and had lots of questions for the Pet Meadow team. They were extremely helpful, compassionate about my loss, and patient. The standout employee I interacted with was Michael Brown. I decided not to attend the cremation, but I wanted extra assurances that they would return the right cremains to me. I was a ball of nerves thinking that something would get mixed up at the crematory and I wouldn't be the wiser. I couldn't have been more wrong. Michael explained their process for tagging and tracking pets from beginning to end and even went to check on my Zoey personally. He confirmed her identity with me over the phone and that gave me so much peace of mind. At no point was he dismissive of my questions or concerns. He treated me with so much kindness and I know he treated my wonderful dog with compassionate care before her cremation. I am so so grateful for the Pet Meadow team! read more

I was extremely disappointed when I pick Thor today and found my Great Dane had ashes were in box half the size of Pepper's who had been cremated in June 2025. I thought I was getting a paw print that was going to be imprinted in clay but it was on a piece of paper. Pepper's paw print was in clay. I actually paid $100.00 more than when Pepper was cremated. I guess I should have to taken Thor to vet clinic instead of dropping him off myself. read more

We had to urgently put down our 17 yr old Shih tzu at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist. We chose a private cremation with a clay paw print. Since, this was our first dog, we didn't know what to expect. In 2 weeks, the hospital called and said our baby's remains were ready. The receptionist brought out a bag with Pet Meadow on it. I looked inside and noticed everything was nicely packaged. The paw expression (from Gulf Coast) had a slot for her picture and in it was nice sympathy note. Her remains were placed in a nice wooden box with a lock and key with her name memorialized on it. Also, there was a sweet card that included their condolences of our loss and certification of private cremation. I was very pleased on how her remains were handled. I had the worst possible experience I received from Pet Meadow, so it won't EVER happen to anyone else and their babies! February 25th, I had to put my 14-year-old, 3-pound, white and brown Pomeranian baby to sleep at Sunset Hospital and requested a private cremation. I received an email that night to confirm my information, my baby's weight, breed, and color, and that it was to be a private cremation. After receiving confirmation and picking up the ashes it was very apparent that the remains were not that of my baby. The weight and prints were too much for him and the color of the fur I received came from a black dog. After notifying Sunset Hospital it took many attempts to get ahold of someone that could help. A few days later the manager from Pet Meadow finally got a hold of me and they said the remains were not of Maximus but a different dog. First, they said that they had no idea where my dog was, and they needed to investigate what had happened. On March 8th the manager came to pick up the ashes that I had and told me that this dog had been scheduled to be cremated with other animals (mass cremated), and the ashes were not kept. She said that there had been some mix-up and somehow the 2 ID tags that belonged to my baby had been switched out with this other pet, and my dog had been mass cremated, and they had none of the prints or ashes to give me! I was told that the "individuals responsible had been spoken to"! I have already been going through a tremendously stressful and emotional time because of his passing only to be told this additional traumatizing news. I am appalled, angry, and hurt that a place that states that "Pet Meadow is an accredited pet aftercare provider" who I "can be confident that your pet is in the best hands" could make such a huge error like this, resulting in so much hurt and loss to me! I don't understand how a loved pet can so carelessly be switched, and not one but two ID tags on a dog that stays with the pet! How was it that no one checked the paperwork during this process to ensure the right dog was getting the correct cremation and to mix up a 3-pound white and brown dog for a 20-pound black dog??? This is not some small "accident" to allow ever to happen!! This was my baby of 14 years, who I loved and cared so much for Please DO NOT trust this establishment with the safe aftercare of your pet!! I am angry that this ever was allowed to happen and that the clumsy, carelessness, and thoughtlessness of this establishment allowed such a huge error, resulting in the hurt I am going through. I am now left with nothing to put into the little urn I had custom-made for him. read more

This company has the worst customer service ever- especially when a family is grieving over their beloved pet. My sweet Sunny passed away on July 2 at 2:45 am with the best team at the Emergency Hospital of Collin Co. The staff informed me that her body was being shipped later that day to Houston, to Texas Pet Meadow. I received numerous emails and text messages regarding when I would be receiving her remains and to go online to confirm information . She was expected to "ship to me on July 5." I spoke with a gentleman on July 3 after having difficulty with their website. He was rude and very short answering my questions. He said she was being "shipped out on Friday, July 5." Hurricane Beryl, hit Houston on July 8. I did not have Sunshine's remains a week later, Friday, July 12 and sent an email inquiring when I would receive them. No response. On Monday, July 15, I spoke to the same man and he said, "Oh Sunny is here on the shelf. UPS has not picked her up, I don't know why. We didn't have electricity for 4 days because of the hurricane. I will have her sent out tomorrow, I promise. I am sorry about this." The hurricane was 3 days AFTER you promised to "ship her out." The UPS label was made YESTERDAY, July 18, Texas Pet Meadow! I finally received my sweet Sunny's remains, today- 2 weeks after you wrote they would be shipped out. I also received a "print" of of her paws. Anyone who ever met Sunny knows, these are not her paw prints, just computer generated paw prints. Is this how you do business Texas Pet Meadow? You should be ashamed of yourself for blaming UPS for YOUR obvious lack of professionalism, slopiness and blatant lack of empathy.
