Have to be careful choosing a car here. They buy a bunch of cars from auction with a bank loan. The bank has the titles so you have to pay a title fee and "docs" fee because they don't own the cars. They don't know what they have in the lot. They wait for customers to find out what's wrong with the cars. Every car in there system shows that they are losing money on the sale. That's a sales technique. They won't lower the price for you but they will lower it if it's not bought in a period of time. Buyer beware. My son bought a 2020 Kia Shortage LX on July 12. On July 22 he was driving down the highway when the engine seized up. Thankfully he was able to get off the road safely. Our mechanic found metal shavings in the engine oil. He said the engine needs replacing to the tune of $6,000! When contacted Cherokee Auto Sales, Highway 92 in Acworth refused to help us in any way. They delivered an unsafe piece of junk to my son and did not care that he could have been killed. Went to view a 2007 GT mustang. We asked 2 sales people if anything was wrong with the car. They both said no, and that they don't put cars up for sale unless the cars have been inspected and fixed. So we view the car, test drive it and we found the following issues: 1. only 1 windshield wiper 2. white smoke coming from the exhaust 3. AC makes a popping noise on multiple settings 4. Brakes are deadly 5. Alignment is needed 6. And cosmetics (which is to be expected) but the interior was pretty bad. But nothing was wrong with the car? So we go back to talk numbers. Travis doesn't budge on the price even with all the issues we found that he claimed were not there. He stated the price was already reduced. If we are ready to buy, cash in hand (literally), why wouldn't there be any negotiation? There were many red flags and tbh we probably dodged a huge bullet. This place is great. I'm struggling right now and they can see it. but i bought a 2012 VW Passat diesel from them in March. And the def blue system went down. This is stuff you have to put into a separate tank in the trunk for diesel cars and trucks only. Well when mine went down they tried to fix it by resetting it well that didn't work. Be careful with this dealership... Long story short I was interested in a vehicle but I had some concerns about the AC not working. Then Hunter (the young, white, male) told me that the owner has no problem fixing the AC for me he just needs to know that he has a buyer for it before he fixes it. Test drive the car everything else checked out, got out of the vehicle and said "you fixed that AC you have yourself a sale" put my $500 for down payment, and told him call me when it's ready for pickup. I actually had to call him back for the next three business days in a row, after some procrastination and poor communication and perhaps lack of professionalism, he finally informed me what the cost of the AC would be... After a bit of a confused pause, considering I thought I was waiting on them to just fix the AC, he then tried to pretend like he never told me that the owner would fix the AC and transferred me to his boss Amy mid conversation, Amy nonchalantly said that that's not their policy and Hunter wouldn't tell me that since he knows the policy, and that there's nothing she could do about it. She even tried to insist that it was simply my misunderstanding. So it seems their sales strategy is to lie to tell you that they will fix something in order to get you to put money down and rope you into buying it then they pull the bait and switch and say they never said that. They never gave me an option to put money down on it, they never offered me any option to purchase it because the car needed to have the mechanic fix something the next day. Don't waste your time. I called about a 2014 Passat and was told by Ed that it was not available to be test drive as it needed to go to VW to have the radio software updated. I waited a few days and spoke with Leslie and Dominic and they said the car was available and they the work was scheduled but we could come by and test drive it. Dominic warned us before the drive that radio and nav did not work but they had an appointment on Wednesday to take get it fixed. On the drive the nav and radio worked and Dominic figured he just had the car confused with another one. Car seemed nice and clean although I was concerned because the windshield wiper had a yellow and blue zip tie on it, which is an AutoNation indicator they have inspected and cleaned the car, so I was concerned that AutoNation would pass on this apparently clean good Passat, and I even found the AutoNation tag in the trunk. Anyhow when I contacted Dominic on Monday and asked about why the car had gone through AutoNation and that I would like the radio and nav to be serviced by VW before I purchased it, Dominic told me that he spoke with the owner(his nephew) and he said we would have the radio fixed for an additional $500. It went from the having it fixed on Wednesday to I have to pay for the privilege of having them having it fixed for me. Dominic even had the gall to make it seemed like I misunderstood and all their cars are sold as is regardless of if they planned on having it fixed or not. Long story short don't trust them and remember cars are as is and you can expect there is problems. Oh Dominic even told me while I was there he could show me cars on the lot that I shouldn't buy because of the problems they have. read more

please, please, please save your time, money and sanity and do not deal with these shady people. i have compassion for people and really dont like when companies like this treat people wrong. i attempted to purchase a car on 8/23/24. today is 9/18/2024 and now i am out $2500 cash and have no car! it's been a nightmare not having a car when my husband and i have 4 kids and ourselves to get around. people are out here struggling to survive and these people are taking people's money and doing people wrong! they refuse to give my $2500 cash back, but the car is in their possession and now i have no car!! it was gonna cost us another $1200 to fix all the issues we noticed within a few days of having the car, including issues they were aware of before we left the lot. they were fully aware the "service airbag" light was on before we left the lot with the car and we were told they would address it once i came back in to sign the reassignment paperwork. 3 days after driving the car a 4wd light came on and the a/c went out!! we had to drive around ga in 90+ degree weather with no a /c and with small children in the car!! just awful!!!! once we brought it back in, we were told several things needed to be replaced and one being an a/c compressor! all would cost $1200+!! amy (manager/finance manager) was trying to make it seem like $1200 isnt a lot of money to just dish out unexpectedly. my husband and i were extremely upset about the whole situation and left. they called a few days after we stormed out of their office and said they would replace the ac compressor for free, because apparently they found one in a junk yard, but we had to pay for a $600 part to fix the 4wd light, as if they were doing us a favor! $600 is a lot of money when you've already given them $2500! they didn't even mention the airbag light being fixed and we were told by amy, verbatim, "we sell cars with airbag lights on all the time!" how dangerous? also, we were never offered a warranty!! i repeat, we were never offered a warranty!! amy lied and said she offered us one but never did! we did our paperwork with travis, when was the warranty offered if you weren't even there while we were filling out our paperwork? she absolutely did not! she never even mentioned warranty! everything was rushed the day we bought the car and we know for a fact there was not a warranty offered! we definitely would have bought a warranty! i refused to pay them any money to fix it, so they agreed if i didnt sign the reassignment paperwork then i could leave the car and the deal would be "dead", but they refused to give me my $2500 down payment back!! amy in finance is an awful human being! she acts like she cares when she's making a deal and then switches up and doesn't want to deal with you if you have any problems!!! they could have at least offered to put us in another car! they are horrible, horrible people! i asked amy who the owner was so i could escalate the situation and she told us she was the owner, another lie!!! the owner is jamey richman and he refused to talk to us about the situation! my husband went to talk to him and he told him he doesn't talk to customers! his response, "i dont talk to customers, that's why i pay amy!" he was rude from the start and didn't even give my husband a chance to talk to him man to man!! i just want my money back! i'm going on every social media site to get the word out about this shady company. my posts will reach someone and hopefully keep them away from this horrible place!! listen to me and dont learn the hard way! in an economy where so many people are sturggling to survive, they will take your money and leave you stranded! read the bad reviews and believe them! it's all true!!! amy or whoever handles their review responses is going to get on this post and try to put the blame on us, but the only thing we did wrong was deal with these people in the first place! stay away from this place! there are better places with better, more reliable cars! read more

Came in on Tuesday after seeing some of the cars listed online. We were greeted quickly and the sales staff was not pushy- the only reason this place gets 2 stars. Every car we looked at had issues- serious issues. We looked at a total of 3 cars. The first was a 2016 jeep Cherokee, we got the keys the car would not crank because of the battery being dead. When popping the hood there was many broken and cracked pieces under the hood. All 4 tires had the wires showing on them- and not a little. It was literally to the extent that it would be extremely dangerous to even test drive the car. The car had an obvious alignment problem. The second was a 2014 jeep Cherokee. This one would also not crank when we tried- battery also dead. The inside of the windshield was wet, water was leaking in and the seats were molded and there was an extreme musty smell. It also had a flat tire. The 3rd was a buick enclave. This one we were actually able to crank but when we did the car sounded terrible. In conclusion it does not seem like this lot takes very good care of their cars. Allowing cars that have tires that are dangerous for anyone to drive on them. They cant even take the time to keep the cars in test driveable condition. When looking at the cars online they are an extreme misrepresentation to what you will see in person. They take the pictures in a manner that does not show any flaws in the car. Resulting in a complete waste of time even coming to the lot. We left without purchasing anything. read more

Where do I start. From the moment I walked in the place it was unorganized and unprofessional. The building looked dirty and unkept. We were greeted by Leslie . She presented herself like she couldn't count to 10. The car I was looking at was low on gas so she suggested we go to the gas station. At the station she gave me $10. I walked into pay and she asked my wife in the car, "why is he going inside. Can't he enter the $10 straight into the pump like a vending machine". My wife looked at her dumbfounded and smiled. I asked if I could put a large deposit down and pay the rest when I got back bec I want to have the car checked by a local mechanic. She said I could leave a deposit but it is non refundable. I tried to negotiate a price and she responded the price is the Price. I asked her to call her manager so I can talk to him. She said it was her brother in law and he will laugh at that price and hang up on me. Reluctantly, I said fine and agreed to pay full price. I called local repair shops to see if I could get an appointment to look at the car and nothing was available. When I got off the phone sales Leslie was helping another customer. She did not even look up or care that I wanted to talk more about the offer. She was busy working on her next sale. I had a full price offer and she could have cared less. Before going to this dealer I read the reviews and was concerned by what they had to say but still wanted to make up my own mind and have my own opinion. My experience was great. Wasn't pressured, there was an ease when being serviced by Dominic. He expressed to me how he had the same car as me and traded it in as well for a Volvo. Overall I'm happy I went to see for myself. They encouraged me to get the warranty and I did as well as gap insurance. I am happy with vehicle I found and even more thrilled to have had a great experience. read more

Hanna Montana (Yep, that's her real name) answered the phone and I made an off comment that I know you have heard all the jokes about your name. She was obviously offended and proceeded to be rude and offensive. I tried to just move on from the initial contact and asked to speak to a sales representative and this woman said "I am a sales rep, what can I do for you." The way she said it let me know she was feeling some type of way. She was short and rude and I knew it would only get worse. I said "Nothing" and hung up the phone. We called this morning and they said they would keep us updated. Then when we found out it wasn't there, they couldn't keep up with the vehicles there because they sell 81 cars a month. I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Thirty miles from the dealership, the check engine light came on and it began running very rough. I contacted Travis (Salesman) and he told me to bring it back in. They kept it for two additional days for repairs. A few days after I got it back, the same issue happened. I contacted Travis via phone and email. He said he had forwarded the issue to management. I tried a couple more time but got no response. I even offered to pay for the parts if they would cover the labor. My local mechanic said repairs will be $500 to $1500 based on the extent of the damages found when work is done. It is illegal to sale a vehicle in the Metro Atlanta area with emission issues and emissions issue do not fall under any "as is" sales agreement. This issue existed prior to the sale and can be proven by the vehicle history scan that will be done when it is repaired. Meanwhile, I will be making my first payment on a vehicle that I cannot trust to operate until I can afford to have it repaired and then hopefully small claims court will get my money back. There is a reason they have poor ratings on Yelp and the BBB. It can happen to you. Buy elsewhere. read more

They tweaked my car to make it appear there was nothing wrong with it and before I got it home 1 hour from the dealership I started having issues! First there was a ticking under my dash. I had to replace a blendor actuator which meant the entire dash had to come out. Then I had to replace tensioner pulley! Then o2 sensors. Then the battery. Then an air compressor because the air quit working. Now I'm having either transmission or catalytic converter issues and I bought the car at the beginning of July. My nephew went to buy a car and long story short he made a $2500 down payment but the loan didn't go through because of an insurance issue so the car was returned the next day but the $2500 was not returned to him.
