I read the reviews, but decided to take the 40+ minute drive anyhow hoping I would be delightfully surprised. Arrived to a jam packed lot. My hubby and I watched the employees watch us pull in and park, get out of the car, stand around for several minutes, and then a gentleman finally came out to ask if we needed assistance. The vehicle advertised for sale failed to note a motor was needed. The gentleman advised there wasn't enough room to note on the website that the vehicle doesn't have a motor. He then asked did we have another vehicle in mind. We politely declined and promptly left. Bait and Switch people, don't waste your time; it's not worth the drive. I accept some blame for not doing my due diligence and calling first to confirm the vehicle had a motor, especially after reading these reviews; lol, I'll take majority of the blame. Good experience overall. I was a little nervous when I first arrived because the dealership doesn't look so good. Just sayin'. However the car we purchased was good, with accurate miles and no mechanical flaws. This has continued to be the case over the last two months. Jennifer was THE best and is the reason the sale went through! She was patient and worked to get the numbers in the right place for us to move forward with the sale. Jennifer is a 5 but I can only give the dealership itself four stars because there was damage to the vehicles exterior which was not reflected on the Auto Check and other vehicles we looked at had obvious bodywork that was not done well. Terrible. Sold me a Sentra with a bad transmission then either no one was able or willing to speak with me about it less than a week later. They're more than happy to help while in the sales process but won't stand behind what they sell. They did eventually offer to replace the transmission with a rebuilt one .........if I paid an extra 3500.00. SMH these people are awful. Also they still call me wanting a 500.00 down payment when I returned the car before ever making the first payment. I was told that they either never got it from the previous seller (according to the salesman) or were given the title and lost it. When I went to Cherokee auto sales I Bought a 2014 genesis coupe. I owned it for 26 days and it blew up. It had a raddle they told me it was a heat shield raddle. I left the car there twice trying to have mike fix it. They also didn't wash or wax my car like they said they would. Brandon on the other hand seems to be honest, but he's still underneath Jamie in which has the final word. I purchased a car and was promised a navigation cd and programming. I've had to go back after purchasing a total of 5 times, and it still hasn't been resolved. It was written out that they'd program my navigation. Brandon tried and tried to program this cd and asked Jamie "what will be done if the next step doesn't work" and he continues to give Brandon the run-around and will not offer resolution (other coming back another day). I'll most likely have to get this resolved in court. My word of advice is to take your $ elsewhere. It's simply isn't worth the hassle in the long run. Now it has been 4 months still have not been fixed and the staff isnt aloud to do anything unless Jamie says they can but Jamie is never there everytime I have called he has been in Florida for a convention or on vacation so now I am having to deal with a lawyer and the finance company. A few things need to be noted before I write this review: To adequately paint the picture of my experience, I will use quotes from the "salesman" I had the misfortune of interacting with. Therefore, there is going to be profanity. Another would be that I gave CherokeeAuto ample opportunity to save face with me before I write this, and I even told them I would be writing a review regarding my experience if I didn't hear from them. Most of the bad reviews of CherokeeAuto seem to be unwarranted and improperly articulated. Let me assure you, this one star review is warranted. This review is meant to help the readers make a better decision. I have dealt with CherokeeAuto before and I had a good experience. I dealt with the manager directly, and he made it all black and white. I have a background of car sales and I appreciated his willingness to negotiate with me in order to make a deal where we both end up happy. This transaction occurred a year and a half ago (April 2014). I purchased a 2004 Acura TL for $6.5k with 150k on the odometer. The manager showed me his file on the car which recorded the dealerships purchase price at auction of $6k. I bought the car before the mechanic had even given it a once over or cleaned it. This car was not well taken care of, but I have improved most of it's faults on my own. Fast forward to this week (October 2015). I bring my Acura in to seek out a possible trade in. I want to start driving for Uber, but I need an 05+ vehicle. I had already found the cars I wanted to look at online, before I showed up at the dealership. I walk around the lot for about one minute before I am greeted by what I could only assume to be a homeless man. He's about 60 years old wearing a sleeveless shirt, with the aroma of an ashtray about his person. He asks me if he can help me, and I briefly explain my situation. Now, a good salesman will find some common ground with a potential buyer by creating a rapport through friendly dialogue. This "salesman's" idea of that was to ask about my window tint on my car. It's very dark. In between cigarette drags he says, "Man, if I drove through fuckin Woodstock with that I'd be gettin pulled over left and right" This was one of the first things he said to me. I will not elaborate on all the cars I looked at and all of the ridiculous things this guy said, but there are some highlights I'd like to share. When I wanted to look at a Toyota Camry, he says "Did you hear about the investigation Toyota is under?" I said no. He says "They're under investigation for selling cars to ISIS". I'm not making that up. He literally said that to me. I was looking at a Hyundai Sonata and as soon as I got in it he said "I don't like it. This car's a piece of shit". I'm serious! This guy said those exact words to me. I asked him how much I could beat them up on the price of a car I wanted, his reply "Man the prices are just so good. I tell you what, go and find another car for this price". The weird thing is, the prices of this dealership are the same as every other buy here pay here. The last time I came here, they were willing to negotiate to make a deal. This man had possessed the stupidity and downright unprofessionalism to talk about his political stance with me. What kind of salesman does that? One last quote, before I end with the ultimate reason for this review. "I'm an acting man myself. Three weeks from now, I'll be in films. Not doing this bullshit" So, aforementioned, I purchase this car for 6.5k. The dealership made 500 bucks and didn't have to deal with any of the car's issues. The dealership purchased my car at auction for 6K and planned to make a profit on it. With ~15k more miles, they are only willing to give me 2500 on trade in. When I was told this, I asked the salesman "Why are you willing to pay 3500 less than you paid 15k miles ago?" He threw up his hands and shrugged his shoulders. He told me he couldn't do anything for me. Avoid CherokeeAuto if you expect to be treated courteously with professionalism, and remember, you get what you pay for. read more

These people are con artist!!!!! I purchased a 2008 Buick Enclave from them on October 21, 2016. The car would not start prior to us finalizing the deal. The Owner assured me it was just a bad battery and they changed it and sold me a 3 month warranty. I was told that I was financed by a bank named Gateway and we finalized the deal and I left around 9pm. The next morning my wife and I decided to get the car professionally detailed. Prior to us having the car cleaned we noticed a few roaches in the vehicle. We went and purchased a few roach foggers and decided to use 2 of them just to be sure there wasn't any serious infestation but to our surprise when we looked inside the vehicle an hour after we deployed the foggers. There were dead roaches everywhere. We used a total of 9 Foggers on October 22, 2016 and we were still finding roaches. On Sunday October 23, 2016. I called the dealership and told them I wanted to return the car. Ed (One of the salesman there) said he didn't handle those types of issues and told me I needed to call back on Monday morning and talk to a manager. I contacted Gateway on Monday morning October 24, 2016 (The Bank I was supposedly financed through) at 8am to tell them that I did not want them to finance me for this "Roach Mobile" and that I was returning the vehicle to the dealership. The representative at Gateway told me that my financing was declined by them. So at this point I am thinking great! I can return this car with no hassle since I'm not financed by the bank for it. I get back to Cherokee Auto Sales and they tell me they will have the vehicle professionally exterminated but I decline their offer. I told them I just did not want this vehicle and besides Gateway did not approve my financing anyway. The office manager there named Liz told me that my financing was denied by Gateway so therefore I was financed through Cherokee Auto sales. I told her that was not what I was told at the time of purchase nor did I agree to being financed by Cherokee Auto Sales. She told me that I signed a document saying that the dealership owned my financing and that they sale the financing agreements to Banks if they can find a bank or lender willing to buy the loans. I told them that is very underhanded and misleading. Regardless of who was financing the vehicle I told them that I no longer wanted it! They said if I left the vehicle on their lot it would be considered a voluntary repossession. Again I did not care! I left that roach infested POS car on their lot. Then on Tuesday October 25, 2016 they had the audacity to call me and ask me when was I coming back to get my car. I told them again I did not want that car. So they then told me they would be taking legal action against me. I told them to do what they have to do! This people are corrupt. Do yourself a favor and buy a car from a certified pre-owned dealership. These people sale shitty cars and they lie about your vehicle financing!!!! I welcome these MF'ers to take me to court. I bought a car from these guys and traded mine in . Before the purchase was done, everything was smooth and the halo was shining above their heads (brandon and jamie) . After I signed the papers, everything went down hill. I bought warranty from them and 1 week later I went to cancel it and they refused, they said you have to wait 30 days before you cancel (to make sure they get their profit) and when I told them there's no where in the contract that states that, they kept ignoring me and refused to cancel it. I called my attorney and 2 mins later brandon called me and started changing his statement saying he meant that it will take up to 30 days and when I confronted him about his lies he said "well, jamie is the owner I can't do anything about it., and will you come here talk to me face to face like a man or are you going to call your attorney ... " wtf? now they want to talk face to face? Anyways, the warranty was cancelled and 2 months later I haven't received my money, looks like I'm taking them to court.
