Our lunch at Green Collective Eatery was overall average. The space has a nice vibe, but the experience lacked a bit for me. It took a little longer than expected for anyone to greet us--likely because the staff seemed short-handed and were juggling a steady line of customers. We tried the ginger snap bites from the display case on the counter. I'm not sure we knew what we were getting because the labeling wasn't very clear. The texture was unexpectedly mushy and not very ginger flavored so we wondered if we were given the snickerdoodle balls instead as the labels were on top of each other. The Med Salad had good flavors overall but the croutons were so hard they were almost inedible and there was an overwhelming amount of anise in it which caught me off guard. The bone broth was the biggest disappointment; it lacked depth and tasted more like an old bouillon cube than a fresh and rich broth. On a positive note, my friend's chopped peanut salad looked fresh and well-composed, so there are definitely bright spots on the menu. In the end, it wasn't a terrible experience--just not one that stood out in the way we hoped. With some tweaks in execution and clearer communication on menu items, it could easily be much better. I used to frequent a coworking space down the street, so I'd walk to Green Collective regularly. I've had both the salads and smoothies. Everything is so fresh and delicious! Yes everything feels quite pricey (especially the smoothies) but the quality is excellent. Service is friendly. Seats are inside the eatery as well as on the patio. Came in for lunch and split an avocado toast and salad. Both of these food items were delicious! My wife ordered a green tea and that was TERRIBLE! And I offered an iced americano which was also not so good. It tasted really watery and lacked any substantial flavor. I'm knocking two stars off because they need to step their game up when it comes to their drink options. The green tea was so awful my wife didn't even drink it. Also, the table we sat at wasn't even cleaned. They did have a lot of customers but they seemed pretty decently staffed with four ladies working. Tea costs them pennies. There is no excuse for that. I'm giving them three stars instead of one because the women working behind the counter were polite and helpful with questions. I was also expecting a runny egg, which would have taken it up a notch. The whipped goat toast? 5/5--absolute perfection. The mix of cheese, honey, and nuts was spot on. I'd come back just for this. The atmosphere is pleasant. I dined in and got served at the table, and the service was great. Everything felt fresh and made from scratch. Now, about the pricing--as tasty as the toasts were, almost $30 for two pieces of bread with toppings (including tax and tip) is steep. I love the food here particularly the pink acai bowls but I stopped going to wash park location because I found the service staff are so unfriendly and completely put me off from going. It's sad because there's no other great acai bowl places in Denver. The lemon poppy loaf is so good too. Upon entering, it's super cute inside and the staff is extremely friendly. There's not a ton of space to sit indoors, but that's totally fine! They have plenty of patio seating (reminds me of sitting outdoors for lunch as a kid in elementary school haha). We placed our order and decided to sit outside. It was pretty nice weather, but they also have have those space heater things for outside, too, in case it's a little too chilly out. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and it was delish. We were stuffed (breakfast before and tacos after), but split the genius toast flight, where you get to choose 3 half sized toasts of your choice. Well, I am so glad I found Green Collective this morning! A cute little coffee and brunch shop in one of my favorite parts of town, GC is staffed by super friendly people and is serving great coffee and bites. Denver is not exactly bereft of great coffee places, you could try a different one every day of the week and be more than satisfied. But, there's an extra something here, the cold brew (w/ oat milk) was delicious with an extra bit of body that you don't always find. And the toast options are great as well. Get a full order, mix and match, or try one of the specials, you simply can't go wrong. Honestly, the greatest avocado toast I've had.
