The sales team was good. The vehicle was a complete lemon, bought brand new. Transmission slams and Toyota is playing around acting like I'm just gonna let them screw me on a 24,000 dollar car. Currently in review for lemon law and I will be getting a lawyer if they don't make it right. I will never buy another Toyota if they don't either. The car is so nice on the outside but when your family or friends are riding along with you in your brand new car and it slams, it's embarrassing. It's more embarrassing when the incompetent techs have no idea what kind of transmission is in the car. Had one tell me it's an "automatic". Had one say the cvt has 2 belts. The k120 cvt has 1 belt and a launch gear. So far this has been the worst experience I've ever had. I'd suggest before you buy a vehicle here you check out your other options or you'll be on the side of the road. Even had a tech tell me to wait until it completely breaks... absolutely laughable. read more

I have been a lifelong Toyota owner, two limited tundras, one limited rav4, and most recently a 2022 Limited Hybrid Highlander bought brand new. I always get my Toyotas serviced at a genuine Toyota dealership. I took my Highlander here for its 60k services, which is multi-point vehicle inspection, all filters inspection, oil and filter change, and then brought four brand new tires for mount and balance. This was my first and quite likely last ever visit to this dealership. The tires were mounted and balanced but the tech did not clean the inside of the premium chrome wheels or remove the old wheel weight adhesive residue. They simply stuck the new weights on top of the break dust, dirt, and old weight foam remnants. The weights are stickers with lead on them for those that don't know. How many of you have ever stuck a sticker on a dirty surface? They come off easier than a clean surface. Paying $40 a tire ($160 total), I expected the area to be wiped with a rag at bare minimum before placing the new weights. When speaking to Liz my advisor, she stated she didn't know (but has been doing this for 15 years......), and brought over the service manager who plain out said - nope, they're fine. When I explained my concern and knowledge (previous tire and lube tech with family 5 star factory certified mechanics), he wouldn't even agree that it's unreasonable to stick the weights on a dirty surface. Since I couldn't get my car back without paying, I paid but intend to speak to the locations general manager. When it comes to Toyota, I buy them due to their quality and value retention, I take servicing them seriously. This was something that was simply fixable and quite frankly takes no time to do it right the first time. When fixing it, only takes a moment also. I took the vehicle home, and inspected it further. The GPS tracker that dealer installed when purchased was still disconnected. The engine air filter box had no disturbed dust (never checked), the cabin air filter was never checked, the HV Battery Filter wasn't checked, the oil change reminder dash programming was not reset and is still calling for vehicle service. At this point I'm not even sure they did the oil change I paid for, at all. When I checked my own air filters, they need to be replaced, they didn't even check them otherwise could easily have sold those to me. TLDR: Service manager doesn't give a crap about quality or workmanship. 15 year service advisor Liz doesn't know basic maintenance needs and processes. Unable to validate multi-point inspection work ever done at all, nor all paid services. read more

As many reviews have said, you can't trust the sales department at this dealership to deliver what they promise. For me, I placed a deposit to reserve a new vehicle at a documented promised price and 13 months later when it was finally allocated, they added an extra 5k dollars market adjustment. Even after showing the GM the emails I exchanged when placing my deposit (which showed I was promised MSRP with no MA or dealer fees), he said the District Manager wouldn't let him sell the vehicle for any less than 5k over the MSRP regardless of what they promised me. Please do yourself a favor and find another local dealer who doesn't try to take advantage of their customers. Also, this is a sister dealership with Cobb County Toyota, so I'd imagine this is the same District Manager and the same problems there as well. read more

I brought my car in for a routine oil change. They told me my water pump was leaking and it would be $1200. They also added over $500 of other problems with my car. They didn't even tell me my car was ready after waiting two hours for an oil change. I have to ask the desk for a status on my car. She told me it was already ready but no one called me. No one called me the last time I got my oil changed as well. I went to get a second opinion from another Toyota dealer and they told me nothing was wrong with my car beside a couple of filters needing changing. read more

A review of the collision dept.: After a dumb-ass ran the red light -- thankfully I'm okay -- my Corolla needed front end repair. We chose Cherokee Toyota from USAA's list of authorized service stations. They did a bang-up job. (Yeah, yeah, bad joke for a collision shop.) But seriously, the repair looks great, they finished exactly when they said they would, their price appeared reasonable -- hey, even when insurance pays, I take that into consideration! -- and the staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with. I bought my 2014 Toyota Tacoma from here back in January 2016 and had an excellent buying experience, other than where finance tries to sell a warranty on the vehicle; but that's their job. I took my truck back a few times for service and it was excellent each time. Then I moved and was no longer close to continue to have my car serviced here. But since then I have gotten phone calls and emails left and right about not just service reminders but also them wanting to sell me a new car. Well a little over a month ago I sold my truck and bought a new car where I live now. Since it was before the loan was up I am owed a refund on a percentage of the leftover GAP premiums I paid. But it has been like pulling teeth to get back this little bit of money. I have sent the finance guy the required paperwork several times. They need a cancellation notice, an odometer reading, and payoff letter; all of which I have sent. The first time I sent it I got no acknowledgement that it was received so I emailed asking for the status 2 weeks later and they claimed they haven't received the paperwork via email. I resent it again and still no acknowledgement that they received it again; so I'll have to email finance again and ask them the status. It should not be this hard to cancel GAP and get a refund. read more

Recently my favorite sports car was totaled by a big deer. So in looking for a replacement with a lot less maintenance I found a Mazda 6 with a manual transmission at Cherokee county Toyota.I communicated with the salesperson online and we negotiated the price over several days. Once I got the price I want it I went into the dealership to test drive the car and inspect it. The dealership is way up in Canton Georgia a good distance from Atlanta. However, it was a much more comfortable feel in working with them, in trying to complete the purchase. the dealership does not charge those stupid, fake, dealer fees, which can be as much as $699. Upon taking delivery of the car I was actually in and out of the dealership in less than 90 minutes. They also do something a little unusual when buying a used car they will give you a two months two thousand mile warranty, which many dealerships will never give you on a used car purchase. I would suggest if you're looking for a new Toyota or some type of used car, this may be a place that is worth the drive to get a nice pressureless experience. read more

The service department replaced my flywheel and burned-out clutch on my 2005 RAV4, with 206k miles. Took a day to get the parts, then a day to replace. Liz arranged a tow truck and offered to arrange a rental. She kept me informed and tolerated my impatience. I was pleased with their work! Got to amend. Liz is great, but the service tech left off a couple of bolts when he installed the new clutch, causing an occasional rattle. Got the car in a shop at home in Lexington, Ky., and it's fixed. read more

This review is for the collision center. We have used them in the past and they were great. This time is has been a nightmare. They have blown through every single deadline, delivery promise. This job was a 3 day job. We are 6 weeks waiting for the vehicle. No calls, no callbacks. I went up there. Tried to claim couldn't get parts. I, the owner, can get parts, but not the shop? Apparently they discovered after 3 weeks (after I went up there) parts were not ordered. Gave me a rental on their dime for 3 weeks. Came back and repair not complete. 6 weeks for a 3 day job, and still not done. I don't have the vehicle back yet, so I cannot comment on workmanship. But after this experience I would say AVOID at all costs.... I have come to the conclusion, right now they are unable to do the job, any job. read more

The battery in my wife's Lexus died and I called Cherokee Toyota and spoke to Service Writer Josh Trainer. I explained my problem to him, and he advised me to charge the dead battery and bring the car to the service center and he would take care of it. When I arrived, I gave Josh the keys and left the engine running. I waited in the waiting room and in a very short amount of time, I was advised that a new battery had been installed and that I was ready to go. As Josh was driving the car to one of the service bays, he noticed that I might have a brake issue, so he had one of the technicians check the brake pads and found that they needed to be replaced. He gave me a price to do this work, but I could not wait and have the brake work done at that time, but I will call him in a few days and have the brake pads replaced. Josh is a very personable and knowledgeable Service Writer and has excellent customer service skills. I appreciate the way he cares for his customers and takes care of my automobile needs. Service department is truly what they are . If you need more then an oil change forget it! They had my truck for 3 days to find a problem I was experiencing. As a non mechanical person I described as best as I could but said 1 test drive they would understand problem. 3 days later they said they were unable to notice anything. $70 something dollars later I pick the truck up only to have doing the same thing pulling away from dealership. With a quick google search and found the problem was a common problem with that make and model. One call to a independent shop and they knew what I was experiencing. Truck was at that shop for 5hrs and the problem was solved. This Toyota dealer has lost our family and friends business moving forward. read more

Usually my technician is Liz, but today I had Gary whom has serviced me in the past as well. He was so instrumental in finding out what the problem with my car was, taking care of finding out what part of the warranty was covered and what was not, and keeping the cost down. He also, after the service department was closed, looked at an issue I had with my seat warmer buttons and came up with a creative temporary solution until my next oil change to fix it...without charging me. Very disappointed in the service department. I bought a used truck from them a few months ago, $42,000+. Was VERY happy with the purchase experience. Scheduled an oil change appointment for this past Saturday at 8:00am. I am supposed to get a free oil change and tire rotation since I spent so much for a used truck but never even got that far. Turns out their "appointments" are ONLY to meet with a Service Advisor, it is NOT an appointment to actually have the work performed! REALLY?! You get to wait in line and be taken "first come-first served" style with everyone else who just "walked-in" for service. That makes ZERO sense. I was told people were lined up starting at around 6:30am and having an appointment only meant I got to meet with the Service Advisor at that time instead of waiting behind walk-in people waiting for a service advisor and then I get to sit and wait behind everyone who walked-in before my "appointment" time. THEN the Advisor tried to make analogies. "It's like going to the doctors office or your hair stylists. You have an appointment but they never take you at that time." (???!!!) Um, no. If I have an appointment at my doctors office or my hair stylists, they check me in AND TAKE ME AT MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME! It makes no never-mind who "walked-in" before my appointment time! My appointment time takes precedence! So beware at Cherokee County Toyota - If you spend $42,000+ to buy a car/truck from them and you schedule an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, you will STILL go to Jiffy Lube and spend $100+ for the oil change and then rotate your own tires in your driveway. I came in this afternoon and Marcus was who helped me. Not only was he extremely helpful and patient, but I felt welcome and respected. He took all of his afternoon to pull cars for me to look at and test drive, listened to everything I said, guided me throughout this process, ran numbers, the works. I spent hours there, and the entire process was great. Not only did Marcus help me so much and was so kind and patient, but the manager, the "finance guy", the whole team worked together there and went above and beyond anything I expected to receive. Bought my 2019 vehicle at Cherokee Toyota and have been getting it serviced there ever since. They have done good work, but be careful with some of their service writers. They will try to sell you unnecessary work and parts that are incredibly overpriced. If they try to sell you something on top of your regular service that you're iffy about JUST SAY NO and have it checked at an independent shop. Every time I have been there, they have tried to sell me a $85 cabin air filter. Even after I put in a new one myself. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Never in my life have I experienced such bad experience from trying to buy a vehicle. I was originally told a Tacoma I was looking at purchasing was around 45k. After a week of trying to get more information on pricing of accessories and final price of the truck, I was finally given a total price of over 50k. When asked to explain the price, I was told the price of the truck with no accessories added was over 47k. He then proceeded to tell me they add a $2500 market adjustment on all new vehicles. That would have been nice to know from the beginning. If that is the case, then why would you tell me the truck was around 45k? I would not have wasted my time and theirs because that would have put me over a payment I was comfortable with. Additionally, I called this salesman to try to speak to him on 2 occasions and also emailed him and asked him to call me. The second time I called, he said he was busy and had a customer in his office and would call me back. I never received a phone call back. I also called and asked for a manager to call me. Guess what? I never received a phone call from the manager either. I guess the salesman felt more comfortable being a liar over email. I will take my business elsewhere. To cut to the chase, it was a "bait and switch" attempt. I ordered a 2022 Tacoma and it was to be delivered on 3/9. When I called about it I was told it did not come in an "may' be in on the following Saturday. Several minutes later, I get a text saying that they could put me in another similar vehicle, but more expensive, and could do it that day. I tell them that I'm looking at other dealerships for another truck and...you guessed it, abracadabra, my truck appears, sort of. I make arrangements to pick it up that evening and make the drive to Canton after work. When I get there I'm shown the truck, granted it was dark, and begin to fill out the paperwork for it. During a down time I go out for further inspection of the truck and find that it didn't have any seats in the rear. I ask one of the receptionist where the seats are and he says that this model doesn't come with them. I then ask if they can be installed and he says that they cannot. I tell him that I was told that there would be fold down seats and was even shown an example on another truck in the lot when I made the order. The receptionist just shrugs his shoulders. I then, for my own entertainment, ask if there is another similar one on the lot and there was but, you guessed it, more expensive. I then tell them that they really need to get their story together before they try to pull this stunt and that they can keep this truck too. Do NOT go to this dealership to buy anything. They'll try to con you out of every dollar possible. I won't name the salesman or the manager that I spoke with. They know who they are and it really doesn't matter. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! GO TO MILTON MARTIN IN GAINESVILLE!!!!!! I took my Toyota Tacoma in for a popping in the front passenger side. At pick up we was charged $3973 for brakes, drums and rotors. For a popping in the front we were told they could do an alignment which was needed due to larger tires on the vehicle. We leave there drive home we still hear popping, make an appointment at another mechanic shop to get the alignment. At pick up there we were told they couldn't sue an alignment due to Cherokee Toyota leaving off a clotted pin the upper ball joint. Which was NEVER. Replaced and ended up being the whole reason for the popping in the first place. I take it back to Cherokee Toyota to question why it wasn't fixed only to be told it wasn't like that when you're left. Wait what? They are crooked as can be. They charged us for stuff we didn't even need and refuse to fix it. Yet wanted us to pay another $1000 for more work. The service manager (Todd) was rude to us after we told his this should have been fixed to start with and not brakes! Will never give this place another penny. This is the second time we have run into them doing unnecessary things then charging a crazy amount. read more

I'm a customer of Cherokee county Toyota in Canton Georgia I purchased three cars from them in the past 4 years a few month ago l was in the market for a car I stopped by the dealership to get a quote and I end up talking to the sales manager Mr l (I do not want to say his full name) he was very rude but I was okay with it back then at some point he asked me where I'm from (I immigrant you the United States) and when I told him where I'm from is attitude change completely to the wars today I called the dealership again to get a quote for a Tundra 1794 and I explained to them that I already have an offer for the same truck at a different dealership which is about 2 hours from where I live I explained to them since I bought already three cars from them I want to get the best price that I can get and see if they can match so I can purchase the truck from them at that point then transfer the the call again on the other line is Mr I the sales manager he was very rude and he was trashing the other dealership claiming they are giving me false information and there is no way that's the price that I got and he started to ask you questions that make me feel that he is trying to prove that I'm lying to you at that point I told him I didnt call you to trash the other dealership I just called to give me your best price with all the respect I didn't ask for your opinion from that point he just made a point to humiliating me and talk to me in offensive way among the stuff that he told me is that they don't need me as a customer quote please go and drive 2 hours and make a video how they will tell you the hit you with fees and taxes and send it to me so I can laugh he was laughing at me with the people that was next to him telling me to go go drive to your best deal and then he hung up the phone on me at that point I wanted to file a complaint to Toyota USA I can't help the feeling that that is not an experience anybody should have so please do not purchase at that dealership! read more

Several thousand dollars later and many repairs later, I am now told they "will not honor the work" because they used factory parts?! I am calling BS! Don't trust Brad the shop manager. I was having issues with audio connectivity between my phone and the radio system. I tried going to a dealership in another city and I was told my phone was the only possible issue and there couldn't be any issue with the car systems. I decided to come to this location while I was in town and see if they could offer me feedback on how to resolve the issue, even if it was just with my phone's connection. Liz made a special effort to get me in when it was convenient for me, since I was coming from out of town, then set up an appointment with John and filled him in since she wouldn't be in the day I came in. John was very patient and kind as he helped explain the different possible sources of the issue and helped me troubleshoot. We found a resolution and he offered recommended fixes if it ever acts up again. Overall they were incredibly helpful, prompt, and kind! read more

I took my car in for 12,000 maintenance which was oil change and tire rotation. I was there for an hour which was great! After getting on I575, I heard a horrible rattling from under the hood of car. Had to exit and turn back to the service dept using my hazard lights as top speed was 40 to keep it from rattling so badly. They said the oil pan was not secured properly. They can't do a simple oil change correctly, so I will not go back to this Toyota location for ANY work. read more
