Cherry Bean has been a coffee shop staple in this part of Highlands/Sunnyside for over a decade. I often forget about this spot. Great dining options like Nozomi and Ramen Star across the street. This building seems to have some history to it, with the exposed brick wall behind the counter. Feels like it could've been a soda shop back in the day! The space is quaint and minimally decorated. They boast a robust menu of drinks and snacks. Got my usual coffee shop order, an Iced Americano and breakfast burrito. Coffee was good, providing a much needed caffeine jolt. The burrito was above average compared to other cafes. The pork had excellent flavor. Service was very friendly and the store was quiet for the few hours I worked on my laptop. They have lots of pastries and a sizeable drink menu with protein lattes, smoothies, teas, etc. I think I need to add this one back to the rotation. I am updating my review- I am also raising my rating up from 2 to 4 stars. The first few times I came here I was sorely disappointed by service and the food I received. Today I was actually welcomed with a warm smile instead of the two ladies before who had awful attitudes. I got some oatmeal, because I did not have faith in trying the burrito again. I was very happy with the oatmeal. Quick, healthier and it was yummy too! The serve yourself coffee was hot and tasted much better this time around too. All in all I had a much better experience! Thank you to the lady behind the counter this morning (5/13/26) that helped turn around my opinion of this local shop! For those who like to stick around the coffee shop- this place is clean, has good seating options both inside and outside. My family and I visited Denver over the holidays and stopped into this coffee shop twice. The staff is incredibly kind and efficient. The BAT (bacon, arugula, and tomato) sandwich was delicious. My son got chocolate milk and said it was the best chocolate milk he's ever had. The honey and cardamom latte was amazing. 10/10 recommend! read more

Medium sized and quaint coffee shop near the Highland area. Friendly service the moment you walk in the door. Eager to assist and answer any questions you may have about the coffees they offer. My family was indecisive yet the staff remained patient with us while we were making our decision. There was plenty of seating for my family of 6 and it was quiet inside so that we could easily have a conversation with each other. We ordered 3 drinks: 1. Matcha frappe - light taste of matcha which my mom liked since matcha can make the coffee overly bitter. Good frappe consistency. 2. Salted caramel latte - my dad is difficult to please yet he enjoyed his SCL which wasn't overly sweet. 3. Horchalatte with milk substitute oat milk - great drink. We got the salted caramel latte, matcha frappe, and horchatalatte. Salted caramel latte was creamy and not overpowering. The matcha in the matcha frappe was not too bitter. I generally hit up C-Bean on a weekend. Their coffee and service never fails me. High praise for high natural lighting too. My only genuine feedback is please wrap the burritos in a more cleaner/less leaky way. They taste great but the convenience of a handheld burrito is compromised when it's not as compact. I'm obsessed with this spot. I probably visited over ten times last month LOL let me tell you why I love it. 1. Quality drinks. Add ons to drinks- the salted caramel latte with CBD (iced) is my go-to. I will gladly pay $9 for coffee from here. Like take my money pls They also have a huge variety to pick from! 2. All the food I've tried has been 10/10. From the breakfast sandwiches to the avocado toast- just YUM. 3. Cutie spot to work from! And good wifi. Ok firstly churro croissant?? I saw that when ordering ahead and thought ummm I clearly need to try. Well my expectations were low; not because I didn't have faith in this coffee shop but I just figured it would be a croissant dusted with cinnamon and sugar no big deal. Boy was I ever wrong. Yes it was still dusted with cinnamon and sugar but it was also filled with the most delicious lime custard? Which when you think of it all together: flaky buttery pastry, rich flavorful custard and cinnamon sugar dusting it's pretty heavenly. If you're on the fence about trying it let this be your sign that you absolutely need this in your life. Regarding the coffee; I got an iced latte with oat milk. Anytime I see lavender on the menu I absolutely must order it as it's one of my favorite flavors ever; and naturally when you pair that with vanilla it's a match made in heaven. This was no exception. A truly wonderful vanilla lavender latte! The oat milk made it extra creamy and you can tell the quality if the coffee is top notch from the flavor. I would order this latte again and again and I guess my only qualm is that I don't live closer to make this a reality lol. The atmosphere is better than the drinks! I got a matcha latte, and there are many different kinds of matcha theirs is more on the tart side. It Wasn't sweet even adding a pack of raw sugar. My friend got some loose tea which is cool they set a timer for you to let it steep. The people who worked there were super knowledgeable about the tea and the plants inside the shop. I am so happy I found this little gem! Such a great neighborhood spot and it's always a good sign to see friendly conversations between staff and regulars coming in. I really liked the atmosphere and although dining inside is not possible at the moment due to COVID-19, I can imagine this would normally be a great place to sit down and enjoy your coffee. I got the horchalatte and breakfast burrito which were both amazing! I really love the flavor and the uniqueness of the latte and will definitely be returning for it again. This is my first review because I never really feel a need to do so - not that kind of person. So I felt really weird upon entering here, but didn't think much of it. I asked for a large regular cold brew. Service came out quick! No complaints and really was appreciate of the efficiency. However, I noticed a lot of nitrogen bubbles in my drink so I just asked the group of baristas, who were huddled, if this was nitro or regular cold brew. They assured me regular. As I was leaving, I heard the workers all burst into laughter as I was closing the door. It was definitely a nitro cold brew. The whole experience made me feel super uncomfortable. I used to live on the other side of 38th street and would love coming here for a treat occasionally. From the first visit, the Cortadito Cubano is an amazing, sweet, strong, and creamy drink. I was in the area today so I stopped by to get a cold drink on the first warm day since before winter and went with the Coconut Spinach smoothie which has pineapple, coconut water, spinach, banana and I think tumeric. Delicious drink to match the day. It's a little pulpy so maybe another smoothie or a italian soda should be your option if you're looking for something smooth or homogenous like jamba juice. $9 is a little steep for a smoothie, but it is a good size and I'm willing to support them this time during COVID especially since so don't come here often. The owner, Simón, made my drink and he asked how I was doing during COVID times. Nice, hard working guy. They also have these outdoor seating pods and picnic benches outside (pictures attached) and a couple tables inside. All in all, I love this place. I really liked the beetroot latte. The color was vibrantly red. The drink itself was sweet but not too sweet. I was pleasantly surprised by the beetroot taste and thought the atmosphere was quaint and nice. There is a lot of street parking around the area so I wouldn't worry about that. There isn't a lot of seating indoors and I'd say the seats are kind of uncomfortable, but not too bad. If I'm ever in the area, I might be craving that latte again! read more

Cherry Bean is a very pleasant place to sit and chat, read, or work. They have plentiful beverage options with some unique choices. They have plenty of seating, including a large table that is wide enough for two laptops back to back. So nice for a work day here. Their internet is free and good speed. They also offer printing which could be helpful. The staff is usually quite nice and always helpful. Sometimes the early mornings can get to them as they do to us all. All the beverages I have tried here have been good. From classic coffee drinks to flavored lattes to smoothies. I like that they have unique flavor options and not always just syrups. They also have changing drink specials which is fun. They do not have a ton of vegan food options but occasionally there are some and they have dairy free milks for beverages. read more
