I'm leaving this honest review based off of a very negative experience I had at this dealership. I will begin by telling you that my father managed multiple dealerships in the Atlanta area and I am very familiar with how the industry is supposed to work. This dealership dropped the ball in 3 different phases and refused to satisfy the customer in every attempt I made. I gave them more then one opportunity to correct it and management wasn't competent enough to correct it. A) I was sold a vehicle that was "Toyota Certified" price. I found out soon after from someone in the industry that certifies vehicles that this vehicle should not have been sold as Certified. B) I specifically told the sales person that I could not afford to take on a new loan unless I had a 90 day grace period. Neither the sales person nor the finance manager told me that I was signing loan paperwork that required me to begin payments the next month. I went into deeper credit card debt because of this. C) There was a crack in the windshield that my wife noticed before we left the lot. I didn't see it because I have EMBD which is an eye condition that doesn't allow me to see details. The sales person said that he would have someone repair it. That repair never happened because the repair person never called me back after I gave him my information and set up an appointment. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. Due to this experience, I would not recommend anyone do business there. They do not run an honest and tight ship. There's something "off" going on at this dealership. Do business somewhere else and you will be glad you didn't do business with them. read more

I'm so impressed with Cherokee County Toyota! I usually dread going to dealerships, but this was truly the best and easiest car-buying experience I've ever had -- all thanks to Hakeem. He went above and beyond to make everything simple and never made me feel pressured. So, the GM, Doug Perrin of Cherokee County Toyota responded to an email I sent and informed that he would not be doing anything additional for my situation or my vehicle after reviewing my on line reviews and my concerns. He stated that, after meeting with his service advisors, he would not be going forward with any kind of help for me. My truck is fixed (correctly), but they have done zero to make things right. We are talking about A LOT of money. Soon after that email to me, the director of services at Cherokee County Toyota called me to address the emails and calls to the dealership. Well. 3 weeks for a bumper repair for the paint to have drips in it in multiple places and gouges on a brand new part they ordered. I chose this shop because it says they only use OEM parts. Which is untrue. They use OEM parts when it's out of your own pocket but not from insurance. I'm sure they won't give me any type of money back or even offer to fix it. Love having to have a car and the company that manufactured my vehicle can't even do work on it without it coming out wonky. I had my car up at the dealership just to get 4 TPMS sensors. The service advisor Bobby said it would be done by Monday and would get a call back. I had to call him multiple times and eventually he told me would now be the next day. I told him I needed it back by tomorrow he said no problem. Well guess what he was off never got a call. we bought a 2024 Highlander and enjoy it very much. My mistake was in not checking out the service department. When you purchase from the dealer there can be many warrantied service visits. Cherokee Toyota does not like these customers. We generate no revenue for them so you are moved to the back of the line for service. I visited there Wednesday for my scheduled check and was treated rudely and my questions ignored. I have a 2024 so I just had a few questions that my service writer Christian did not know the answer to. I tried contacting the Service Director to get the problem resolved, but he would not speak to me. Beware before you spend that hard earned money of what you're getting into. Leon in sales was great to work with as well as the sales manager. I always felt like they were fair to me in both purchases and everything went smoothly. The issue I have is the service department and the dealership in general is only going to be as best as the other department. I will no longer be purchasing or servicing my vehicle here. We were just going out to look for a new suv for my wife but I not be buying from them. The first service encounter was with Josh for my 23 Tacoma. The seat belt mechanism failed and I could no longer buckle my driver side belt. Josh informed me the part would be delivered in a few days and explained I cannot be offered a rent a car although the belt is inoperable. He explained that he is acknowledging the seatbelt for the driver side is not working but it's not a liability to them since he made me aware of it- what kind of service is this ? The truck had maybe 7k miles? Just recently I brought in a 24 Tacoma sport with 2,500 miles for sluggish transmission. I just had cleaned the inside cabin a few day prior to bringing it in. The cabin was absolutely filthy upon pickup. It looked as if it was deliberately done. White chalk everywhere. I mean everywhere. I didn't even take half the pictures such as sides of the seats and under the dashboard. The cabin still smells like mechanic oil a week later. Leon can attest that am a very easy going customer. By all means I am not that particular customer that people have to walk egg shells around. I am a genuinely nice person. Look at these pictures. The app informed me my widows were lowered prior to close the day I brought it in on my Toyota app. I guess they were trying to air out the oil instead of cleaning my cabin. Cherokee county Toyota taught us a very valuable lesson, that we thought we already knew. You can't trust a car salesman. Miss. Aimee and her team. We bought new 2025 Rav 4 . Miss ,Aimee told us book the car and we gonna provide u a rental vehicle and you don't have to pay the rental money as well because you buying a new car which is zero mileage from Cherokee Toyota that's the deal. Unfortunately, we signed all the paperwork and I took my new car to drive at home. They go behind on my credit card and they charge me $800 for my rental vehicle so I called the Toyota and miss Aimee. They say of course we're gonna charge the rental vehicle Miss Aimee knows This is the wrong still she tried to convince with the manager manager told we can't do nothing once you sign the paperwork. I go physically at Cherokee Toyota. I try to reach Miss Aimee. Another sales person says she not available after that she come and meet me. I told her the whole story she say I talk to the manager and he say we can't do nothing if you stay here so we're gonna call the cops then I called the cops. It takes so long to cops arrive so I live from there, but please do not buy the vehicle from this dealer, they make you fool self person lie too much. They don't know how to provide the customer service. I gave this dealership one star because of their lack of communication, poor ability to put the customer first and inability to stand by their salesman's word. The dealership could have answered us kindly, tried to meet us halfway, and at least engaged with us in dealing with this manner. Instead, we were constantly brushed off, pushed aside and ignored. I've had four bad experiences here. First, when I bought my Highlander, we got down to 500 dollars and they wouldn't budge. My dad said walk out, so we did. We went to Atlanta Toyota and they instantly took my offer, and threw in an electric sunroof too. Second, I took that Highlander into Cherokee Toyota for oil change, balance and rotation. When I pulled away the car was pulling hard to the right. I took it back and they told me they didn't cause that and I would need a 120.00 alignment. I said it wasn't pulling like that when I brought it there, and the guy called me a liar. Third, I took my Highlander in for an oil change and when I drove away I noticed something splattered on my rear window. When I got out and looked there was oil splattered all over the rear hatch. I took it back and the service manager came out and said I must have run through something, which turned into a 10 minute argument. Lastly, I had my oil changed somewhere else and it immediately started leaking oil. I took it to Cherokee Toyota and they said the seals needed replacing, gonna cost about 1200.00. Well I took it to another place for a second opinion and they discovered the rubber gasket had been left off the oil pan plug. That's all it was, a 50 cent part, and never leaked another drop. And Cherokee Toyota said it needed new seals...psshht. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I bought new Goodyear tires Oct '24, it's now June '25 and they're still not right. I thought it was a balancing issue, but after 6 attempts at rebalancing in the Cher Co Toyota service dept, still no better. Even though they make the steering wheel vibrate badly at Hwy speeds, they are telling me the problem is a slightly warped rear wheel (Even though the old tires they took off had no problems at all). I took my truck to the high school shop where I teach and had the shop teacher look at them. He has a road force balancing machine and said 3 of the 4 tires are just "bad". I received an email from Cher Co Toyota asking me to review their performance. I ripped them of course, and received a return email asking for a chance to make it right. I responded to the service manager's "direct phone number " (not actually a direct line) and left 4 messages. I also responded with 2 emails, and never heard back. I like to spend my money in my home county, but I will never spend another dime at Cherokee County Toyota. read more

My first time here and it was a very nice experience. You're greeted right away with a smile and good morning. After getting logged in you wait in a very clean and comfy waiting room. I didn't have and appointment and the room had quite a few ahead of me. But all were covid spaced accordingly. I figured a long wait but they must have had a couple bays going because it was less than an hour with about 8 people in front of me. All in all a very pleasant experience. I used the service department for a couple of years after purchasing a 2004 Highlander. They were one of the few places that would let me bring my own oil, which was a huge plus because no one keeps the oil on hand except in quarts and the up charge was insane. I would dutifully make an appointment, and I learned quickly that means nothing. Apparently an appointment only gives you a time to talk to one of their service advisors. I would then proceed to sit in their service department for an hour until I was inevitably called to be offered a ridiculous amount of services my car did not in fact need. I know this because I had purchased the car from a Toyota employee who had in fact already done all the stuff they were recommending, and it would not be due for for a long time. Their multipoint inspection apparently purely consists of just noting the odometer reading. I could overlook this but driving thirty minutes to sit four hours for what was supposed to be a simple oil change multiple times has left me a bit salty. I relegated myself to just find somewhere closer to home and leave it at that, but we are now a year or so out from me taking my business elsewhere, and they have decided to call me weekly despite my numerous requests for them to remove my number from their records. So here is my 1 star review. Maybe this will convince them finally to leave me the heck alone. read more

My wife took our 2014 Avalon in for service. They told her it was ready, and when she paid and started to drive away the check engine light came on. She stopped the car immediately and went back into the service dept. Come to find out they had neglected to add oil when serviced. Although they apologized, this is the last time we will ever have our vehicles (we've bought several new cars from them) serviced there or buy a vehicle there again. The sales team was good. The vehicle was a complete lemon, bought brand new. Transmission slams and Toyota is playing around acting like I'm just gonna let them screw me on a 24,000 dollar car. Currently in review for lemon law and I will be getting a lawyer if they don't make it right. I will never buy another Toyota if they don't either. The car is so nice on the outside but when your family or friends are riding along with you in your brand new car and it slams, it's embarrassing. It's more embarrassing when the incompetent techs have no idea what kind of transmission is in the car. Had one tell me it's an "automatic". Had one say the cvt has 2 belts. The k120 cvt has 1 belt and a launch gear. So far this has been the worst experience I've ever had. I'd suggest before you buy a vehicle here you check out your other options or you'll be on the side of the road. Even had a tech tell me to wait until it completely breaks... absolutely laughable. read more

I have been a lifelong Toyota owner, two limited tundras, one limited rav4, and most recently a 2022 Limited Hybrid Highlander bought brand new. I always get my Toyotas serviced at a genuine Toyota dealership. I took my Highlander here for its 60k services, which is multi-point vehicle inspection, all filters inspection, oil and filter change, and then brought four brand new tires for mount and balance. This was my first and quite likely last ever visit to this dealership. The tires were mounted and balanced but the tech did not clean the inside of the premium chrome wheels or remove the old wheel weight adhesive residue. They simply stuck the new weights on top of the break dust, dirt, and old weight foam remnants. The weights are stickers with lead on them for those that don't know. How many of you have ever stuck a sticker on a dirty surface? They come off easier than a clean surface. Paying $40 a tire ($160 total), I expected the area to be wiped with a rag at bare minimum before placing the new weights. When speaking to Liz my advisor, she stated she didn't know (but has been doing this for 15 years......), and brought over the service manager who plain out said - nope, they're fine. When I explained my concern and knowledge (previous tire and lube tech with family 5 star factory certified mechanics), he wouldn't even agree that it's unreasonable to stick the weights on a dirty surface. Since I couldn't get my car back without paying, I paid but intend to speak to the locations general manager. When it comes to Toyota, I buy them due to their quality and value retention, I take servicing them seriously. This was something that was simply fixable and quite frankly takes no time to do it right the first time. When fixing it, only takes a moment also. I took the vehicle home, and inspected it further. The GPS tracker that dealer installed when purchased was still disconnected. The engine air filter box had no disturbed dust (never checked), the cabin air filter was never checked, the HV Battery Filter wasn't checked, the oil change reminder dash programming was not reset and is still calling for vehicle service. At this point I'm not even sure they did the oil change I paid for, at all. When I checked my own air filters, they need to be replaced, they didn't even check them otherwise could easily have sold those to me. TLDR: Service manager doesn't give a crap about quality or workmanship. 15 year service advisor Liz doesn't know basic maintenance needs and processes. Unable to validate multi-point inspection work ever done at all, nor all paid services. read more

As many reviews have said, you can't trust the sales department at this dealership to deliver what they promise. For me, I placed a deposit to reserve a new vehicle at a documented promised price and 13 months later when it was finally allocated, they added an extra 5k dollars market adjustment. Even after showing the GM the emails I exchanged when placing my deposit (which showed I was promised MSRP with no MA or dealer fees), he said the District Manager wouldn't let him sell the vehicle for any less than 5k over the MSRP regardless of what they promised me. Please do yourself a favor and find another local dealer who doesn't try to take advantage of their customers. Also, this is a sister dealership with Cobb County Toyota, so I'd imagine this is the same District Manager and the same problems there as well. read more
